Premium Member Expensive Restaurants

Where waiters are treated like slaves and customers like gods
Where the wishes of the customers are fulfilled with a head nod
People look to gain respect from the price of their plates
Hungry customers that complain and too impatient to wait
Some order expensive dishes to impress and that's the norm
It becomes expensive celebrating the day they were born
It gets complicated with taste buds having a split decision
And the deceptive prices on the menu go unmentioned
Many work hard and eat fancy as a personal treat
Where the single hang out hoping for someone to meet
You would hear nasty gossip or a married couple having issues
Or statements made about a thankless customer who was rude
It's amazing how much people would pay for good service
But returning an order to the cook makes me nervous
Saying the customer is always right is a terrible view
Have you ever wondered what your waiter thought of you

Premium Member Montreal is calling

Montreal is my favourite city ~ a mix of old and new.
I love its architecture which graces it with style and unique character.

It's got more than its share of cathedrals, pubs and restaurants.
It boasts a vibrant mingling of local and exotic culture.
Well known to be the hub of exquisite cuisine and fine dining.

Montreal gathers artists into a most vivacious symbiotic community.
Best of all ~ summertime offers its kaleidoscope of musical festivals.

So make a point of visiting this city that is big on charm !
Let Montreal lure you, captivate you and seduce you ~

Premium Member I Will Ring All the Bells On Your Birthday

I will ring all the bells
For your anniversary
I will take out of my pockets
Fancy and pretty exotic jewelries.

I will accompany myself with my guitar
To charm, serenade and entertain you
Oh! Yes, I'll light up all the lighthouses
To greet you as the queen of the valley.

Oh! It's your birthday, the sky will be starry
Tonight you'll strut your stuff in your colorful dress
At the restaurant, you and I will sip fine good wines.

Oh! Dear friend, it's your birthday, it’s your party
A thousand bouquets of lilies will be in our presence
Oh! Beautiful friend, for you, I will invoke all the saints.

Premium Member Why Chinese Restaurants Are Always Open On Xmas

Santa's thrashing around in acute pain
No gifts due to bottlenecked supply chain
     What was Santa to do
     To achieve a breakthrough
He'd snap up packets of Chinese Chow Mein

A Cry From a Server

A Cry From a Server

We stand on our feet for 12 hours for you.
We provide you with delicious sustenance.
We support your industry and innovation at the cost of our physical health.
We rescue you from drug overdoses and alcohol abuse when locked up in the bathroom.
We put out fires when you have lit them.
We keep the floors clean and dry for you when the rain comes sweeping down.
We unclog toilets when you decide not to flush.
We accept abuse from those above us.
We are forced to be silent of your daily sexual harassment to us.
We sacrifice our happiness for you.
We spend more time on our knees praying than hugging our children.
We are uncertified therapists.
We are lost opportune artists.
We are filled with skills, abilities, and dreams.
With all that we do,
All that we serve,
You still don’t find us worthy of a living wage.
What more can we do?
What amount of pleas would be sufficient?
For you to think we’re good enough.
We are restaurant workers.

Small Restaurants

So many small restaurants
are becoming bankrupt
so many people will lose their jobs
Covid Nineteen is devastating

Small business
we still have the buildings
we still have the staff
all we need is the money to start

once the virus has gone
people investing together
could restart the business
that have shut down

Once people have jobs and wages
they can save to rebuild
what they have lost
Granted it's not fair

When once you owned
the company
but now you work for some one else
but it's better to have a wage

be able to feed your family
pay your mortgage
and rebuild your life
teaching people who workers

to invest just ten dollars a week
could help everybody
climb out of their debt
and back onto the horse of success

a thousand people that want to be Chefs
waiters and restaurant staff
saving ten dollars per week together would have
ten thousand dollars per week

The money to build the restaurants
granted it would take time
but at least it's a way to start
overcoming your problems

Fake Fish

Every where in the world
When you eat fish
In a restaurant

The restaurant owners
Claim it is salmon or tuna
Or other delicious fish

But the sad reality
60 percent of the time
You are eating fake fish

The fish may be fish
Or may not be fish
But if it is indeed fish
It is probably tilapia

Or some other cheap
Bottom feeding scumbag fish
Filled with toxins

And possibly tape worms
And other parasites

And as you eat your delicious fish
You are eating the fake fish

And helping the fish industry
Continue this con game

But there is nothing you can do
Except for catching your own fish
And preparing it yourself

So, when you eat fish
Pretend if you must

That you eating salmon or tuna
While you eat your tilapia
And pay the salmon/tuna premium price

Name Calling In Restaurants

Name Calling in Restaurants

By Elton Camp

Writing a nickname on a customer check
Is a way good customer relations to wreck

“Ching and Chang” is what one café wrote
The Asian patrons came to see that note

“Fat Girls,” the server dared to type in
That’s when customer outrage did begin

However, what if it was the other way around
A nickname for the server on the check found

So working from experience, this poem will try
To suggest names that accurately could apply

The server’s hair it easily might curl
If designated as “Dirty Uniform Girl”

Another waitress name that dignity assails
Is to write, “Woman With Dirty Nails”

This truthful name she also should fear
“The flirty ***** who calls me dear”

The server also would protest the mean rat
Who names her, “Are you working on that”

The waiter, who to say it, is enough unwise
Well might not like the alias, “You guys”

And most any server is going to flip
Seeing the nickname, “Deserves no tip”
