I don’t know who invented it but it has a rhyme scheme of ABABCC ABABDD, and a syllable pattern of 888844 888844 (looks good centered, but that’s optional)
There's still hope for humanity
we need to learn to get along
and move past the insanity
of doing what we know is wrong.
We left our caves,
and made men slaves.
Our fate’s fueled by vanity,
argumentative and headstrong
we're stewards of profanity
and can't tolerate trust for long.
It all sounds strange,
but we can change.
