the inside of a wine glass

to myself who wasn’t there

September

September is in the air                                                     
Everywhere                                                                                      
Pumpkins and their silly faces                                                                                                                            Three are in my little red wagon and we are off to the races                                      
Everyone will want my homemade pumpkin pies 
Memories of September will take the prize                                                                                                                   Brown furry squirrels hide their nuts all around                                                                          
Even in the trees by the pound                                                                                               
Red~yellow~orange carpet of leaves cover the fall ground

you are spirited being still at this age
but not in loneliness
poems are your bosom friends

paths of ink make a long way
you are walking there
on the great wings of wisdom

here I'm elated
I'm living in your blessings words
dreaming a life in long lively stream
on this bank of life and on that bank
as the birds, as the leaves of grass,
as the music of Beethoven,
as the palette of Vinci, 
as the art of Disney  

your matured hand,
natural insight,
materialistic pen,

persuade me lively

L-eaf clings

D-espite worry, 
E-arnestly keeping the link with the tree.

J-ust over the deepest sea
A-nother victory will stand; 
N-ever ever losing hope
I-n taking the prize at hand.
C-rown of glory is in store for those who'll win the fight; 
E-ven in the midst of ocean everything will be alright.

A-fter the deep and dark
M-oments of uncertainty; 
A-nother ray of chance
N-eeds to show reality.
T-he sweetest success
I-s when the hill is climbed; 
L-et us all reach the top, 
L-et us all be
O-n time.

M-aking it through the rain
I-s easier said than done; 
N-ovember first early morn
G-od is with us when sin is gone.
U-nless we don't sail smoothly
I-n our voyage to eternity; 
T-riumph will finally stand
O-ver the deepest sea.

One Shot At Glory

J-ust one shot at glory, 
E-arly morn twelfth of May; 
N-o way will you ever let the rare chance slip away. 

T-his is one shot at glory, 
I-n spite of the opposition; 
B-ecause of your true faith, 
U-se your determination. 
R-emain eager to receive, 
C-rown of life in the holy city; 
I-t's a must-win situation, 
O-ne shot at glory.

Crown Jewel

C-rown jewel is a treasure, 
H-onor, pride, and glory; 
E-arly Friday January twelfth, 
L-ovely heart is full of glee.

L-et the crown jewel bring
E-cstasy to every mind; 
O-utstanding deed is done, 
S-ome errors are left behind.
A-ttractive and most valuable, 
L-ife is lived so well; 
A-im to be widely known as a shining crown jewel.

Just Keep Your Head High

J-ust keep your head high, 
O-ver and above the water; 
N-ever quit but hang on, 
A-nd don't ever surrender. 
L-ose not your conviction, 
Y-our hope and energy; 
N-either eye will look sad, you'll emerge in victory.

D-rown not in running tears, 
E-ven in the river of agony; 
L-ook at the sky and think 
O-f rising from the 
S-ea. 

S-o keep your head high, 
A-nd take a deep breath; 
N-ot for a moment will you sink, 
T-rying to regain your strength. 
O-ctober thirteenth morn, tell the truth without a lie; 
S-eek salvation from God, just keep your head high.

World Cruise

Wedding dreams make lifelong memories 
Openhearted promises and fantasies     
Romantic whispers and warm caresses
Lighthearted banter in gala dresses 
Decadent ambience and chandeliers

Crown jewels with beguiling sheers
Regal ceremony with witnesses 
Unfamiliar princes and baronesses
Immortalizing this blessed day of June 
Shivering with joy under the sublime moon 
Everyone needs a world cruise for their honeymoon
