WELSH RAREBIT

Welsh Rarebit (cheese on toast if you prefer)
Easy to prepare, so no time wasted.
Lighted candles make it seem romantic.
Sure you’ll love it darling, once you’ve tried it.
Hard times these, so beggars can’t be choosers.

Render a little butter in the pan,
Add some Cheddar cheese and mustard to it.
Reminds me of my happy childhood days
Every time I have the urge to do it.
Brown bread toasted (bit healthier that white)
It’s time to serve it up by candlelight.
There, I said romance would blossom tonight!

Congrats on your winning work in Andrea's contest. A great choice of menu. I would like the melted cheese on toast. Way to go. Sara K

hmmm, as I read it again, I appreciate even more how you did this. Sadly, I really hate food like rabbit. Probably I'd given you first place if you chose a different food. Anyway, Congrats for your nicely written entry.

Thank you Andrea. I don't like rabbit either, but cheese is all right!!
