Photograph

Send me a photograph of you in all your glory, Stripped to the bare bones of beauty And smiling in the noonday sun; And I shall build my dreams around imaginary stories, Walk in the paths of love and duty, Until my empty days are done. Send me a photograph of you in lavish poses, Naked in the dew soft dawning And lying on the Summer grass; And I shall see you overshadow beauty of the roses, Drink of your soul each waking morning, Until my passing comes to pass.
