Baked Apple Pie

Brown crust shimmering in golden light.
Aromas swirling, warm and inviting.
Kissed with cinnamon, sweet delight.
Each slice a comfort, joy igniting.
Delicate apples nestled inside.
Alluring flavors, tempting my taste.
Perfectly baked, dreams cannot hide.
Pastry and fruit—nothing goes to waste.
Layers of sweetness, crisp and divine.
Each bite a memory, pure and true.
Piping hot, served with ice cream, shine.
Indulge in tradition, share anew.
Each slice, mine to forever pursue.

Andrea Dietrich May 3, 2026 at 2:38 PM Just now seeing your response to me. When you go to that place that lets you see poems entered in contests, do you actually see that this got entered. I went back to the original 35 entries and yours just wasn't in the list. I know this happened to me a few times in contests. Just now explanation. I believe I actually had 33 out of 35 winners. I know the NAs one had used AI , not you. Another gave me an old poem. So sorry. This just makes no sense Ken Allan Dronsfield May 4, 2026 at 10:12 AM Yes, it really made me ill to know it wasn't entered. I'm positive I clicked the right boxes to make sure it would be in your contest. As I stated previously, I worked some long hours putting it together....so 'frowns' but, it's still a good poem, so it will sit....for now. Hope you're having a great day. Be well!

I was looking for a poem of yours to comment to and noticed it here. i seem to remember seeing it a while back and i figured you had entered it. Let me know if you just forgot to enter because if that's not the case, that means there was a glitch in my contest.
