A republic finds itself in a wobbly state,
Governance shrouded by an opaque regime,
Some strands emerge together into a credible tapestry,
Many weaves yet to emerge from the loom.
Decades of simmering hostility,
Punctuated by spasms of bonhomie,
Sputtering out into recrimination—
These circumscribe our strategic choices.
The populace divided, a schism stark and deep,
Hawks and doves in stark contrast.
Neighbourhood's dangerous gaze, fixed.
A hiccup to thrive without peace.

The beauty of war,
Arms are laid to rest,
Tolerance is imbibed.
The beauty of war,
Peace is appreciated,
It's no longer a second fiddle,
The beauty of war,
Its pangs restrain us,
The losses refrain us.
The beauty of war,
History archives it,
The unborn learn and blend.
The beauty of war,
Recrimination is reconsidered,
Raging hearts are pacified.
The beauty of war,
Togetherness is entrenched,
Its foundation is reinforced.
The beauty of war,
Humanity is esteemed,
Nature is haloed.

After 2 years of recrimination and denunciation, where are the remains of the children buried at the Kamloops Indian Residential School?
Anyone?

“All minds and hearts connected with love and light of universal consciousness, in a flicker free continuum ~ what does life on such a planet look like?”
- Unseeking Seeker
Together as One,
One voice and one song,
One goal they pursue,
This heartedly they do,
A mission to accomplish.
None indulge in recrimination,
Turbulent waters abated,
War is not an option,
None is at loggerheads,
Crime does not lurk around.
Equitable distribution of resources,
All stand on equal footing,
Benevolence is at the helm of affairs,
The strong aid the weak,
The mighty prop the weary.
Fabrics interweaved into one colourful piece,
Cultures integrated and tolerated,
Hands in hands they push against the tide,
The table is set for all,
There’s room for everyone besides.
A world we dream of,
Speculative future we envisage,
Tomorrow’s cities beyond our view,
Their internal architecture, classic and ethereal,
Rays of hope permeate the space.

I love you, she questioned?
The words, an inquisition,
at least in the early years.
Will you care for me?
Will you be faithful?
I love you? Do you love me?
Could I have done better? Could I be happier?
Have I made a mistake?
Have I made a mistake!
I love you?
I love you! She accused,
no gentle touch, no kiss,
no tenderness,
only allegations.
The words said so many times a day,
I love you, unfounded innuendo,
suspicion in her voice,
recrimination in her eyes.
The pain of that beautiful phrase,
I love you!
I love you, she deluded,
trying to convince herself,
to convince me.
Half hearted and trite,
No emotions exuded, only allusion.
I love you, Forever,
indifferent inscription inside of the ring.
Peck on my cheek,
fading, until it’s whispered no more,
I love …..

Where peace and kindness do a waltz.
And your friends as towering pines grow.
Accepting you, respecting you, as you are.
Velvety true, not for a second, false!
Oh, no, my girl as God lives in you.
Friends lift you above false allegations.
These rare angels, having not any love
limitations.
Blessed be their soft souls.
Absent any recriminations.
Just joy and love’s gentle laughter.
Not a whisper of recrimination.

Beauty is something we see
with individual eyes,
deep within our soul,resides
attraction,waiting ,asleep
yet longing to be aroused;
Our need to be recognised,
a desire to recognise,
reciprocate and hold close
subtle scents,inherent and
so universally held;
A certain something unique,
intercourses between eyes,
a novel read by a glance
in seconds,might last a lifetime
indelibly imprints,love;
Only time,can reveal
imperfections of conceit,
when ego retreats and
aborts the frail foetus in
pools of recrimination.

Crescendo Against Heaven
by Michael R. Burch
As curiously formal as the rose,
the imperious Word grows
until its sheds red-gilded leaves:
then heaven grieves
love’s tiny pool of crimson recrimination
against God, its contention
of the price of salvation.
These industrious trees,
endlessly losing and re-losing their leaves,
finally unleashing themselves from earth, lashing
themselves to bits, washing
themselves free
of all but the final ignominy
of death, become
at last: fast planks of our coffins, dumb.
Together now, rude coffins, crosses,
death-cursed but bright vermillion roses,
bodies, stumps, tears, words: conspire
together with a nearby spire
to raise their Accusation Dire ...
to scream, complain, to point out these
and other Dark Anomalies.
God always silent, ever afar,
distant as Bethlehem’s retrograde star,
we point out now, in resignation:
You asked too much of man’s beleaguered nation,
gave too much strength to his Enemy,
as though to prove Your Self greater than He,
at our expense, and so men die
(whose accusations vex the sky)
yet hope, somehow, that You are good ...
just, O greatest of Poets!, misunderstood.

Homes broken, futures stolen
Lives shattered
Children, men and women forsaken
Beauties and cuties battered
Family members scattered
Matrimonial vows broken
Values down watered
Untruths spoken
Wedding and kitchen party celebrations forgotten
Tempers raised, minds crazed
Intransigence and insolence gotten
Sorrows grazed, sanity and sobriety erased
Divorce legal proceedings pursued
Bad blood contemplated
Acrimony and recrimination ensued
In score setting scenes dilated and inflated
Dark thoughts entertained
Anger drawn, thrown and grown upfront
Malice maggots maintained
Ego-tripping agenda pushed to the front alongside affront
Courtship days and sweet nothings uttered-a distant memory
As spouses spar with sharp swords
Weapons of mutual unleashed from the matrimonial armoury
While spouses with daggers drawn scowl like ill tempered toads
Prompting church leaders with mouths agape
To stare in horror at the shambolic charade
Playing out without a sensible route escape
Leaving a rueful responsibility to a disappointed dad.

Rage, raging, goes I into the night
Without fear, without trepidation
Each step my first or my last
Every breath my last or my first
Unclear, confused, lost but
Somehow found again
Near to death but also alive
Fate and its fickle fingers decide
The moon enlarged and luminous
Casting its’ light on my tortured soul.
Peace, peaceful go I to sleep
Without regret, without recrimination
Each dream a memory of times gone by
Each memory dreamt on pillows soft
Safe, encased in soft lights gaze
A false security offered
Eyes betray the offered hand
Of friendship? or incarceration
I try to wake, my sedated mind
But the night enslaves me whole

In your fears
I am insecure
In your hesitancy
I am left waiting
In your flight
I am alone
In your self doubt
I am inadequate
and in the shadows of your eyes
I find the trails of my mistakes
the recrimination for my selfishness
the evidence of my self-centered mess
In the palpable silence between us
is the weight of all our fears and pain
the distance that keeps us numb
armors our hearts from further pain
Staring across the table in contented silence,
Knowing though our aches are isolated and unvoiced,
the other knows all our voids, the shadows, and broken shards.
Our mutual lonesomeness is the glue of our Love, the binding of broken into One.

The shadows from his younger days shake his resolve,
and make a mockery of time 'til time be lost
to moments of bewilderment, ne'er to evolve,
they bounce and bluster errantly, much to his cost.
Shades and silences, outbursts of ungoverned rage,
cruelty breeds rancor, even in the meek at heart,
kept and restricted, like a creature in a cage,
no literature for him, gentility or art.
Dissimulation, trickery and guile he plies
as tools to engineer self-preservation,
he tells quaint versions of the truth, and bald-faced lies,
so to avoid the whip and recrimination.
Childhood is the birthplace of hope and mirth
not fear and perturbation for the budding soul,
a testament to love where supplicants may dwell;
not tyranny or willfulness, a wayward goal.
Shun darkness, disillusion, from God's green earth,
cast demons, evil thinkers to the depths of hell.
