Being outside isn’t that hard. 
Until the lawn mower revs up.

I spied long cat claw marks on the jungle tree
a spotted leopard or a plain puma in ebony?

I would like to write a poem,
but my muse has run away 
with the four brothers. 

She is singing with them now
in a greasy all-night diner

Carol’s naps are plenty with a puppy on her hip.
