Lawrence
not taking
place or space
in Arabia

but a
sound
stage

no camel
needed but
an accordion

for sure and
always a
bubble

machine...

A Minor Spectacle One Night In Arabia
Cassiopeia reclined on her cosmic beach,
Longing for Orion so out of reach.
He was showing off to the stars,
As he spiked the Moon over Mars,
Wondering what next Venus would teach....

Mid Week Day
Like Laurence of Arabia in a camel race,
hump day can go by at a very fast pace,
while there are other times,
camel spits me in the eye,
and over the hump is no piece of cake.

Come My Love My Utopia
This world seems like dystopia
Come my love my utopia
Drive away my insomnia
Drive away my inertia
I have left old Arabia
You are my Abyssinia
You are my love’s sweet mania
Conquer my heart’s whole area...

Modern Iran From 1921
Iotallah, we've got you surrounded.
East and West we are.
Russians are north.
Arabia is south.
We've got you surrounded

Forget about making the nukes
We've got you surrounded.
Forget about killing innocent jews,
We got you real good....

I Am the Ibis
I am the Ibis a sacred bird,
from distant lands of the ancients.

the land of pyramids,
lands of Arabia and Africa.

Bird of knowledge that is friend to the Gods.

Brave during storms my will is as strong
as a Hurricane.

I am the last to take shelter before
a storm approaches
and the first to reappear
once
the
storm has passed....

Jumeirah Beach
She(Jumeirah) smiled to the breeze,
Frills of land skein floated ,
In an early spring in Arabia.

Midst of splashing waves ,
Beneath the date palms,
Bustling shores...

When the blue moon locked lips.
Whiffed "Oudh" and "Bakhoor"(fragrances)...
And Basked me on beaches.

Wandered ......till sunrise ,
Carried it to my dwelling,
And kept it in my heart....

Facebook
I love Facebook .
On the page,
I keep going in the middle.
I often do not look at the left
I mean adds & what other do.
Nor to the right side unless I want to post to a group.
In the middle of the page I read:
A joke from India,
A poem from Europe,
A story from Africa,
A book review from America,
A medical herb from China,
A nice bird from Australia,
A picture from Arabia,
And much more .....

Fado
Fado
What do we do with Fado, this guitar sound and
guttural Portuguese voice that has a twang of
Arabia in its heart and is pure poesy.

Life, loss longing and the finality of death, is in
songs that celebrate love’s unbearable sweetness,
our tragedy and the unobtainable.

Yes, sing me a Fado, let me hear the guitar and
I will close my eyes float in a sea of melancholy
and remember you....

1 Mile High
1 mile high

In Saudia Arabia they are building a shack
going to be a mile high
With parachutes for the top floors, Jack
F15 ejector seats stand by

Lower floors have slides
And some have flying foxes
So don’t be looking down your nose
No need to be obnoxious

So up there in the clouds you’ll sit
Low flying planes a zooming by
Watch out for Pelican grit
 plaster from the sky

Don Johnson...

I Was a Warrior
glorious and tall i stood...
you could lie and say i was king
and still tell the truth
i defeated Attila the Hun
and outwitted Alexander the great
upstaged Julius Caesar.
i crawled through the dunes of Arabia
and splattered them with bandit blood
i took the lives of many
that my people may be safe another day
i fought bravely for my country
and now, Valhalla awaits.

*i know the history is incorrect, but its figurative....

painful groans

scars of violence

stigma throughout life

blind justice

humiliation

note: this a screaming clamor for justice to my fellow Pinoys (both male and female) who are brutally raped and cruelly stripped of their dignity and dreams here in Saudi Arabia.

Tragedy of Intelligent Man
Sandy nations of Arabia
bushes of Tropical Congo
rocky lands of Afghanistan
the dry soils of Somalia
waters of the Mediterranean
bush land of Karamoja*
forestland of Colombia
ragged dress of ozone layer
swampland of South Sudan
homeland of Aborigines
All dance to rhythm of same music
tragedy of intelligent man!

*Karamoja is the remotest
part of Uganda where the people called
Karamojong depend on cattle and nature!
Many die of hunger in a nation of plenty!...

The Visitor.
Heartened by perfumes of Arabia
Alhaji salaams,
on the scented grassland of Naira notes.

Ivory-toothed, his illiterate wives
fart noxiously,
to and fro the market,
in leather-cushioned Honda series;

where depair and desolation
sadden
all the greens of the Niger-Delta.
Life is but a walking shadow,
where the milk streams.

How folly of the Nigeria in all of us!
Of you and i that `siddon look',
How much breathe lived in each look?
How much time is come and gone?...
