Thinking With Clarity
Thinking with clarity
not with austerity
or vulgarity
a propensity
for hilarity
and
bipolarity
She sat there thinking
in which direction
her life was heading
not dreading
the subheadings
and the
over-spreading
of load shedding

The Sahara Is Another Vast Sea
The Sahara is another vast sea
Of zero-edge horizons
And remote hours of austerity
For "sailors" upon caravans
And the Sun beams mercilessly
And seems cruel to patrons
Until the Wind scoffs haggardly
And reshapes its art of dunes....

Nine Eleven
from twisted metal singed and charred
an empire falls, with many scarred
time of uncertainty looms
life of austerity booms
left unconnected.
slain-ed on the banks of insanity,
uncertainty and unprotected
solely for the riches of vanity....

I do not know?
Steeleness Deadsilent
STEELENESS , dead silent
Ascetic
Broken Austerity
Delusion
Copasetic in poverty
Mass-confusion
Pathetically unspoken
Orphaned
Disparity
Silent burial
Silent ceremony.
end
Written Dec. 08th 2014. This is something that I wrote (after my good friends fathers funeral)...

Beauty of Simplicity
The rarity of difficulty
The difficulty of clarity
The clarity of intelligibility
The intelligibility of accessibility
The accessibility of understandability
The understandability of comprehensibility
The comprehensibility of austerity
The austerity of beauty
The beauty of simplicity...

Mosquitos Agony
They fight to death
Drenched by thirst
No need to resist-
Their Waterloo
They met
They sip little
And leave the jar
Harmless, they are-
They purge that little
Hope for more, undeterred
Do they last days?
Before they're taken preys
By the erring humans-
This austerity doesn't heal
Their agonies I feel...

Government
Our president sat on a wall
Our president had a great fall
All the Towers and all the powers
Couldn't repair as his face sours
Another president sits on the wall
I wonder will he have a great fall?
As our posterity(children's children's grandchildren0
Pay back forever our non-austerity with asperity ...

Ghosts
We are the first dead in this house
Books in dysfunctional piles; debris,
Tins of old paint in the garage,
Airtight as the finish on bedroom doors.
A density of standing air,solemn
With the austerity of dried cornflowers.
Sour margarine on thin grey bread,
Old gruel of past weekdays, gone;
Children`s laughter in a bottle,
Too late, too cold, now not part of it....

Lyrealism
There’s not much music in poetry now,
the poets have taken an austerity vow,
thread-bare lines, no rhythm or rhyme,
con-man words, artistic pantomime?
Lyricists shunned, unless rocking a mike,
It’s not what the Professors like!
Too confused by much now written,
Like abstract art, the critics smitten
by works that display very little skill,
I'd rather view Andrew Wyeth’s hill....

Austerity
Austerity?
Expensive cars chocking the approaches
to Vilamoura, the yacht and seaside town.
No austerity today, a man in an old Fiat
was laughed off the road, probably a waiter
on the way to work. No poverty no beggars
only shampooed dogs with golden collars.
And as always the poor, the silent majority,
stayed in their howls, sun is exclusively for
the perma- tan set in August....

Do Not Peer Inside
Do not peer inside,
The mind,
For my eyes only,
Taken into view,
Dancing around,
Watch it skip the beat,
The noisy rancid beat,
Laden with love and understanding,
Yet still bearing the
Inconceivable possibility,
Sharing its trunk,
Its contents,
The disheveled austerity
Of man,
Deep with righteousness,
Civility,
Divineness,
And thirst to quench
The vanquished,
Lumbering soul.

Beauteous Bones
We’ve not dreamt the crystal morn,
the tinkling ping of sun warmed ice,
the egg white branch of lilac dipped,
the magic of the wintry day
which fills the heart with awe.
Such days of silver ice and blue white snow
the lancing spears of ‘cicle formed
awake are we to majesty, that all too soon is gone.
Gone in graceful austerity, a loveliness all its own,
the white of skeleton, these beauteous bones....

Unfettered
The shoreless avenue
Is the theological dogma,
Lingered in the deepest shaft.
The prestige of the pure
Is the most honest conversation.
These shall cover the hunger
Of eloquence and austerity.
Shell the distracted ground,
When it rods beyond
The dreams of mysticism.
Love Letters to the ground
Signifies the embodied
Experiences of the past
Whilst I am whisked away
In my shattered cage....

Dyadic
A thesis, ascertained through abrasions of
decubitus ulcerations of existences austerity.
The colluded effect of unbeknownst
certainty.
Preluding the path of non precluding.
Additioned to the implausibility of unintended
effect.
Multiplied by the multiplicity of ignorant
ignorance.
Divided by the hidden figures of plausible
deniability.
Equaling the copiousness of insurrection
and egalitarianism....

Heaven On Earth
submit to God your lowly condition
assend to austerity with good intentions
kindness will be met with kindness abroad
unity and togetherness our goal not fraud
peace and harmony the good old fashion way
true love in our hearts for all this day
table for one can be for two
if manners and niceness are properly used
and it would be so fitting
for us to thank the Lord
for what we lost in eden
now happily restored...

You Are Rare
You are a poet, your words form a poetry,
You are a magician, you have magic in your authenticity,
You are an artist, I adore your life's artistry,
You are perfect, your imperfections shape your existence with clarity,
You are courageous, I take pride in your bravery,
You are kind, I bow before your heart of charity,
You are a happy soul, I will always love you heartly,
You are rare, I worship you in austerity.

Our Lives Rearranged
So many times our lives rearranged
Resilient we are, accustomed to change
Wars, Revolutions, Coups and Upheavals
Plunder and Pillage and assorted evils
Recessions, Depressions, Runaway Inflation
Calls for austerity and eating food rations
Bankruptcies, lay-offs, terminations
Then all of a sudden, rejuvenations
So go with the flow, and just do your best
Give yourself one leg up on the rest...

The Viola
Stringed strained vibrations
alto hauntings of the heart
playing strumpet along the inner ear
responsive fingering that cries aloud;
intensified bravado rhythms
that reverberate the shoulders, chin and arm
sensuous, distinctive obligatos
resonant timbre both sensual and veiled austerity
weeping muted strings,
calling out remote interludes
wafting on the darkened winds
forboding escape bidding the heart
to forget its muffled lament
and play on....

North Korea Now and Not Black Power
North Korea Now and Not Black Power
Is a prosaic
Of something quite archaic
Country far behind.
This is what I thought of after
watching news about North
Korea exploding another bomb.
Inferior countries are looking for
attention getters to overcome
and compensate for an inferior
complex. Of course, they thing
an occasional show of force and
people with uniforms full of medals
will also add to the austerity.

Promise Me
Promise me
That for as many hours
You spend trying
To keep your head above water,
Surrendering to the austerity of
The breaking waves
And the mystery of
An open ocean,
you inhale sea salt
and exhale anxiety.
Promise me
That for every time
You spend your energy treading water,
You delve into the color cobalt
And see a world better than your own.
Promise me that
You will dive into the waves
Instead of backing away,
Shed your worry
And welcome adventure....

The Day I Wrote a Nice Poem
Merry Christmas
Out of date cans of beans, cheapest cuts of meat,
presents bought one can ill afford, but pressure
to give is too strong to resist; beside it is nice to
see a child smile. A packet of cigarettes to uncle
Tom, a silk handkerchief to his wife-she cries a lot-
nicely wrapped in coloured paper. Austerity this
Christmas, so what! Next year´s will be better, we
are sure, even if the economic forecast is dismal,
the Eve will be familiar and cozy as usual....
