Greed caused the two-thousand eight (2008) crash
Then the banksters grabbed all our cash
Now brash Donald Trump
With backlash from the dump
Can rant for the pile of white trash...

The backlash against CV-19 restrictions erupted
The plan to wear masks and social distance disrupted

Now that the numbers are spiking upward again
Will we have 'whiplash' with which to contend?...

The Tempest
The sea in turmoil lets the billows crash,
As the moon watches playful high tides,
Plunge to bathe the lone barren rocky beach;
Kindle a stormy froth and fuming backlash.

Never trust the sea with dark horizons;
For its waves change at their discretion:...

Static
The impression that you give off
is that of regression
unable to
withstand the need
the backlash
the challenge that only
i can provide.

Oh. Now i'm disillusioned?

Pretty words and promises
are not enough to
sustain a soul,
especially the raw one
inside....

Premium Member Back Then
At first, he'd meant to make a difference.
But, he lost his ideals making deals-
the back-room,
you-scratch-my-back-I'll-scratch-yours,
backstabbing variety...
Then there was the payback, backlash and push-back.
Now no one recognizes him, back home.

Tissue,pigmented,black,brown or white,
Everyone equal in the creator's sight;
Whatever shaded membrane skin,
Just a covering,layered thin.
Purely an accident of birth,
Never a value of our worth;
Customs and culture the true divide,
Ignorance its willing guide.
Repercussion and backlash,we reap
When our thinking,stays skin deep....

Excuses Excuses
Excuses Excuses
It's my way of avoiding undesirable work
Allowing me to keep my sanity for better uses

Excuses Excuses
People can tell when I use them
I don't care, doesn't stop me
Everyone is guilty of using them
Much easier than hearing the backlash,
Of that one time I decided to be honest
And say “I don't want to do this, I'm sorry!”...

Cinco De Mayo
Cinco de Mayo
At Mar-a-Lago
Is serving up Mexican lies

Trump welcomes us all
To pay for his Wall
In a scam each Republican buys

You know Wells Fargo
And Mar-a-Lago
Are models of integrity

Well, that big Caravan
Is Cartel to a man
There is no true refugee!

So forget the backlash
Just send Trump your cash
For a Wall that defines liberty!...

I feel this urge
It’s a backlash
A surly surge
And its so absurd
That people try
To sell their souls
When it’s the one thing
That cant be bought
Or sold or transferred
You can change oneself
And live like your soul
Doesn’t matter
But really who would want
Your life after you took
All the sin
Yeah you don’t know
Perhaps you’re ready
To begin again

Truth Too Late
too much backlash
not enough research
i am the cause of my broken heart

too much tv
not enough affection and attention
i am the cause of my lonely soul

too many wishes for being by myself
not enough prayers for her love and care
i am the cause of my icy cold teardrops

too much time gone by
not enough attempts left after the (too) late bell rings
i am the number one enemy of myself...

Premium Member We Find Our Way
I hang onto your genuine words
That fill me with calm content
I am safe with the singing birds
With your daily caring, intent

To splash my life with special things
Surprises, care and joy
Without backlash that stings
Without confusion, reigned with a ploy

You have found your way to me
Gratitude fills my every day
Enhancing all that I can be
Together we find our way

Covid-19 Backlash Begins
Throughout America, oh, dear,
Which let their Mr. Trump lead them
To believe it was all ok.
Now, America must say what
We all will experience
As Covid-19 does its thing
And backlashes us all insane.
It will be wild, us fighting it,
Without a vaccine to help us
Listen no more to anyone
Who’d lead us like sheep to slaughter.

Chemo Fun
Sitting in the backseat ~ yackety
she drives like
    crackers ~ wackedy
speeding to the movies?
we can’t be late?
Driver ahead asleep at the
    light
panic stop she makes ~ 5 seatbelts lock
But the
backlash! ........... flying wig
plops smack in my lap . . . .
Screaming fits of laughter all around.
Late to the movies after all,
    not nearly as good.

Vibrations
The battlelines were drawn.
While drinking the sun
I set myself ablaze

A hooded dilemma
of his kindness
starts boiling in chaotic dissonance.

A backlash stops a self-search.
Who am I and why do I belong
in the spinning of descent.

There were flames in every home
and biting dust of the moon.
Where the man will go.

The birth’s print and death’s answer
had the bidding game.
I was standing in the middle.

Premium Member My Time Is Near
I finally see the day
Where I will draw the line
Where I will have had enough
And stand up
Brand my sword
I’ll stare you down
And growl
Come no closer
I see the day is near
And feel the strength
Run through my veins
I feel the rage bubbling
I’m on the edge
And feel exhilarated
Freedom is nigh
And the backlash
Of repression is about
To be unleashed

*Please no bashing of the president, or others etc. (or I will just delete my poem)
*This is just a silly vent in general with a little sarcastic humor too.
  Thank you!

Here we go again, hop on the political rollercoaster ride!
Back and forth backlash, as if the carts are about to fall off the tracks!
With all our stomachs rolling and things flying through the air,
No-one seems to care, we are no longer ‘united’ anywhere!
