Six plus three is eight
School is really great
Two plus five is nine
It’s never been this fine
One times one is four
My teacher I adore
Math comes to me so easily

If the President is Lawless, SO IS EVERYONE ELSE!
Go steal that £ucking yacht!
Florida Governor outlaws Rainbow Sidewalks. W.T.F.!
Song: "Yesterday", The Beatles
Yesterday I had lots of fun with Sugar Ray,
Now the neighbors yell out words like ‘gay’.
Oh I believe in yesterday.
This tactic, 2+2=5, is a direct reference to George Orwell's novel "Nineteen Eighty-Four", where the party in the novel tries to force Winston to accept that 2 + 2 = 5.
Meanwhile let us just forget
about Joseph Biden's Presidency
beginning with the Russian
invasion of Ukraine
and the debacle of withdrawal
from Afghanistan (did those people
really fall trying to hang
on to departing passenger planes?),
and ending with the autopen,
and "obviously absolutely unequivocally"
no sign of cognitive decline!
Believe the propaganda,
it's easy if you try,
no lies below you;
above you only (blinding) light.
Is Donald Trump a clown,
or is he just not down with the Democrat minions'
Socialist (Marxist Communist) revolution?
Today was a thirty plus day said Lee
They come along sometimes
This means thirty-poems written by me
And only one of them has rhymes
My personal daily goal is ten
Which I have met since 2010.
“Handmaid of Patriarchy”
the garden rezoned
Embattled virility
misogyny cloned
As Delilah revolts
a new Samson on scene
One half of the whole
left to drown in the stream
Each genders new quotient
to minus the plus
A He without Her
— the destruction of us
(Saint David’s Pennsylvania: May, 2025)
There’s a moon
Breaking through the dark
Half a hundred plus four stars beside it
Each one trying to equally share its spark.
Then, the sun rises
Gentle, not too hot, not too cold
But it melts the walls that have risen within
Changing hearts, making them more bold.
A road appears
Stretching across seas, sands, and trees
Leading us all to a place
Where everyone has a seat with ease.
It’s a dream
One star shining bright
Over Africa, uniting us
A beacon of hope, lighting the night.
Seventy Plus
Have been retired for 7 years
The best parts:
no work hassles
more time to write poetry
more time to play music
more time to work on my project list
(of course, AFTER the honey do list)
more time to volunteer
more time for naps
I can sit around in sweats and tee shirt
(in summer shorts and tee shirt)
But
The worst parts:
insomnia
not as much energy
in bed by 9PM
(I am a party pooper)
need hearing aids
my joints ache
have trouble remembering names
takes me longer to do my projects
(good excuse for not completing honey do list)
These are the best of times and the worst of times
If I can remember what the past times were like!

I have a nasty cold
That doesn't want to go away
I am also all congested
There is a lot of flam
Coming out
From my mouth
I am trying to clear my through
Yes I already had my breakfast
Early in the morning
Raising bran, boiled eggs
And a banana
Now I am going to sleep
All day
At noon I got up
I made myself a hot toddy
Tea, lemon, and honey
And I went back to sleep
I was also sweating like crazy
Yes I am also very tired
I'd love to listen, passion sung,
Words warmly from your tongue.
Oh the time, when beauty chimes,
And my heart is firmly strung.
Rhymes adopt a new confession,
Although those lines are fleeting.
We'll score the meeting, hearts loudly beating,
Love born where friendship's sprung.
Wicked wily woke.'

Is one old; bad joke.)
When I got up this morning
I noticed the bureau mirror was staring at me
It was just old
You could see the cracks
And there's a little kerfuffle smack in its middle
Ususally the wife tends to these matters
[time]
Eh!
Either that thing or me, gotta go.
