Off to see the Super Bowl in Vegas, fullfilling a lifetime dream
People from all over the world gather to engage in the excitement , and to chher there favourite team
Vegas with its reputation for being such a vibrant and fun loving place to go
A trip to the casino a place where you hope to see your money grow
With first class entertainment to be take in , we will surely make all the rounds
A walk down the strip engages all of our senses , with so much energy to be found
Ticket prices for the game from resale brokers nearing ten thousand , completely insane
However you may get a glimpse of Taylor Swift , and of course Usher at halftime of the game
Prices go up for everything with the Super Bowl in town
With so many people acting up from so much liquor , someone from the circus should be out recruiting some new clowns
As they say some things are priceless , a lifetime memory I am sure
With so much money bet on the big game , a little of that would be nice to secure

Hey you!
Yes you
Can you see our protest banners?
They are inspired by your poor manners
You've created an impression with your couture
You've shamelessly raided religion and culture
Recruiting from scholars and pilgrims
Fanatics who praise you with shouts and screams
Here you are looking all decent and astute
Armed with a jaw dropping loot
Your ear bent to "subjects" as their sire
And for a morsel, following you like a messiah.
Be easy in this republic
The cycles are truly cyclic
You won't be around next season
So in this one, employ some reason
Those who now bow will soon betray
The song, dance and quite now in array
Will find new recipients
As terms are transient.
Be wise and build yourself a good name
I mean a reputation, not hot air fame
And soon history will be kind
To see you as a relic memory could find.

Never in my lifetime have I seen,
In any of the places I have been,
So many who have an infinite supply of steam,
Who to stir the pot are keen.
Day or night they are to be seen,
Discussing the best way to stir the pot clean,
Never asking for a bean,
And recruiting for free those who seem to have enough steam,
To help them stir up interest in a new dream,
Which should be good for cooks everywhere it would seem,
As they awaken those whose stir is more mean.
So, to cooks everywhere who keen,
To find places for their spoons to lean,
And a hook for their aprons that are clean,
They can sell their washing machine for more than a bean,
And the dishwasher as well now that pots are stirred clean,
By those who are only just working up steam,
Enough to score the jackpot of which they dream.

IF I WERE A POET
If you consider me a poet
Then I shall write the words
That will put down roots
And push up into your soul
To flower and blossom there
Where one concedes beauty
Without dispute or challenge
As an icon for modern times
It would be so well deserved
Yet I still struggle with it all
Recruiting rhyme and metre
With a soupcon of metaphor
To mould words into poetry
And win your heart forever

rejuvenating their ideas of bravery
giving them directions

The Chinese dragon was filling up the sky
I stared as he travelled, faster than most clouds
He bumped into a lamb and a frog; they scooted.
Grayer now, he makes a viable storm cloud
I marvel at his swiftness to getting somewhere
His ability to change the dynamics of the sky
He is recruiting other clouds now,
He has turned them into a flying gray circus tent
Within ten minutes, the sky is deepening her darkness.
I search for my umbrella, anticipating the rain we need
Alas, the clouds move to the west, giving another state rain.
I am left with a blue sky, thinking of the Chinese dragon.

The recruiting poster incited little Lee.
He could barely wait to shove out to sea.
His cousin joined too, because joining was free.
The recruiter told them how rich they could be.
Grandma McGee got a long switch off a sycamore tree.
She went after that cagey recruiter who started to flee.
He was terrified of this woman who swung a switch like a he.
But he stopped recruiting young men from the Family McGee.

The young boy didn't understand,
Why the leaves fell from autumn trees.
So one by one he would glue them back,
Recruiting help from swarming bees.
But as the wind would blow,
The leaves would come down again...
So he signed up for some nighttime help;
A small army of possums.
When his mother
Learned what he had done,
She grabbed a ladder,
And joined the fun!

I prance eagerly toward a new destination
Meeting enthusiasm and hope in the form of a stranger
We share our stories, expanding the goodness of a universal soul.
I am refreshed, eager to take on another day
Due to replenishing myself with a fresh, new people
Who enlighten me, revealing positivity and enthusiasm.
I no longer worry about running from those
Who zapped my strength, leaving me in a ditch to die
under a layer of anger, rage, sadness and misfortune
They are busy recruiting eager like-minded pups
As I race toward new opportunities, expecting the best
Choosing to save myself

Rewriting Fear
That sudden unknown, so unrevealing,
it's the tell-tale trademark of the one in question
as it sets off nerves in every-which-way,
plainly creeping aimlessly neath the epidermis.
Shock-waves traipse, recruiting ghostly minions to crawl hither,
steeping the fleshy folds with squirming eels marinade,
forever slithering downward and chilling our brittle bones,
while simultaneously causing us to gnash our pearly whites.
Until we came upon the realization,
that what had truly manifested itself,
was self-induced and that it was so absorbing,
it had overwhelmed the mind in consuming anxiety,
losing dominance of all mental faculties,
proffering it free-will to buildup theoretical obsessions,
and alternate concessions.

Death is beauty only when it’s physical and your –
Soul and spirit goes to heaven
Ugly is beauty causing you to recruiting
Beauty is just a name
For the selfish
And the immune
Beauty is beheld
And I shall not behold
~
Beauty is the newborn winkled baby
Beauty is newfound land you enable
Beauty is Lucifer Satan
For you see he was one of the most…
Beautifulness of all thee angels
~
Beauty is just a name, for the selfish
And unrighteous
To keep down the plain, normal, and quiet
For the selfish as immune
Beauty is beheld and behold
Beauty only beauty when it comes from within then goes out
When you know this then you can shout

I dream of Gamecock victories
On courts and fields and track
I follow the recruiting trail
In hopes of all-time back;
I sit in stands, both cold and warm
To watch Garnet and Black
And even when we fail to win
It’s never for spirit they lack.

I tried,
truly I did
but who do I kid?
I listen to his rhetoric
every line is the same, by heck -
the wall, the caravans,
the southern border's last stand;
the constant ups and downs,
congress not gaining any ground;
Russia gate and transgender views
the disregard of dangerous news;
gun control and school-aged shootings
the protests and dissensions recruiting;
the fake news and falsely spouted facts
the wordplay of in-discretion, lacking tact;
so,
a positive thought?
Trump has created a revolution
slow but eager to gain solutions
on the cusp of modern change
who's to say the weight of all lost or gained.
America is rising, lies despising
people are no longer compromising
truth be open and told
we need to change the politics of old
forge ahead with focus, facts, actions bold
to keep America great to prevent its unfold.
