Pino Poems

Divine Covering

From fence to fence
From curb to fence
For all occupants
We seek Your defense

Your light projects
Your will protects
Evil spirits everywhere
I say to them to beware

The darkness will not prevail
For God‘s love will never fail
When we worship together with angels
The blood of Jesus is my divine covering

Turn around
Don’t drown
When encountering (1)

Thank you, sweet lamb of God.
Always goes with me.
And the angels that go before
And minister for us

Peace and grace fall
I’m covered by fresh fire
Unholy burns away when I’m with you.
We are loved dearly by God
You are the apple of my eye.
Hide me under the shadow of thy wings. (2)

I thirst and I am hungry.
I’m not here for blessings. (3)
I’m not here for miracles.
I need you, all I need is you.
I know my identity.
I know whose I am.

On the day of Christ Jesus

Sometimes I am weak.
God is always strong. Sometimes I doubt.
God is always faithful.

Soak in his light and inwardly we let Him in.

Tampuhan

Tampuhan

It was cooler on the verandah.
We had quarreled earlier
your pino terno gown whispers
while you give me the silent treatment.
The apartment seems to sulk
in the orchid laden air.

The heart of a guitar was playing
on the street below.
A young Filipino minstrel
sang a sentimental song:
about the sea and shore
how they really want
to dance as one tempo.

When I ask you about the song
the rustle of your falling dress
spoke for both ours bodies.
“It’s tampuhan,” you say
with a slow smile.
Later I understood.

Abra a Porta

Abra a porta

Na vida ou nos negócios,
na década que se vai
naquela que chega
sempre abra sua porta.

Abra a porta para o planejar,
abra a porta...
Nenhum sonho fique
do lado de fora.

Do escurecer ao dia claro,
sonhe e seja tudo,
rosa de mil pétalas
aberta na sombra.

Quem se multiplica
não sofre o vexame
de só ser uma pessoa só
do cair do sol ao sol a pino.

Ang Asin Ng Sanlibutan

Ang asin ng sanlibutan
Ay nagmula sa dagat;
Gawa ng Inang Kalikasan,
Ang lasa ay maalat.

Ang asin ng sanlibutan
Ay totoong napakahalaga;
Kailangan ito ng katawan
Upang tubig di agad makawala.

Ang asin ng sanlibutan
Ay may iba't ibang uri;
May magaspang at pino,
May orihinal at peke.

Ang asin ng sanlibutan
Ay hindi lang para sa lutuin;
Gamit din upang di mabulok,
Karne ng hayop o isda rin.

Ang mga tao sa mundo
Ay alipin ng kabulukan;
Pinagtularan sa Iglesia ni Cristo
Ang asin ng sanlibutan.

Premium MemberBorinquen Soy

El conjunto plena...
trio tumbao
aguas buenas
sueños arbolitos
sueños de pino
siempre unidos
la fuerza de mi padre
el sabor gitano
de mi madre
gritos del cacique
tierra de mi gente
Sangre de poeta
Luz de mi sol
Siempre en mi corazón
Borinquen soy
hoy y en las
mañanas..

The Twin Cities

Jazz & Blues music is a delight to every soul seeking a ray of moonlight,
even Madonna and Beyonce wear the kind of jazzy clothes
that attract handsome guys on city streets and in fancy clubs...
hear those loud saxophones that make everyone dream at night!

Jazz & Blues music is very popular in sunny Napoli...
the beautiful city on the azure and peaceful bay;
listen to the song, " Naples is..." sung by Pino Daniele: it's the spirit
of a-once-suppressed people, now shrugging off prejudice and doubt!

And New Orleans, once devastated by Katrina still echoes
with the sounds of Jazz & Blues despite it's many visible woes;
the twin cities embrace the same music to uplift them in very tough days...
while hoping for a better and brighter tomorrow that will offer many joys!

Bergkiefer/Mountain Pine/Pino De Montaña

Bergkiefer/Mountain Pine/Pino de Montaña
Der Duft der Bergkiefer
Der Sommerwind trägt ihn hinunter
Zum Fuß der Berge

------------------------------------------------

The scent of mountain pine
Summer wind carries it
Down to mountains' foot

Aroma del pino de montaña
El viento de verano lo lleva abajo
Al pie de las montañas

Chili So Tasty

Chili so tasty,
just for you,
cool day in summer,
great time to have
a nice hot bowl
of home cooked chili,
Start frying hamburger,
drain grease, put in
large pot, add Red Dark
Kidney beans, with Pino
beans to boot, drained
of course, two Tablespoons
Chili powder, 1 Med. onion
chopped, small green pepper
also chopped, can of diced tomatoes,
probley small can tomato sauce,
add 1 can of water to start with,
cook for one hour,
What you will taste is,
Chili fit for a king,
but served straight
to you.
