Seijaku – 8-1-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seijaku
Serenity abides with tranquility
Abiding in beauty
And deep respirations of satisfaction
Ready
Alert
Overlooking tangled mazes of overlapping obligations
Labyrinths of lists -
And atonal demands.
As the sun streaks past engorged calendars
In whirly-gigs of heavy-handed chaos
The shade of tranquility
Stretches out
Looming across the face of serendipity
With the breath of the rose
The whisper of sapphire jewels
Born from oceanic bowers.
In the shadows waits
The gift of each rubric solved
Pushing aside the tyranny of over committed -
In dawns, and Aurora’s ballet in neon slippers,
The spirit dialates,
As moonlight drips from feathery boughs,
Healed from epidemics of minutes
Swallowed by a never resting pendulum.
The poet arises, even blooms,
Ignoring the cataracts of frail dreams
When hurried footsteps and clouded hearts
Still race infected by chaotic delirium
Tripping over beauty’s outstretched boughs
To see – to notice -
To embrace
Lavender, gently waiting, with amazement.
Bilocation – 2-11-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bilocation
Love
Slips through labyrinths of tangled spirits
Complexities and conundrums of misdirection
Released by prophecy,
Like clairvoyant fingers of misty sunshine
in two planes
sharing one minute.
Love reaches beyond boundaries of fluttering flesh -
A bridge point of lyric pointillism
With the rhythmic respirations of one breath
Inhaled,
Exhaled,
In poetic unison.
Love exists
Beyond mortality of bone and sinew,
Not begging for crumbs
At the prophesied banquet
The festival
That rains clear jubilees
On every exuberant heart
Reveling in its ecumenical caress
Wrapping cells, bound in time,
With never aging,
Time released,
Pulsing plasmas.
Love dissolves membranes
In transdermal hands of blessing
Showering polka dots of zest
On the skin of souls
Transfusing showers of tenderness,
Ardor
And affection
Into ever borning present – never past –
Seeds
Planted like ephemeral timeless sunlight
Without minutes
Or astral lines
Love
Leaves permanent footprints
All at once
And
Everywhere.

Synchronized Perfection 1-26-24
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Synchronized Perfection
Breathe in the feathery tickle, whorls of sweet spice in synonyms,
Similes that make you sneeze exhaling fresh lines of images
On swirls of ink gel conceived in the passion of inspired vertigo
While a joyful unbroken strand ignites hypnotic godly fires
And opaque falls from enigma’s vision releasing rhythmic respirations
Into blank lines and cryptic puzzles haunting insight flowing
With the whimsy of grace in one, uninterrupted breath to unravel
Obstacles of articulated lost verses on satin thermals of lyric grace
Gliding across a flat white parchment sea of conundrums opened
Riding in the groove blessed by synchronized perfection.
Anti-Poem – “Respirations In Blue”
the mother cooks food on the old gas range
wearing a blue dress she boils five potatoes
husband fred wears a red sweater smoking
pall mall non-filters that spew and respirate
he stands with beaded ashtray and blue tie
listening to LA radio the tune-dex the top 50
he wonders if she needs help with the mashing
a white radio atop the fridge respirates softly
sweeping them into the pillow rooms of blue time
the mother alive again though buried in a grave
cooks food for fred again watching jack latham
wondering if kennedy will speak soon on the tv
secretly wishing for ten minutes alone with him
her white pillbox hat sitting sullen on a dresser
husband fred draws in another hit and exhales
allusive winds splatter metal amok
chasing leaves mark time across
cement jungles of error burn ravishing
imprints across eyes of the innocent
seasons beckon sweeping funnels
bitter rage evacuates human hope,
abounding distrust hidden in halls
echoing colorless, delectable death
hallow your hearts, replete lies seek
obstruction rebuilt to the core of
Capitol HIll, o’ to envision devalued
pinnacles of injustice embracing
common change, lives live, victims
victory, synonymous smiles, dear
diaries, echo empathy, fair futures,
galliant goals, resplendent respirations
sweep soiled souls, daily doses
of deep thrombosis depletions
Silent evaporative collection up high
White touches the blue, the spectrums delight
Your presence dictates the mood down below
With oceans and trees respirations you grow
Your gloom makes us weary and your absence brings praise
Working nonstop, both nighttime and day
Pillowy softness at first the pretense
Hollow and void lightning a defense
Surrounding our spaces wherever we go
Sounding off loudly ions explode
Beautiful violence, tranquil and serene
Cumulonimbus electrostatic machines
You are the crimson surge
I am your crimson desire
The bird radiates a crimson urge
Comes about the sapphire
You vivify the respirations
I deeply breathe your mist
Following the crimson inhalations
Comes about the crimson twist
Thank God that I got the life
And enjoy the crimson strife
Reading to him line after line
Word after word
She closely watches him as he sleeps
Pain free and peaceful
Comfortable and prepared
Heart rate fading
Color changing
Temperature cooling
Respirations irregular, apneic, shallow....repeats. Then stops
The man who only talked of God
The man who only believed in One
The man who lived his life by His words
The spirit rises
There is calmness in the room
The heaven's gates open, welcoming him to a celebration
Forever home with his Father
Expiration Fate
Exhale
breath in retreat…
life… denying stasis
of respirations yin and yang -
fulfilled..
The September odoriferous winds
Are not unlike my lover’s perfumed breath.
Their sometimes subtleties, like cherubs wings
Moving warm fragrant air across the earth;
Like unto slumberous respirations
My lover’s exhalations warm my bed.
Yet winds must change, their aberrations,
Those once heated airs turn to rage instead
Whose blustering breaths blow prodigiously
Like our passion’d breaths from pillowed-heads,
Panting, respiring uncontrollably.
December dawns, the wind is lulled unwed
And virgin snow falls onto earthly spread.
Thus, not unlike this maiden in my bed.
The days grow shorter on the spindle
of North winds crispy, frosted breath
and winter patches white o'er brindle
where autumn's bow has left her flesh.
The hours dwindle brushed by twilight's broom
that paints the dark revealing moontide’s dawn
and icy moonshine drips from lunar looms
to drape the earth in robes of pearl chiffon.
As wispy respirations string through air
the year moves steadily through its last quarter.
The white washed atmosphere seems cold and bare
as this year dwindles and the days grow shorter.
Sounding of gun fire absorbed by weeping souls
A Drumbeat roar, admiration bled slowly through the air
Reemergence for all those that bared his memories
The boy grew dreaming of touching the stars
Dancing amongst them all, life was not easy for this boy
Growing without a father cloaked in a mothers desire
Pain left unseen rearranging too means
Caught a flight through the sky’s at eighteen
For a star spangled dream
Little to no thought, of returning
Passing over unfamiliar landscapes
Adrenaline rushed to the brain and heart
The sounds began as daybreak took
Increased respirations easily could be heard across,
and beyond any barrier of sound.
Stinging vessels from months of sweating;
formed a crown, around many heads.
A halo that shadowed;
imprinted upon foreheads, marked amongst the dead.
Wake up!
March on!
Stand together,
Be-strong!
Wake from this dream;
A nightmare!
Dare not to scream.
Wake up!
March on!
Stand together!
Be-strong!
Screams, sounds that echoed from darkened gun- fire- storms
Particles finding trails of sweat; sticking hardening the next breathe
No money for college death would fill the debt
