The Beauty of War

The beauty of war,
Arms are laid to rest,
Tolerance is imbibed.

The beauty of war,
Peace is appreciated,
It's no longer a second fiddle,

The beauty of war,
Its pangs restrain us,
The losses refrain us.

The beauty of war,
History archives it,
The unborn learn and blend.

The beauty of war,
Recrimination is reconsidered,
Raging hearts are pacified.

The beauty of war,
Togetherness is entrenched,
Its foundation is reinforced.

The beauty of war,
Humanity is esteemed,
Nature is haloed.

You would think after WW1 and 2, no country in their right mind would want to go through the same. It seems not a lot has changed over the years, just more inscribed names.

Some are recalcitrant to the beauty of war. Some are still blinded to its effect.
