Fight of Faith
Fight the good fight of faith* with God’s valour
As His soldier, vanquishing evil of deceptive color.
By the Spirit’s sword, quench the Devil’s fiery darts
Mighty is the Scripture upon truth-ramparts.
Conquer unbelief as well as skepticism’s mockery
Thru the Lord’s Word along certainty’s victory.
Face confusion with godly wisdom and knowledge
Seek the omniscient Creator and His prudence acknowledge.
Be a champion of righteous courage despite your weakness
Humbly yield to the Master; rely on His grace-mightiness.
*1Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
