He Is With Me

I cried out to God on bended knee
I listened as He prayed over me
That prayer made all the difference
Yes indeed it set me free
Now set free I am so joyful
All the day long I sing His praises
Lifted high above the heavens 
He's with me all of my days

A Much Prayed through Decision

As we continue this new journey, a much prayed through decision;
it really hurts my heart that it can create so much division.

The questions and the doubts continue to roll in.
To explain and defend our decision, I don’t even know where to begin.

I’ll start with first things first, and that is obedience to God.

I asked GOD one day,  in my small, little voice, 
"What does it matter,  whatever the choice?"
 So as the sun dazzled, the breeze softly said 
"It only will matter just before you are dead."
And it shocked me to hear FATHER'S words,  crystal clear. 
But my spirit was listening when HE whispered

the gift came in the mail.

You're prayer is answered
now take this gift
and give it freely
to all
who touch
your life

My Man of Faith

Tattoo my tongue with candy kisses
that pour into my heart like fine wine
Caress me dear wide as the atmosphere
With a red quilted touch in time

Sway with me as we dream
singing our favorite songs
Stay with me despite challenging
Teal times that go wrong

When I cry let us decide 
that empathy helps me heal
When I try to run

Thunder Eyes
Thunder in her eyes,
    cut me me down to size,
          lightning in her mind,
              she seemed to be a bit unkind.

Then she did amaze,

I Prayed God Would Take Her

She had more vibrancy and get up and go than Granny on the Beverly Hillbillies
My mother
She was spry with a hilariously keen sense of humor
She was younger than any of the rest of us
Although at 87 she was the oldest one in the family
Until she wasn’t.

Cancer snatched her up and began killing her one lick

Did I Tell You I Prayed For You Today-

Did I tell you that I prayed for you?
Today
Today
Did I tell you that I spoke to God this day?
Is it Okay

Is it alright that I interceded
I’m Okay to pray
For you, this day

Did I tell you that I loved you in spite of your sins?
Some of which are not so easily broken
I don’t hate you, but

God Really Does Answer Prayer

When my yearly nurse from United Healthcare exam-ed my legs she informed me." I have been cured of Lymphedema, but it could come back again at any time."

Each time she mentioned how did I get healed? "I would reply God healed me."

Thus she would always answer me, "God is not an option."

Separate-Ly, Equal-Ly, Together-Ly

What if we'd met at Jackson Memorial in the neonatal ward,
Placed ever so gently, side by side, facing the outside world?
And our parents and relatives and friends they had
Giggled thru an over sized window
And waved and pointed and cooed at us,
Two tiny babies in little pink blankets with silly hats on our heads.

I prayed for joy
God sent me a rainbow
Sunshine light and crimson truths
Awakening my soul to shine
As bright as the dawn

I prayed for faith
God sent me pure grace
To sustain me when I pray
And when I can’t find a way
To say what I need to say

God sent me a warmth
That abides inside my soul

In My Desperation I Prayed Unto the Lord and He Listened-

I was in a funk,
In a state of debunk
In a state of despair
Depressed and hollowed out
All I could do is just shout

A new beginning has risen

Guide me along my way

Time passes in shifts
Sometimes slowly
Other times faster than
