Sapphired Poems

Premium MemberOur Winter Gazebo

Behold with joy, our flickering sky. together tonight!

See the colorful, myriad, dark islands of stars!

Always holding sapphired, colored tomorrows of joyous mores.

But I, forever lost in the light rays of your own starry eyes.

Your face, such equanimity and angelic grace!

Let's stay like this, forever in frigid cold, till we become very old.

We, were enjoying the frigid winds, here, in our winter gazebo.

Shhh…let us slip into Aphrodite's darkness.

Truly, that is where our loving, eternal heart is.

In our beloved's sacred, eternal soul.

All That I need

Sunsets of ruby and emerald seas
Sapphired moonlight that beckons with ease
Jewels that require no wallet of greed
Wealth is the mindset of all that I need

Turquoise reminders of nature’s parade
Mornings to cool us in amethyst shade
Hues of the richness of all that is free
Open my eyes to see what’s there for me

Roses that guide us to gardens of white
Bees that provide us with honey’s delight
Songbirds that carry the afternoon breeze
So many favors that carry no fees

Fire of opal to warm hearts of stone
Pearls of the wisdom for all that we’ve known
Sunshine of diamonds to light summer sky
When will they notice, these fools such as I

Flames and Frames

And here I am this lonely, moonless night
All by myself in golden candlelight
The room is still, as I begin to think
My thoughts alone would have me take a drink

But then, I see across the low-lit room
Just what I need to lift me from this gloom
A table stands, three tiers to make a shelf
For picture frames, my family, myself

Each one I see, a simple work of art
By love displayed, each one to touch my heart
For Grandma’s smile, a frame of gilded glow
To warm my purpose more than you could know

A setting formed of jewels, sapphired delight
Surrounds my sweetest mother, dressed in white
My turn on Santa’s knee when I was three
Is mounted red and green, now just for me

My brother’s love, a birthday cake in view
The mem’ries call me, just to name a few
So as my candle flickers its demise
The tears of love and joy now fill my eyes

For could I ever really be alone
Oh, not with all the love that I’ve been shown
I think now as I start to say goodnight
I’ll sleep well with such reverie in sight

The Eyes Have It

Looking deep into the eyes of you…
		  	Those sapphired jewels,
			Floating pools
			Of the window where
			What can be seen there:
Your eyes. Your eyes. Your eyes.

No question: yes, they are reflections
And really are windows; they mirror.
You see, today, I see much clearer
What, before, I would not see:
			Truth’s harsh, here-to-stay reality:
Your lies. Your lies. Your lies.

Facing you, I open a door in me
			And am warned to close the core of me;
My heart and mind advise my spirit
To never again let you near it.
Looking deep into the soul of you and me:

			Good-byes. Good-byes. Good-byes.

Who Will Help the Angels Cry?

Beneath a bright-sapphired-sky
I crush and cry

Not cuddling to my unreason
Away I've swept my bean and sigh
That Death must see no greater season...

I cry- Today,
just for a dying-butterfly!
