Dissociation
I’m on autopilot.
Surrounded by an unfamiliar climate.
I’m on the outside looking in.
Looking down at blurry skin.
It’s possible I could be dead.
I'm Just a small person in my head....

Premium Member Why My Love For You Never Changed
It's because the great depth of our romantic love,
opened a portal for spiritual love,
once connected it exists,
on a plane or level,
not affected or influenced by,
worldly trials and tribulations,
love on autopilot....

Sheep Carriage
Night sky: lifeless, dull, chalky gray

Apathetic expressions face one way

Eyelids heavy, long day

Foggy windows, potholed roads

Warm breaths exhaled, the seats are cold

Zombied stares at blinding screens

Infinite autopilot, we're all machines...

"The Keys to the Kingdom"

The keys to my kingdom
daughter.

The past blends through
labyrinths of now
into futures’ otherworldly
spectrums

to all shades of Violet
containing release
only geared for
one autopilot

LOVE.

Autopilot
Ascending number of waves flow
Ultimate beads of ripples grow
Tensionless journey through the wind
Onto dry sand it smiles and grins
Politely moisting nearby rocks
Intricate rainbows form on docks
Laudable detail with each splash
Ornate sea treasures in a cache
These depths of matter can flummox....

The Slow Earth
Someone has pickled the butterflies
          Which now line like lead
     My black box belly,
A living dearth.

We twist around little sorrys, our
          Cement-mixer minds
     absorb from Telly
What we're worth.

Dry-ice autopilot turns on, as
          Words fly past windows,
     Staining like jelly
The slow earth....

Autopilot
Sometimes in life, although it be,
a person can be good.

For reasons we don't understand,
perhaps misunderstood.

To wrap your mind around the facts
is not an easy thing..

No pilot in the cockpit;
"Look!,"; he's standing on the wing!

"Don't jump!", we say, he looks around
he doesn't say a word.

He jumps 10,000 feet to earth;
at last he's finally cured!...

Idea
Idea

Dream a nation; take a vacation.
Autopilot does not need direction.
Claim a notion; works a vocation.
Words do not have to have perfect punctuation.

Message in a bottle; totally random.
Chaos Theory. A hat may not fit.
Ring the chapel bells and then leap on a tandem.
Tyger eyes watch it go by without realizing it.

Sleepwalking
Existing in chaos, mind’s fog
World of haze, devoid of color
Mindless drone, autopilot
Going through the motions as if
Sleepwalking
Through the dense gloom, the gray horizon seen
In a daze, the cold emptiness never ending
Sleepwalking by day
Existing only to find solace at twilight
Overindulgence, ceasing the chatter, ceasing the noise
Sleepwalking, hoping to one day awaken from this prison...

Beyond Dimensions
My daily ride to Sand Island
Is now a pleasant memory:
Beautiful, nameless wildflowers
Led the way on both sides of me
And their commingled fragrances
Intoxicated my senses-
Numb insubstantiality:
Reality doesn’t exist
in this fantastical stupor.
I was still mindful of peddling
But in an autopilot mode:
Safe, yet lost in dreamlike
Thought where past, present and future
continued in the same time-frame....

Premium Member The Day After
the funeral over
everyone back
to their life as it was
she closes the door
and waves goodbye
thanking all
for their support
acting brave
the shell of her
still upright
somehow moving
on autopilot
left to manage
in an empty house
just her
the silence
and her tears

Town Hall Lemmings
The town hall clock chimed twelve
And the crowds they were a' swelling,
A vision came into my mind
They reminded me of lemmings.

Of course there was no waiting cliff
No fabled deadly leaping,
Just an endless tidal flow
Onwards, ever creeping.

Each it seemed held a phone
'Twas quite a sight to see,
No colliding nor incidents
It was choreography!

We have evolved a sense
So we need not lift our heads,
We just switch to autopilot
Then chat and text instead....
