Meaningless Happiness

Looking in the mirror
I peer into my soul
Who am I now?
How did I get here?
I fear I'm lost
Tossed into this world like nothing
Something worthless
Like I'm worth less than bread
And I dread tomorrow
Sorrow overpowers my will
To go on
Is hope gone?
How can I carry on
Like this?
I miss sanity
Vanity created this life
Now strife is abundant
In my world
Hurled me into darkness
An abyss of absentness
Meaningless happiness
Confessing its inablilities
As we have known
And it has shown
But must we keep prooving it?
We're losing time
With redundant proofs
Of this truth
Time is better spent productively
If ppl could see that
They would be that much happier.

In This Lonely Crowded World

In this lonely crowded world I am all alone

I see but am not seen as my indiscretions are shown

In this lonely crowded world there is only darkness to embrace

And the life that comes along with it, which is one for the disgraced

In this lonely crowded world there is nothing but hate and distrust

I suffer knowing now that my fate was just

In this crowded lonely world I live in silence and desolation

So let this be your warning, don't give into temptation

Imprissoned

We are all prisoners in our own homes,
held to ransom by our T.V's and phones.
Are we truly unable to communicate face to face,
or has fear and incompetence put us in our place.
I cant take it anymore,
life has become just a constant bore.
There are people out there,
but they pass each other by without a care.
Technology was supposed to make this world great,
maybe lonliness is really our fate.
I'm prepared to stand up for whats right,
so come along and join my fight.
For together were strong,
we will combat this wrong.
The world can reunite if we dont allow technology to be our plight.

Landing In a You and Me Land

LANDING IN A ME AND YOU LAND

listen,~
I have this like conundrum,
A choice
and probably a problem with either one or one million complaints
And curse the portrait this universe paints
With the blood of those in turbans atop
And no matter how loud I scream the world won’t stop
Cease
Surrender
nor accept and live with people who are willing to be tender
The world has always been a world of trouble for me
And if John Doe had problems they would double for me
Perhaps it’s because I seem vulnerable enough to ache from whatever the universe throws in
my direction
unable to make any correction
nor connection
And watch the hills to tumble as mountains turn to mud and clay……

There Was a Monster In My Bed, But He's No Longer With Us

I hope you die in your sleep, it's only fitting
for you to exit this life unconscious, unwitting.
It's the only way for you to go, safe and sound in bed,
the place you've hurt so many. The place you pled
another naive boy, another desperate girl, into your embrace.
I'll tell the world your secrets, I'll show them your disgrace.
No more mystery of where you spent your nights,
your wife will know, oh how you deserved all the fights.
And when this time comes, your evil will finally be known.
All your demons, all your skeletons, the lies you called your throne
displayed to the world. Your shame, your mistakes, the stunts you pull
they will prove me right, will finally show you for what your are; unfaithful.
Unfaithful to your friends, but more so, unfaithful to your lover.
I only have one qualm, the state of your wife, but I'm sure she will recover.
For it's not hard for the world to move on from someone such as you.
Someone so disgusting, so despicable, so diabolical through and through.

Changing Values

Changing Values

Time keep on changing without a stop,

Human behavior also keeps on rolling,

Without tiring like Time and Watch.

The Man who showed the world light and torches,

And were the leaders of yesterdays,

To-day they are called the politicians of changing thoughts.

They read less and teaches a lot,

Often without even understanding and following,

The principals of humanity and law of Torts.

They breathe for Money and their belief is Money,

Their aim to live on this earth is Money,

They live for money and they worship Money like God.

The time of those wonderful great leaders like Gandhi,

The time of those history maker’s great men like Lincoln,

May never be possible on this Earth.

As the time of selfless devotion for a cause,

As the time of showing the world a new path, now goes through,

The jungles of irremovable Money Grass, Money trees and Money rocks.

And who always gets it right, anyway?
Endless ideas, personalities in one pot!
You’re still the greatest the world has got
Never lose sight of your Fathers’ dreams

Loved, hated, different, alive…
Sister of brothers and two whom are dead.
Lover of my James, and saving those who have cried.
One who feels loved, and shares it amongst others who deserve it.
One who fears loosing the ones cherished.
Would love to see this world change for the better.
Residing in a world so cold.

The Land of Plenty

There is a land where all is good
It's called the land of plenty
A land that believes, in what is right
But still, it's hated by many

It always lends a helping hand
To whoever they find in need
The world sometimes forgetting
Our loved ones we send that bleed

A land that was founded on freedom
And would die for it's liberty
For many of our sons and daughters
Gave all to keep us free

How quickly the world seems to forget
The sacrifice we've made
We've given all we had to give
And often our blood was paid

I'm talkin about the red, white and blue
That's home to so many today
We freely give, to all that ask
The good ole U S of A

Shel Silverstein

I am intrigued by Shel Silverstein
His passion and his works
His obscure way of rhyming
Making fun of other's quirks

Unique, unusual, surprising
Funny and clever is a given
With emphasis on children
And the world that they live in

“Hector the Collector, Boa Constrictor
Band-Aids, Sick, or With his Mouth Full of Food,”
His poems are very different
Yet similarly very good

I chuckle in amusement and smile, reading
“If the World Was Crazy and Sky Seasoning”
But it’s impossible to just like two
When they are all so amazing

“Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would Not Take the Garbage out,”
and “The Giving Tree,”
To go unmentioned would devalue Shel’s name
Especially the last one I listed
As it really was his claim to fame

Daydreaming

Daydreaming sets us free,
free to do anything,
be anything within the
realm of imagination.

A release from reality,
a world in which there is
complete control.

Where decisions are never wrong,
a place without violence, where
contentment massages the soul.

A world through which frustration
and anger are expelled causing a release,
a calming effect, maybe a new beginning.

Daydreaming sets us free to
return to reality.

The World That We Live In

THE WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN

PEOPLE ARE POOR AND THE GOVERNMENT DONT CARE.

ITS A COLD HARD MEAN WORLD OUT THERE.

THE LAW ENFORCERS BREAK THE LAW.

THE WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN IS FULL OF HATE AND SIN .................

BUT NO MATTER WHAT WE ARE ALL ONLY HUMAN.

ITS NOT ALL EVIL IN THIS MIXED UP WORLD.

AND IM NOT NOT THAT SAME LITTLE GIRL.

THIS WORLD WE LIVE IN CAN BE MEAN.

SOME THINGS CAN REALLY BE WHAT THEY SEEM.

BUT ON THE WAY AND IN BETWEEN BEING YOUR SELF IS ALL YOU CAN EVER BE.

Why?

Why do people change?
Why can't we stay the same?
When life begins everyone's in wonder,
nothing's in vain.
As life goes on it wears us down,
it brings on pain.
Some triumph, other fail;
they lose hope, fall into despair.
Why do things change?
Why can't they stay the same?
the world was good and just,
then greed and lust grew.
The world was new and now the pure of heart are few.
Why do heart's change?
Why can't they stay the same?
Our hearts' desire to love,
we're created to love.
But the heart is fragile and becomes weak.
hatred and jealously overpower the meek;
And slowly the heart dies, in silence, in peace,
in remorse the heart leaves us to seek, until found,
what is no longer sound.

Our Grand Parents

It's important to praise them,
the great heroes who worked
very hard,
to make the world a glorious place.
Had it been them
and what they did,
the world would have been a place
of bush and trees.

People

i dont think the lord ment for this..
and sorry it might sound cruel but understand this,
people whether wicked or good find different ways to look at him,
He died apon the cross and the world wept.
They rejoiced when they saw him standing again.
He may have been pure but he'll never swear there are
wicked or good
wicked or good
people haunting the streets, some bad only because
they've come from bad homes. others chosen to lead a life of misery.
Or find their talent hidden way underneath.
Look past the skin and the attitude, dont you think..
we all deserve to have an eqaul chance at survival in this emotionally,
and pysically world. Energy sapping, bad vibe zapping at small little children,
it is everyones world upon which we stand. Whether
wicked or good
wicked or good
shouldn't we all get our chance?
