Choose Wisely

I learned when camping in the damn bush,
a dead motor is worse than an ambush.
If your battery goes flat
it should remind you that,
to never buy a car you can't push.

Deposition

A downy clay near
fingertips. I ascend light
to meet darkness.

An ambush memory.
Remember your name ?
No, I don’t know me.

Gambler raises
the stakes to win his dirt
from golden nails.

Premium Member Becoming

The purplish crimson sun's now arising,
And buds are waiting on yellow rosebush.
Yesterday lessons for today are guiding,
As birds take violet skies of dawn hush.
The youth grew so quickly, time's ambush!

Don'T

Don't SHUSH me,
      Don"t PUSH me,
Don't and RUSH me,

to the point, that I feel you are going to AMBUSH me.
And then turn around; and drop me in the BUSH.
For if try to do that, I will CRUSH you, until there's no more of you.

Life's Angles

Absurdity undisputedly does ambush our quest for jollity
But so,too,do glamour and the euphoria that attend our world
Clashes with a world that spurns to surrender meaning
Dating the perverse option may curtail, yet
Every cloud has a silver lining.

Scream

i dont believe you
when you're happy.
when you're nice i
suspect evil
plotting desires
of ambush;
havoc; destruction.
i am untouchable
camouflaged against
the night. it's hard
to distinguish my
fright from my pleasure,
i scream for both.

Life's Angles

Absurdity undisputedly does ambush our quest for jollity
But so,too,do glamour and the euphoria that attend our world
Clashes with a world that spurns to surrender meaning
Dating the perverse option may curtail unfolding, yet
Every cloud has a silver lining.

Cat Chase

Work done,
tired ton,

Drive home,
street zone,

Cat chase,
rat race,

Pull up,
hit bump,

Dead cat?
No rat,

Cat gone,
not long,

Cat hides,
on side,

Cat waits,
for bait,

Pass bush,
ambush!

Thump, thump,
heart pumps!

Ambit

Encircled,
words shed gratuitously
from floored jaw.

Enriching,
ambit of deceits shroud,
wrapping your smile
in compliments halos.

Vixen verbs
slyly ambush objections.
A tactic of precision,
to melt your innocent mask

and conquest;

A smile upon my lips.

Surrendering Is To Win

The tiger ambush is to flow not of fear,
surrendering is a strategy it’s better than getting defeated and morally falling down for ever by surrendering you are making to surprise your counterpart and consuming time to draw a plan to win him by keeping the ball in his own courts.

Treachery

Daffodils hang their golden heads
Beneath the ice and snow.
The cruel hand of Winter
Has dealt a bitter blow.

Disguised in rays of springtime,
She roused them from their bed,
Then struck from secret ambush,
And left them limp and dead.

What is it about 'change' that heightens the senses
that pumps adrenaline through our veins
as our eyes bulge and our muscles tense... For
there is neither tiger nor snake lurking in ambush
Just a red-eye flight to the coast in a steady rain
~ windows splattered with our tears

Premium Member Hidden Away

There's a piece of my life
  I hide away
    from the light of day

keep under wraps
  to prevent relapse
    yet it lies right there

naked and bare
  should I dare
    glance or glare

so, that piece of my life
  still hidden away
    in ambush to scare

me if I dare --

Ancient Constrictor

Gleaming, constricting-
   Swallowing Ancient worship
      Anaconda creeps.

* Anacondas were once, and perhaps still are, revered and worshiped as
A God figure to Amazonian tribal natives. Anacondas are also one of the
few animals who actively seek, and ambush, human prey.

Premium Member Along Came a Spider Contest

A tree spider sat waiting
in the hollow of a trunk
in ambush for her prey
by stealth she would eat

no web just camouflage
patiently she waits
along came a lizard
she pounces on it

Darting with her sting
which starts dissolving
the flesh of her prey
she happily sups

Don't waste my time

The ambush came in back to back
The train that came was right on track
To me, this feels like blasphemy
I won't stay how they wanted me

When I die
Will I leave by their design?
I'm not sure if I'd
wanna know
so
Tell me a lie

To me, this feels like blasphemy
That I can't breathe at all
It's just a waste of time

AMBUSH

Hidden predator,
Waits patiently for it's prey.
Survival to the swift.

Premium Member He waits in Ambush

   My soul eternal
     wrestles the devil infernal

  he waits in ambush
     perpetually, for me

  to forget, and disconnect
     from God Almighty

then rushes in to ruin and wreck
extinguishes in a sec, the Light

God gave me to spread throughout the world
leaving my conscience submerged, deeply disturbed...

Tears At the Orphanage

there's a lot like us
mom's died and left us homeless
not putting our trust in anything
especially the government

owning nothing to our names
we can only afford dreams
at least they calm the pain of this hustle

we hope to see Jesus in the streets
when the boys in khaki suits ambush us
take us to central station and label us vagabonds.

Stoking a Flame

In raw blackness
you want to find fireflies
in the hedges.

Green on green
I ambush the chill
of a dying moon.

Silently you meditate,
as the fog descends
settling discreetly-

on your thoughts.
A cat jumps the wall
in pursuit of a game.

Why to recall the father’s
death. In autumn night
I will break the vow.
