I walked a quiet road at dusk,
Where frost lay silver on the grass,
And in the stillness, words I sought
Some startled birds would rise and pass.

They brushed my cheek, they touched my hair,
Then vanished into fading blue;
I thought of you, old friend of snow,
Who spoke to silence, stern and true.

Hawaii is the place, raccoon decided, loving the idea of course
He sold his farm, plow, tractor, combine, goats, pigs and horse
Ran to Hawaii to sit on a pink beach and enjoy the sand
He said to his mixed drink, I have found the promised land!

The Teacher Sets the Tone

   The teacher sets the tone in his classroom for the day
      Be pleasant and be friendly, students want to stay

   Walk in scowling with a frown upon your face
      Good luck, teacher ~ as students turn away

Silence sets soul free

Upon this earth realm we have opted to dwell,
encased in a decaying form doomed to die
but myriad desires cast on us a spell,
making us believe as true, what is a lie,
being the sole reason why our heart does sigh,
although within this lucid dream, we are free,
if we but unshackle heart from our mind tree.

witch's cauldron sets the mood

witch’s cauldron had bit of a hiccup today
ghosts and goblins laughed about it a bit
Halloween humor lives beyond the fray

Dracula’s ghost appeared with a happy hey
some of the warlocks and wizards had a fit
