To See the Other Side
The mountain boldly looms, impeding my ambitions.
My stature dwarfs to accept these preconditions.
My prestige cowers and independence shatters;
There is no solidity in my appearance.
The fixture mocks my character’s unravelling
Of a fleeting, hysterical montage weeping,
Defiantly cursing God and parents, cursing all.
“Cajole me!” I cannot climb, and so I will crawl.
Brush this monstrosity away from my vista,
This horrid rock that curtains my soul’s perspective.
“Remove it for me!” Let me see the other side;
If it’s not good, then show me another direction.
Mellow the view and let compassion be reflected.
“Let me breathe!” This isn’t the life I envisioned.

Thanksgiving 2021 does not appear to be much fun
for it will only be two little doggies and me
I guess I will share my meal by watching the NFL
only dear lord please keep the players off their knees
I have too many preconditions to risk virus infection
better play it safe and remain home in place
But never in the least should I miss Thanksgiving feast
A roast turkey and spiral ham
mashed potatoes and candy yams
Gravy and hot rolls please
cornbread dressing and mac and cheese
A green bean casserole and a relish plate
no cream corn would be a big mistake
Cranberry sauce ready from a can
devil eggs the holiday demands
Don't forget mom's holiday noodles
broccoli pour on melted cheese in oodles
Pecan and pumpkin pie
loads of whipped cream applied
Wash it down with fresh brew tea
a better holiday meal could not be
But is this a little much for two doggies and me
the cooking and cleaning for just us three
Think I got a more practical idea
three frozen roast turkey dinners for our Thanksgiving meal.

ideals to inspire soldiers
when 9/11 spewing black clouds meant a
complicated revenge
defeat terrorists, take out bin Laden
remake a country in democratic vestments
golden good intentions that lose their way in
an undertow of violence
the bones of wartime, bullets of combat carnage
Taliban insurgents hide and seek in Pakistan
militants wait to impose their laws
as a regime falls, unhinged by corruption
unwilling to fire a shot
swift capitulation like jaws snapping shut
US departure, flawed
dangles like severed wires
refugees stampede
flee the bondage of remaining
evacuation - a spreading blood stain, chaotic
Afghanistan intervention, no sound preconditions
for success
in an end game that had no ending?
just more of the same?
achievements of 20 years
seep through outstretched hands
like heated wars
storms of desert sand
that fixate on what cannot be changed

He cares for the less fortunate
Never judges the weak or frail
He does much to lift them up
Knowing he's only a step away himself
Always there to lend a hand
No matter the circumstance
It is said that he is just one man
But one man that's learned to make a stand
Rare heart
Beats for those in need
Rare heart
Keeps him alive in his beliefs
He never thinks about himself
Or brings glory to his name
With a purpose in life to help others strive
He revels in the give away
Do they ever really deserve it
Has never once crossed his mind
Do any of us more or less
Deserve anything in life
Rare heart
A heart that freely beats
Rare heart
Gives more than it ever keeps
He'll continue on his whole life long
In doing what is right
Not what you find in the world's mind
But in the good Lord's eyes
There are never preconditions
In healing what is hurt
Feels it's his job to spread the love
But never is it work
Rare heart
Always is upbeat
Rare heart
Always filling others needs

met at life's first dawn
no preconditions at stake
spare or save at will
it can only be retrieved
when a soul reaches sunset

No thing in this beautiful world is equal to any other
So, some genius (nincompoops) tried their level best - to equate;
I don't know whosoever has asked them to equate
I can bet, there must be some amount of hate - factor in it
To fit - their desired result out of it - like Shylock
Even being a student of science, I am saying so
'Cause I know, equality is just a hypothesis
Yes, I know my words may annoy you all
But, think - preconditions being the same results always differ
Do you and your siblings are equal?
Can any factory produce exactly the same product from their machines?
The answer is, "No" - those are almost equal but not the same
Can my love equates with my beloved's love?
Why hundred odd Billionaires have all the riches of billions of people?
What say you? My friend - Equations never equate
We all are unique
And that's the beauty

P.S. : Sorry, if my words hurt you any, I do not meant to
