We couldn’t survive
each to the other
We couldn’t let go
to live
We couldn’t give
without retaking
We couldn’t express
what we felt
We couldn’t stay quiet
when being together
We couldn’t come back
from the past
We couldn’t forgive
what time had rescinded
We couldn’t remember
— to forget

O how have I suffered such great graves!
I have been pierced by the swords of my kings
Injected with the liquid of their corruptions
They have rescinded my harmonious names
They have plucked away my treasures,
With every good of mine
Possessed unto themselves as stern,
And given them to foreign sons.
For self-benefits they have sold me to them,
And these Whitefaces treat me anyhow
Just like I was a cow;
To implore each their gem
In their own fathers’ land.
I, even I Africa, am replaced for a ring in my destroyers’ hand.
I have thought my kings would therefrom free me
But they yet serve them rather than me.
Woe to they that are presidents of poverty!
Wretched are the princes that pervert my people;
Cursed be the prophets that preach tribalism and nepotism;
And wicked are they that set my peoples asunder!

Choose Wisely, rise Above emotions. In the movement and flow of life’s endless tide, don’t let emotions be your guiding light, for in hasty choices, regrets may reside, instead, choose wisely, with a logical sight.
Emotions, a tempestuous sea that can pull, clouding the judgment, blurring the view, but with a rational mind, you can overrule, and make choices that lead to a future anew.
Let not anger or fear be your steering guide, but let wisdom and reason take the helm, in the face of adversity, stand tall and stride, let your choices be planned, not overwhelmed.
For emotions, they dance like flames in the wind,
Flickering, volatile, unpredictable and strong, but a calm mind ensures clarity, rescinded, and propels you to a path that is proven and long.
So, dear wanderer, in life’s intricate game, don’t let emotions dictate your every move, choose wisely, rise above and reclaim the power to shape your destiny and groove.
Embrace rationality, let it be your creed, for with clarity, your choices become ever clear, navigate life’s waters with a calculated speed, and watch your dreams and aspirations draw near.

Lady Godiva wasn't trying to be cute
When she went for that ride in her birthday suit.
It was her husband's taxes she protested,
All butt naked and bare-breasted,
She only did as he'd suggested, so any argument was moot.
The townsfolk of Coventry were warned not to peek,
And no lecherous looks at the lady to seek.
But one sneak did succumb,
Later called "Peeping Tom",
And was struck blind and dumb 'cause his morals were weak.
When Lady G. returned home, she re-braided her tresses,
Re-robed and prepared for her hubby's redresses.
But he didn't rebuke her for going out starkers
Or for publicly displaying bush, bum, and knockers,
And, though truly chagrined, he rescinded his taxation excesses.

You've broken every rule of civility
With the execrable decision you made recently
You withdrew a job offer from a school superintendent
for addressing you as 'Ladies' in an acceptance email
You claim the term constitutes a micro-aggression'
But it's you abominations who have disgraced your profession
The superintendent-to-be meant to compliment you
But you two sows couldn't see that for the cud that you chew
I have much more to say, but come what may ~
You deserve to chew CRUD for the rest of your days

Breathe in, breathe out;
Release the self doubt.
Breathe out, breathe in;
Let your day begin.
Take one step forward,
The path is clear.
Take two steps backwards,
The end is near.
Control your own emotions,
Make your life whole.
Loss of same emotions,
Will give others control.
Share love with many,
As it was intended.
Don't mislead your love,
Or it'll be rescinded.

Coming to the city? Bring your gun
So you can shoot at anyone!
Target practice is such fun;
No laws will you be bending.
All those rules you used to shun
Have been rescinded; they are done!
Lawsuits have been filed and won
To honor those amending.
Bearing arms makes bad guys run;
You’ll protect your wife and son.
Don’t believe what some have spun;
You’ll mostly be defending.
In New York, now everyone
Beneath the moon or in the sun
Can carry through the streets a gun
Since sanity is ending.

Under this brilliant clear blue sky
A smoldering heat has descended,
Humidity so high I think I shall die
Under this brilliant clear blue sky
Electricity is now in short supply,
And, overuse of water is rescinded
Under this brilliant clear blue sky,
A smoldering heat has descended.

In storied old ages,
He lept off the pages.
He lived on the waters;
His story engages.
Though was not intended,
His legacy ended.
He had only daughters;
His name, time rescinded.
No sons were begotten;
His seed, some said, rotten.
He slept with his fathers;
He soon was forgotten.
He lived on the waters.
He had only daughters.
In storied old ages,
He slept with his fathers.

Experimenting with the Rubaiyat (aaba) by taking the 'b' from the first three stanzas to form a fourth stanza, using the first line of the poem for its 'b' line.
Kind of interesting...

Ghostly
I sold my house to a Moldavian family
the drawback was they had two small children
the house came with two ghosts
as everyone knows, only children and poets see ghosts.
The children were not afraid they even played
with my dearly departed dog, it was just doing its
the normal routine at night, securing every room at night;
a thing it used to do before the transition.
The problem started when the children told the parents
they claimed I had not told them and demand the house sale
rescinded.
The dog is not the problem when it realizes its nightly
inspection is not needed hiding objects behind the sofa
is no longer amusing it will fade away.
As for the mule, it is not going anywhere, the house
used to be a barn and the living room a stable.
It has been here 90 years, happily munching hay.
You can even smell it on rainy days odour after
a long day, pulling the plough.
The estate agent told me not to worry about a court case
involving ghosts is a lost cause.
I wouldn´t mind if the dog came to the flat startling rats
coming up from the sewer I have to flush several times?
Before sitting down, and keep the lid firmly closed
with a heavy object on top.

Area veiled by vines surely will lodge us cozy
As I travel through life, thoughts pass across my head.
wedged neatly in the realm of a hanging shanty
It's delightful to see flowers blooming in the wake of a rough cold
dirt soil that will cling to our innately earthy beauty
Emotions are rooted in the mind and in my body spread.
glass windows convey the tone of the story
a beginner's approach to creative writing using spotty words.
hues of the forest oscillating inflow velocity
What do you believe will transpire at the end?
humming coffeepot on fire and is wobbly.
Those who cross the boundary will not be rescinded.

Vicarious knowing yields not wisdom,
for if it did, we all would have ascended.
Pure of heart alone enter Gods kingdom,
upon our ego cravings rescinded:
mind body within heart merged and blended.
By thought discernment we choose alignment,
love entwined, flowing thus in contentment.
Thought rests, shifting baton of awareness
to our glowing heart, forever vibrant,
wherein we stay, suffused with blissfulness.

I became impatient with myself
standing on the precipice of twilight
I know the things the dark visors
and I wish to dominate all sinfully
delicious places within it
I want to be the one to hand feed
dominance and not be the recipient of it
submitting only when the need arises
no longer tethered to my proclivities
while simultaneously indulging in
a world of unknowns
eyes narrow to a point conforming to the greying
aggression as it spills out into the merciless night
nature shames when there is no clear direction
allowing your mastery of control to penetrate me
maybe I thought I needed a stern and steady hand
but only on the parts you could physically touch
and unlike my body, my mind is the one place
you sir, have no possession over
when the light absorbs the waning dark of night
that is when I grab my emotion by the horns
and push him to kneel before me
the illusion of my submission, sir ~ rescinded

A shattered heart; tears spilling like rain
No one would ignite the flames of my desire
To this, I swore an oath to never love again
until the kiss of a friend, kindled in me a fire
His touch was not expected, but felt so right
He quoted poems of Byron and then his own
Poetry 'neath the stars, I fell in love that night
I gave myself eagerly; my heart did condone
We walked along the shore, clasping our hands
He pulled me close, then we began to explore
A time of awakening was not among my plans
I quivered in his arms, wanting so much more
My oath was then rescinded, but I'm not at fault
I'll blame it on the moon, the glimmer of stars,
and passionate kisses that unlocked the vault
to rid my wounded heart of its jagged scars
