Dear Barbara.
Before Fed Ex or UPS delivered rapidly,
There was USPS with Special Delivery.
Before them all, God delivered freely.
There are two treasured gifts most heavenly.
God blessed me with a wife and a family.
There's no one else with whom I'd rather be
Than the one that God clearly gave to me.
All that came before you
Lit a flame that quickly vanished from view.
For 54 years, there's been 'Just Us'.
It will be this way until one of us bites the dust.
Steeped deep within my memory,
I'll always remember the start of our story.
In a college town,
In a church pew,
You turned both my head and heart around.
From that moment on, everything became new.
In very short order,
I knew you were a gift from my heavenly Father.
Like a budding rose
Shedding it’s petals
Our love will continue to grow
Like a seed sowed in the earth
It will continue to give birth
To new foundations and beginnings
Through the harshness of winter
Through the season’s rain
We will endure the elements
Until the spring blooms again
Flourished by the sweet kiss
Of nature’s bliss
Our love will mature
For like a rose that has drunk too much water
Or has never seen the sun’s glow
It shall wither away and die
Nourished by equal amounts of care and understanding
Our love will continue to grow
You are the viola,
And I am your bow,
You are the mountains,
And I am your snow.
I am the song-sheet,
And you are my tune,
I am the night sky,
And you are my moon.
You are my true love,
The love of my life,
My best friend, my lover,
My soul mate, my wife.
Today I'm in the garden
to remove hordes, of an unwanted plant
In the northern tropic wet season
its growth becomes rampant
WON'T use toxic herbicides to pollute our mother earth
don't call them weeds, they are part of God's creation
Most times I'm there, it's a state of meditation
but today the mind is full of, vivid imagination
My dear wife, she is the love of my life ,eighteen years my junior
these are the thoughts I visualise
That I'll still be in my garden
when for her, the century does arise
Sheila had a flippancy that made sauciness look the norm.
Her impish ways and playfulness took Jim away by storm.
Her moxie and ***** showed him the meaning of true grit.
She truly got her backbone when he tried to end it after a bit.
I warned you said his mother; his father gave a laugh.
He understood his son, he had taken a similar path.
His wife was moxie personified;, she always got her way.
He married her, because it was easier, that’s all he had to say.
I placed a rose on the seat of your chair
In your lap if you had been there
The warm winds soothe my tired face,
Softly as your hand’s warm embrace
My eyes close in thoughts of you
How we’d sit before the ocean’s view
In paired prayer for the day to never end
In paired prayer, thankful for such a friend
Then the day came prayer couldn't prevent
All good things end. Even angels heaven sent-
Need return to foster light in another’s dark life
I’m thankful for everyday an angel was my wife
You and I together realize just why
We have to give love a much better try.
We shall never let this love of ours die,
Unlike them who always made me cry.
You and I will sooner or later realize
I can become a pianist, like my grandmother.
You are the guitarist, like my grandfather,
One day we'll make music people idealize.
You and I will eventually share a home.
You'll cook for me, like my other grandfather.
I am your wife, like my other grandmother.
I'll clean and I'll even go wherever you roam.
You and I were always meant to meet.
Your heart is safe in my hands and with me.
You don't got to question what I clearly see.
Life is not something for you alone to defeat.
I will love you until you can feel, hear
And fully comprehend my intentions.
It's not puppy love. It's about dedications.
I love you with an incredible passion, dear.
I'm serious and dedicated to our relationship.
I'll stop loving you until the rooster stops singing.
Is this clear? I will never quit loving you, darling.
Hence, you shall remain the captain of my ship.
The roo, the cock will never stop singing coco-rico,
Therefore, I will never stop loving you dear coucou.
Love must always be a two-way street with a rainbow
Where each angel plays a lute, a flute or a bamboo.

I love you more today.
And I'll love you better than,
What lived and was acquired yesterday?
But still, I'll love you even more tomorrow,
With the richness of incomparable love!
I accept your love today.
I carried your love more than,
The day before the present day.
And yet, you still attain your love for me,
In fulfillment, no other can do.
My soul is yours,
And your spirit be it mine.
Were we meant together for this fortune?
A perpetual life together,
Melding and weaving as one.
I love you more, Shannon! R.I.P.
In the unfairness that ever is life, since
Cinderella will never be wife, to 'her prince'
She settles for average, ordinary shmoes
Ditch the glass slippers ~ flip-flops, gnarly toes
Gold is lovely when it glitters
Silver is beautiful when it shines
But neither can compare to the wonder
Of when you call me mine
My sweetie, oh how I need you.
On my mind you ever linger.
Believe me. My love is so true.
One ring should be on my finger!
This ring would bring me such delight.
My sweetie, oh how I need you.
Come to me soon – this very night.
Come or I will feel very blue.
You know my desires; yes you do!
Come quickly, love, to my side.
My sweetie, oh how I need you.
You deserve some wonderful bride!
Don’t you desire me for your wife?
I do believe you need me too.
Honey, you need me in your life.
My sweetie, oh how I need you.
Amidst the dense forest
he found rays of light
for the high-wire act
he enacted each night
From the arms of one branch
he leaped, to land in another
Embracing love's chances
in risque romances ...
With dawn, a tiny voice stirred
deep down within him
'It's time to go home
no more this night roam'
Yet the thrill of the high-wire
enticed him to stay
Just one more branch
and he'd call night a day
So he leaped one more time
but missing the arms
Crashed into a trunk
that raised an alarm ...
... in the pale light of dawn
that hung o'er the woods
before his eyes his true wife
~ forsaken, she stood
You're this loving aura:
Your beauty, so vibrant
All your senses are on, —high
But you wanted to bust down and cry
PS: —I love you.
I ache, you say; in this tender voice
I say; let me ache for your pain
Let me; bare your pain and free yourself
PS: —I'll hold you.
I wanted: To take your pain
Like residues in my palm
And smear it on my heart
So that you can be free of this pain
PS: —I love you.
I desired to become all of your pain:
Thus
I wanted to make your love mine
But instead
You slipped away on through; I'll miss you
PS: —I'll hold you in my arms.
That in itself is a pleasure:
Knowing
It's worth bearing this pain for you
Baby—PS: —I love you.
R.I.P. Shannon, I sure do miss you,
Incredibly so.

A young English major from Wisconsin
In passionate romance was ensconced in
She fell hard for a poet
Alas, he did not know it
Said: ‘You look just like Lady Bird Johnson!’*

Bird,' she was the wife of President Lyndon
