SYSTEMIC ROMANCE

Where is room for sublime
in Trump-Modi era
if we talk about
grief, trauma, social justice

liberation, health, job
happiness in a culture
of divide and rule through
rightward extremism?

comics of history
in lanes and bylanes
search lingams for new world
threat murals of mutiny

recreating new forms
unearthly light and space
in old tales sacred for
visions of heritage

I don’t share their tangerine
nor stream in their landscape
even if I’m consumed
in blankness of fire or flood

Premium Member they tried to follow every rule

Blue eyed twins went to school
Tried to follow every rule
their mother ran away that day
Even though they were good, she could not stay

The lesson for them lasted forever
You can be kind, smart, excited and clever
But if your mother wants to run away
You cannot make her stay even one more day

Premium Member only one rule

I had one university sociology class at eight a.m.
no one knew it, I forgot it myself back in ’73.
the rule from the flexible professor “call me Jim”
we only had to show up for tests; this worked for me.

Fall of cool Bazball no fool will still rule

Bazball fall.. still so livid

Nightmare is so so vivid

Like the day of the Triffid

In OZ were just so timid

On the ropes so so vapid

Dopes burnt hopes acrid

Defeat tropes so so rapid

Prime time to be candid

Cool fools just so flaccid

No bans ECB plans placid

Our also-rans.. so insipid

Pans Fans who are so avid

Fancy Dans woe so rancid

Badgers crow so so rabid

Cruel fossil fuel fool rule

Time the lies were finally binned

Greedier needier leaders grinned

Pacts who the facts have spinned

Scorched earth torched & skinned

Fossil fuel fools acts have sinned

Renewable is doable hopes pinned

As some resources haven’t thinned

We will always have sunshine & wind

Premium Member Man under the rule of thumb

I say a word, you speak a sentence
between us we write a paragraph,
many pages of life have done distance,
bookmarked by cheques with my autograph.

I take you when where you want to go,
work my way around your many deeds,
my wish in life you never shall know,
for I fill my life with all your needs.

am pleased to see the smile on your face,
sparkling white between two bright red lips,
my life is shaped by your daily grace,
are you the one that launched thousand ships?

friends think am under my woman’s thumb,
weak fellow who has no voice to raise,
I say to them you are all so dumb,
for peace and joy I have my own ways!

Rule Refresh

Did Hannah see bees? Hannah did
Heard they disappeared with the birds off grid
Won't lovers revolt now?
No rules and no know-how
Kama Sutra all round, heaven forbid!

Israel rule America,

I entered the Capitol.
I saw men who rule
without sitting on thrones.

Their hands were empty,
yet their commands were full.

America acts,
but does not decide.
Orders travel
faster than conscience.

I looked into the eyes
of the Prince.
I saw not a man,
but an echo.

He spoke,
yet another voice
moved his tongue.

Alliances became chains.
Protection became obedience.
The state served
what it did not govern.

Europe followed,
heads bowed politely.
Payrolls replace principles.
Silence replaces courage.

An empire rarely conquers
with soldiers.
It conquers with debts,
favors,
and fear.

The people sleep,
trusting masks.
When they wake,
the state is hollow.

Machiavelli warned:
power survives
only while it appears legitimate.
When trust dies,
even gold cannot rule.

If the hidden crown
wishes to endure,
it must choose harmony
over domination.

For no power survives
once it is seen.

Premium Member A Strange Phenomenon - Revised to fit rule

A tickling in the nose that likes to tease
is the strange phenomenon - the sneeze,
but sneezes in succession cause unease,
especially accompanying a wheeze.
Think of an ACHOO while on a trapeze,
reaching for two arms - hanging by your knees!

A sneeze has force of 80 miles an hour. Geez!
What viruses escape into the breeze?
So if one day a winter's cold should seize
possession of the chest 'neath your chemise -
when I visit, keep a hanky handy, please.
At least "God bless you" beats cutting the cheese!

Rouge ball of fire sun sets in my eyes
United in eclipse, melodic moon, onyx sky
Life’s only rule don’t let it fly by wasted

Premium Member Can AI Machines Become Conscious?

If we start from the beginning, then I guess people and animals are conscious. My last dog was a people in a fur coat. She was smarter than most people. I just had a friend write a poem, then he gave it to AI to write. Everyone thought the AI poem was his poem. Did that mean AI had  become conscious since it did a better job writing? Machines have taken over our world. AI is the newest kid on the block. The sun dial or rooster was our morning clock but no more. Once we walked or took a horse to work now the new shiny car does that job. Cars can even drive and park for us. Does that mean cars now have become conscious? Machines have a way of taking over our lives. Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worst.

conscious world maybe
machines or people will rule
AI takeover

Where Memories Rule

Our childhood homes gone and all their effects,
brand-new highway fills that space.
School replaced by a government complex.
But… the graveyard remains in place,
our playground on the way to school.
Log cabin monument, way cool -
staunch marker where memories rule.

Premium Member Rule Brittania,'

Here i find a mirror to our current reality.?
For slavery was the engine..And power was the play..You either took others captive.' Or your tribe would have to pay.'
It was an international understanding..For
Decades we thought had been sent away.? Yet i see it all around this globe
In twenty twenty five (now today.!)

Premium Member THE POWER OF KINDNESS - MYSTIC

We find ourselves living in a crazy world,
where people walk the streets reading their phones.
Where life goes on for them and not for others,
where me and myself now rule.
Do you know the power of kindness?
Have you tried it?
Thinking of others before self,
is a win-win for all.
You can make a life happy not sad,
try giving out free smiles or a helping hand.
In return you can make yourself happy,
as your heart wears a big smile.
The power of kindness is free,
this old world is in need.
