We danced the dance of love, my dear, my heart
and consumed time we shared with raptured hands
the earthly sphere we traveled without fear
and welcomed ecstasy fervor demands
invited pleasure from our eyes of fire
they penetrated our souls, to the core
where we found an inferno of desire
professed a surge of passion we adore
whether day or night secluded spaces
the kiss of love was a hunger we fed
that burned our flesh, leaving scented traces
and melted passionate hearts, until they bled
Perhaps it's timeless, it was sublime
This love has gone, a traveler of time

Sorry For the Wait

Written on August 14, 2017 10:16 PM

In the echoes of time, your words reverberate,
'Later, I'll reply,' you say, in a deliberate state.
'I'll read it later,' your commitment in the air,
Amongst my heartfelt lines, you handle with care.

A list I've compiled, each 'later' well-defined,
A thousand messages, a tale that's intertwined
'Unread confessions,' the title it might claim,
Of love professed, a digital love's sweet game.

A thousand times you vowed, 'I'll reply without fail,'
'I'll read it later,' your promise set like a sail.
Yet I hold on, steadfast in my belief,
That someday you'll respond;

In the dance of time, where 'later' meets 'now,'
I hope to hear you say, with love's eternal vow,

'I've replied, my love,'
'Sorry for the wait,'

Premium Member Answered Prayer

In spirit strong I prayed for your return
recalling daily memories, precious, dear.
No other understands my love for you
forgiveness that a heart went on to bear.

Sometimes I faced the dread of never knowing,
the love we had before my days were done.
So, it was as my pulse and steps were slowing
I begged my God for your return to come.

In one morning’s, twilight day, God answered
and soon caresses lived outside my dreams.
This second time around possessed a promise.
Your heart professed a true love as it seems.

In winter’s frost our romance warms the fire.
God bless us that it never will expire.

Premium Member How Jan and Lin Slayed the Dragon

Two ladies named Jan and named Lin
professed a forgivable sin
they cornered a dragon
wrung her in a flagon
and gave her away as cheap gin

The old dragon's name was Jooling
who had a habit of drooling
she couldn't stay dry
on ground or in sky
around her urine kept pooling

The ladies had had quite enough
The dragon smelled like bad stuff
so after they did drain her
to cement they did chain her
and threw her sad stench off a bluff

Into the ocean dragon fell
on hitting water she did melt
The girls were relieved
at what they'd achieved
and glad to be rid of the smell

They went on to gain great success
without all that putrefied mess
their poetry was renowned
no matter where it was found
The dragon's now fish food they guess
