Ravaging Poems

Premium MemberThe Ravaging Hoard

The rule of the hoard

Is etched on our brow

Some live by the sword

Some die by the plow

We watch it unfold

Yet still we allow

With morals on hold

What won't we do now

A Ravaging Downpour

A ravaging downpour,
At destruction not pour;
In farms a chainsaw,
Trees punching their core,
On many leaving a sore
All your cries from bare floor!

Muddy water in drains,
Obvious from speeding trains.
My face notes these with pain
But never Evil judges The Rain.
If I be upset “What Gain?”
Still, A loser in the main!

Gathering closer her aggrieved silk,
A dame starts mourning The Spilling Milk:
A woman whose man is no farmer;
Lips are rather proclaiming Snake Charmer!

Premium MemberHate Is Like a Vulture Eating Ravaging Rotten Flesh

Hate
is a vulture
It flies down to eat the dead of prey
In and on the desert plains
Hunger mounts
It's this environmental biological job to cleanse
Stinking cotton dead flesh
Yum! Carcass
Taste
Hate

The Cell Phone

*THE CELL PHONE*

Ages are Decreasing, Graves are Increasing
We are entrapped in a movable cell
It is a new dawn but has become a new set trap
The movable cell seems more powerful than the movable being
Our lives have been pirated but we pretend it’s a lifeboat

I have been a victim of the cell, engrossed in its activities
Only a few escape the damaging effect of the cell for they remember they built it not the reverse
We become invisible, yet we are physical beings
Jeopardizing the beautiful relationships nature has given us.
We become enemies of our own, that the blood of innocent souls cries on our hands

Ages are Decreasing, Graves are Increasing
The invisible creatures drain the life out of our time, leaving us lifeless and hopeless in our cell
Sleeping on the air, swimming in the sand and frying chicken in the fridge are unending attributes that echo through the cell
Hmmmm! Life is best lived with the cell phone but not as mini gods with ravaging effects
We must be protective and save lives not screen protectors of our cell phones.

Thank you.

Ravaging of Souls

I am blinded from the light,
Locked up in chains
My soul cannot be freed
As the darkness is my friend

I don’t want to live in this world of none
I don’t want to see the sun rise again.
I don’t want to suffer from the hollowness
I don’t want to see the joy of other’s

I am only respected among dogs
Others look at me as if I’m a dog
My world is small, my world is black.
If only I would live another day,
My world would have been darker

Life is nothing but pain
Life is nothing but unfinished dreams
Life is nothing but the destroyer of hope
Life is nothing but hunger

I don’t dream, I don’t love
For dreams will be shattered
Hearts will be broken
I show no mercy, I have no choice
The rich and wealthy have made me this
I am hunger, I am pain, I am poverty

Premium MemberRavaging Destruction

The hurricane hit in the middle of the night,
      originating in the Caribbean Sea just a tropical storm;
but by the time it hit land it was a category five,
it brought groans of howling wind and rain.

It lay waste and devastation in its path,
      destroying cities and towns without mercy;
buildings, homes and forests lay in ruin and havoc,
people rushed to shelters leaving all they loved.

A war of elements, a tempest wild, and violent,
      such strong winds no one can recall ever;
and the rain, and rain, the flooding, destruction,
people and animals drowned in whirling water.

And we are told of the pillage and plunder of homes
      by men with no moral compass, oh sadness;
and there are other hurricanes on the way,
a home destroyed with only steps for refuge.

A family clings praying for rescue . . . .

She pulls up the driveway...

The storm comes
The rain starts to pelt the Earth
It begins to splinter the wood
Cut into the hard ground
Like a knife made to cut
The lightning bears its own crackle
Shards of it splits the sky
And the thunder
Oh the thunder rolls
Like a bass drum the never ends
And brings the ears into fragments
As the wind slashes across
The landscape, brushing it with steel
The rain has no chance to survive
It pounds whatever is around
As the wind pulses through the air
Like a hurricane, lost and brutal
To the land it delves into
Moving, separating each
From its life, into darkness
Just like the sky, in the eye
Of the ravaging storm

She wraps around me
With her eyes delectable
She wafts of pure lust
And I ravage with delight
Love is our waging passion

Ravaging Days

Ravaging days
when clouds pale
the sun's rays
hindering its purpose
of existence, the cost.

Confusion rises
over what is true
what should we pursue
in these darkened days
that have made
our face pale
when all we think in fact
is saving ourselves
having stopped to care
choosing instead
our own comfort.

Then we retort
pretending
there's no heaven
or hell, there's no God
and if there is
doesn't seem He cares...

But we haven't really looked
we haven't a clue
because we didn't knock
we choose to mock
we haven't really searched
perhaps unwilling
to face the answers
because we know within
we would have to make
some serious change.

And the sun has weakened
over the earth crying tears
and the moon has turned to blood
with the presence of dark clouds
the only way to peace
the moon's connection with the sea
feared by so many
but in truth
the womb
of true life
and as the tides rise
and the waters advance
the earth begins to pray
turns to the heavens
choosing to believe
giving the sun a new gleam
purest gold
enriching all souls
and the water recedes
and above, a feast
has begun.

Cancer Ravaging

rampant and deadly
eating up the red blood cells,
leukaemia on course,
Fatigue,pain,profuse sweating,
uncontrollable symptoms.

It has many sibs
all with pure killer instincts,
one attacks prostate,
others the breast,skin and brain,
scientists in prolonged battle.
