Water's Bind

Stepping in water, displacing the pool.
Walking prudently in body and mind.
For there is no room for a squatter,
forcing spillage over water’s bind

Secure a space for your form,
sitting gingerly at witness.
One cannot see past the water's norm.
Hence be one within it.

Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD WHO MOVES US TO TRUST IN HIM

April 26 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Kings 18-19

Key Verse – 2Kings 18:5 He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO MOVES US
TO TRUST IN HIM WHO IS THE LORD

Praise be to God for moving us to trust in the Lord:
Directing us toward His will perfectly
Disciplining us through His way protectively
Declaring to us His worthiness-wealth prudently
Delighting us according to His Word’s working powerfully
Defending us against waywardness and worldliness peacefully

2Kings 18:6 Praise be to the Lord Who
ushers us to cleave to Him as we:
Cling to His goodness
Call unto His greatness
Clamor for His guidance
Come to His graciousness
Cheer along His generosity

2Kings 19:31 Praise be to the Saviour for
His zeal that always:
Revives our faith’s strength
Restores our fuel for service
Replenishes our fervor in stewardship
Rejuvenates our flame for servanthood
Reinforces our fixed firmness in supplication. Amen!

The Mighty Thought

The power of thought is like a flame,
Burning bright within our brain,
It starts with a seed in the mind's eye,
And grows into a vision that can touch the sky.

Thoughts shapes our world and guides our way,
Through every moment, every day,
For what we think, we bring to life,
With every thought, we change our strife.

Our own thoughts can build or break us down,
They can lift us up or leave us to drown,
Guard your thoughts with utmost care,
And choose prudently every thought you dare.

With positive thoughts we can soar,
And open up infinite doors,
With negative thoughts we can stall,
And create a life that feels small.

So let us harness the power of thought,
And use it for the good we've sought,
For in our minds lies the key,
To unlock the life we want to see.

Premium MemberAngry Dolphins

Precariously poised on
the precipitous precipice,
I pondered whether a nose-dive plummet
into the whirlpool lagoon below
was prudent, well-advised and provident.
But the angry impassive persona,
of the ever so cross porpoises,
seen purposefully prancing there
gawking up at me,
persuaded me to prudently,
postpone the plunge.

Enjoy God's
                     Gift of Youth,
               and prudently
                     prepare for
                the "not"
                     of it!

Premium MemberGraceful Ageing

Ageing,
like good sex,
good faith,
good humor,
and/or good politics,
seems to be a focused process

Of becoming less judgmentally rejected
for the traumatized company I keep

And more happily appreciated
for surviving
the predative
and privileged potential companions
I have prudently rejected.

Mary's fork is flat and harnessed.
Ageless her husband had witnessed
Amusing. She downs spaghetti
Noodles with a glass of ice-tea.

Kneading though air perfect noodles,
Take care if thickens it curdles.
Water is flavored with pork grease,
Bit of salt, makes a masterpiece.

Her incessant labors all day
Yielding prudently toils away.
Tomatoes, garlic, onion,
Basil, parsley, in abundance.

Steaming scent of oregano.
Weaving sauce up to her elbow.
Her success catches its flavor,
Hungry bellies ought to savor.

Whoever short, narrow verged shape
The human body can't escape
The obvious hold fallacies,
Provides a wealth of calories.

A flowing stream had inevitably given way.
To gently rest and recover in quiet splay.
Of the nectar stream of her fantastic brain.
Neural links coagulated on stale sustain.

Savor pulled loaves over a roaring fire.
Her leading center was a charcoal wire.
Thoughts went up in flames on the grate.
Darkened in a frigid kettle of fear innate.

Prudently, all that remained was her gold jewelry.
A contracted charm has been reduced to currency.
Expectation on a high wire; garrotte and tightrope.
The act of tearing her scrawny startup to rope.

In a frantic endeavor to cut off the unique string.
She felt frustrated over the bug that ensnaring.

Morning Star

The devil is in hearts of the many too afraid to be themselves
That are first to face the tune of day's clock
With wickedness thrained their dereliction can't stop
They're prudently persistent about the way you do things
Having absolutely no concept of love or compromising
When they finish destroying what they could
They move on to another
So when you see him sneering back at you
Across the table at the bar
Know it's him the snake breeching the weeds
The unholy morning star

Premium MemberMy Soul Is Locked Within

My soul is locked within my deepest thoughts
Behind this face that welcomes most unwelcomed foes.
I shall not trust my innermost secret thought-paths
To the warm, but unsolicited, glances you cast
My way. Neither shall I tell you what I most fear,
Nor what I might like about you should I later be
Enticed to care. First, you must allow me slowly
To come around, releasing my deeply-seated reserve
Of carefully protected secrets, so prudently stowed,
In my own time, so essential are they to who I am.

Then, and only then, will you penetrate the façade,
For I alone hold the keys to my private paradise locked
Away. And only then, will you know me completely
As you will already be, to your surprise, known to me.

Premium MemberCold Cocked Curse

Slinking silently through the night
on tiny tipped toes, claws withdrawn.
He mustn’t sleep until daylight’s dawn,
prudently prowls, avoiding light.

Clever, cunning crones craft a spell
to purloin his priceless powers,
control them in Eve’s evil hours,
condemn powerless prey to Hell.

Hither, fine ferocious feline.
Soulfully sing your sacred song.
Whiskers hoary, lavishly long
subtle signs of ancient bloodline.

He will not succumb to witches
who wish to control, to command.
Here he makes a substantive stand
to thwart wicked witches’ wishes.

Cruel claws render stinging slashes
slitting through wrinkled, withered skin.
They shrilly shriek their dying din,
melting ghoulish, gray-green ashes.

Premium MemberFamily Leader

Leader of the home with virtuous height
Bracing up family with grand posture
Governing prudently by great faith’s might
He’s our Daddy in his godly gesture.

Daddy dearest is our human fortress.
He loves us as he trusts the Lord* Who’s great.
Assertively pointing truths he does stress
Guiding with values of excellent rate.

His humor’s sense speaks of prudence-fervour
While wholesome jokes call for analyses
His boyish looks, before, earned Mom’s favour
With wise perspective in facing crises.

A champion in his home-roles’ fulfillment
Dad exemplifies “genuine provider"
Propelled by his faithfulness’ commitment
A paragon of steadfast life-builder.

Showing verily servant-leadership
Our father’s a hero in word and deed
How we thank his marvelous guardianship
We praise God for Dad’s legacy indeed.

*Psalm 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Dominating beyond my weakness' pile
Miss Distress emerges with annoying smile…
Radiating pressures’ enigmatic guile
Exposing my grievous reaction file
Midst what I testify as anti-stress tenacity style.

Then there's Slothful Lassie, lying upon carnality's crest
Oh, yes... she's seducing me to enjoy vanity rest
Toying with my pleasurable mirth of leisure’s zest…
Rekindling hearty moments' win over anguish-test
Whispering, "Too much toil robs you from triumph’s harvest."

Anyway, Mr. Reality Check, midst signals sending
Prudently asserts what he's unceasingly reminding
"Your faith fortitude's steadfastness God is upholding…
Keep trusting* the Lord, His miracles beholding
As in His will, your heart is settled; His delight finding."

My ever dearest Brother,

Who pays premium to mercy and truth*’s partnership

Thus, toleration midst compromise
versus accommodation along conflicts
is prudently considered.

       Thanks for gently reminding me

when you caught me in a quandary
only both you and I knew,
apart from God Himself…
Now, I want to reiterate such to you
grateful that we were taught to do what’s right.

I love you, my dear Brod...
…and yes, I believe that
you can’t do such
senseless, stupid thing
if you’re spiritual…
especially that we were raised
not celebrating Halloween.

*Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Premium MemberHelp Me Do Your Will, My God

My God, here am I with my desire to do Your will*
Though I’m not worthy... such I'll strive, triumphantly, fulfill
Cognizant of Your might I must depend on, totally still…
Help me; keep my soul marching toward service-hill.

My Lord, in my perseverance to do Your will with diligence
You alone can uphold my patience and persistence
While granting me peace midst worldliness-turbulence…
Help me; keep my faith focused unto You in my worship’s reverence.

My Master, I vow to do Your will and in You, abide
Yet, I admit my inability; thus I need You as my Guide
Enable me to perform joyously as I prudently decide…
Help me; keep my heart in Your love so I won’t backslide.

My Saviour, You’re my example in doing God’s will for Your glory
That reaches out to others, leading them from anxieties’ misery
By Your grace, overcoming slothfulness and its destructive injury…
Help me; keep my spirit trusting Your assured victory.

*Luke 11:2 …When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
