He waits in Ambush

   My soul eternal
     wrestles the devil infernal

  he waits in ambush
     perpetually, for me

  to forget, and disconnect
     from God Almighty

then rushes in to ruin and wreck
extinguishes in a sec, the Light

God gave me to spread throughout the world
leaving my conscience submerged, deeply disturbed...

I pray he doesn’t have his way with you but almighty God snatches you from his grip. God is stronger for He is God.

Yet first, we wrestle. I must do my bit too. As my elders used to tell me, "God helps those who help themselves." Cheers, gw

I like this poem of wariness. The devil stands behind everyone- waiting.

You know it's true. I can hear the devil breathing hard behind me.

When I feel the devil prying in my life I meditate and turn to Christ! I like this one as we all struggle if we are honest and aware. Great write Gershon!

Thanks for the heads-up, Karen. I could use a little 'step-back-and-meditate' approach these days.
