Quality of Discourse

So disappointing to have a reputation--
Known for argumentative disputation
When we could be known for a gentler tone,
Raising quality of discourse in our generation.

Argumentative

One,
Life long,
Liberty,
Reiterates,
Free speech upon all,
The right to anytime,
Complain about anything.
Even though nothing may happen,
We do it about every theme.
Until the day we die, maybe beyond.

A Short Hypocrocy

Im a little bit of what I see in everyone else. An exasperating inconvenience, ill-
disposed and argumentative. I want to hate you but then I would have to hate
myself. Self-centered, stingy, and stupendously sarcastic. I want nothing more than
for you to change.

Virgo Libra

Vibrant in life
Intelligent to boot
Rigid and lonely
Graceful but rude
Objective on occasion

Loving and true
Intriguing and mysterious
Balancing too
Romantic and charming
Argumentative and blue

Fishing

Fishing

The sea is turquoise
ships are clouds in the sky.
On the pier headless dolphins
side by side
Music in the air.
Children slide on gore.
shouting sellers
argumentative buyers.
a cacophony of humanity.
Bless this day.
This moment.
God is good here is food for all.

A mind in Turmoil

An argumentative person,
She spins nuanced thoughts for hours,
With an underappreciated approach,
Her resentful nature keeps her afar.

Agitation becomes her greatest foe,
Disrupting cycles, not just her own.
A hyperactive mind racing without pause,
Aloof and distant, fearing the spotlight on her flaws.

We Can Change

There is hope for humanity; we need to learn to get along and move past the insanity of doing what we know is wrong. We left our caves; then enchained slaves. Our fate's fueled by vanity; argumentative and headstrong we're stewards of profanity and can't tolerate trust for long. It all sounds strange; but we can change.

Electric Novice

Soft dreamy rainfall,
prelude to crackling thunder;
Tempestuous sky;

Attracted to heat
boorish Storm bothers the Sun,
electric novice;

Going back and forth
argumentative nature,
hail will never cease;

Camouflage of drops
design an unskilled picture;
Diamonds in a pond;

The water collects flooding,
a new world waits to unfold.

My Own Father

I AM MY OWN FATHER
I NEVER KNEW OR UTTERED THE WORD FATHER MY ENTIRE LIFE
AT SCHOOL MEETINGS,HE WAS NO SHOW
I ONLY MET MY FATHER FOR THE FIRST TIME AT HIS FUNERAL
THATS IRONIC
I HAVE ALWAYS STOOD UP FOR MYSELF

I AM MY OWN FATHER
I AM MY OWN HERO
I AM ROBUST,STUBBORN,PROTECTIVE OF MYSELF AND ARGUMENTATIVE
I CANNOT BE SHAKEN BY ANYTHING
I AM PROUD TO SAY,I AM THE MAN
I AM MY OWN FATHER

Just From Heart

If you truly love someone, you will do whatever it takes for both of you to last forever. You will learn to be more patient, caring, understanding, trustworthy, faithful, forgiving and tolerant. You’ll learn to be less argumentative, doubtful and judgmental. Just trust your heart with your mind, they have to work together to make your relationship long lasting. Be proud of yourself and the one you love.

Playing With Purple

Our purple is so argumentative She will be right no matter what Her beauty gets her by most times Her "stuff" she loves to strut... She will gladly be your best friend And decorate you from head to toe But be aware of hidden agendas She always has one you should know... I love this forever crazy lady And often invite her in to play But I know I should be careful Depending on her mood that day...

Julia Stretching Across the World

Julia's that special someone
who comes into your life
Besides a thrilling poet
she's a mother and a wife

First you don't understand
exactly what she means
but later on you grasp
Julia's more than she seems

She isn't argumentative
uncaring or aloof
just takes a little time
and knowing her is proof

I'm glad that I met Julia
and she's my facebook friend
A special kind of lady
to be enjoyed again!

See It My Way

Of course I agree with free speech
And the right of people to have their say,
But why can’t people be more reasonable,
And see it my way?

People accuse me of being argumentative
And of enjoying a good old verbal fight,
But I never argue with anyone,
I just explain to them why I’m right!

I justify my debating standpoint,
As if from the lyrics of some corny song:
I could agree with you …
But then we’d both be wrong!

Womanhood

Wisdom wild wavering wyrd, wonder of winsome ways
Ostentatiously opportunistic, Orpheus oneiric orchid,
Marvelously mystical mirth maker making man amaze
Ardently argumentative, and artistic accenter; avid
Nymph. Naturally nurturing nostalgic nidulation days
How do I praise the sweet excess in you, the grace
Oozing milk of kindness, compassion that bore me
Obdurate beauty more profound than the pretty face?
Dance dear dreamer devoid of drums drizzled memory.

The Curse Of Dementia

The Curse Of Dementia Miracle Man 2/13/2025 I awake to chatter that makes little sense, stress is overwhelming, dementia’s expense. Nary a time have I stood and yelled encore, because days are reruns from the day before. For the pain endured daily she has no feel? If only I knew what her thoughts could reveal. Dementia has caused us to become just friends, being argumentative until life ends. Married 59 years (to the same woman)

Conjoined

Conjoined, (Age & Depression) Written: by Tom Wright January 2015 My Golden years are tarnished, Fact is, they now resemble rust. Now most daily conversations, Wear an argumentative crust. I’m plagued by numerous issues, Virtually all related to health. As personal desires go unmet, Commodities steal my wealth. Age has left me with no options, My good times rest in my past. Seems I’m biding time awaiting The day to be counted my last;

The Honesty of Childhood Friends

Linda, you think that too?
I did not want to tell you, but since Jacque did.
Wait a second! You think I have road rage?

I have known them both for almost 60 years, but
they still betray me,
creeping at me with judgements, pretending to "help me"

Two childhood friends, doing a road rage intervention.
I am incredulous,
argumentative,
irritated,
ready to pack their stuff for them, and push them out the door.

I hope they will like their little 4 mile hike back to my house.
