Each thought and action has a consequence,
it's energy sent into the universe
that attracts more of the same.

Wouldn't it be fabulous if everyone generated
positive energy that was loving and
conducive to building a better society?

Have we not had enough of bickering
and toxic fighting amongst ourselves
that lead to chaos, war and endless devastation?

Create the peace you want to see around you
by nurturing thoughts of harmony and acts of kindness
~ and one day the world will become a better place.

In a world fraught with hatred, war and bloodshed
Mankind thirsts for abiding peace and calm
In love and harmony when we live, it’s heaven on earth.
Life may be harsh, yet be merciful, it acts as a balm.

Understand others especially the ones neglected.
Let love sedately flow like a gentle river,
Smoothing the sharp pebbles of hatred lying below.
Show mercy to fellowmen, holding them in prayer.

Let peace, love, understanding and mercy fill hearts with delight.
And bask in God’s infinite love’s cascading rays of light.

Premium MemberNeed of the hour

From apes we have evolved,
The theory of evolution declares.
As social beings we gradually advanced;
Ignoring harmony, we suddenly ruined.
The advent of caste, creed and religion
Has broken up the world into fragments.
Our deities, prophets and saints taught us
The principles of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
It’s time we make peace, love, understanding and mercy,
The pillars on which humanity survives, our sole motto.

P - Peace, a tranquil sea in the soul, a quiet dove’s flight,
L - Love, a gentle fire that warms the heart, a beacon bright,
U - Understanding, a bridge built between minds, a path of light,
M - Mercy, the soft rain that cleanses the earth, a starry night.
Peace blooms in the quiet of a mindful heart’s grace,
Love’s enduring song fills the empty, lonely space,
Understanding’s hand reaches across the human race,
Mercy’s gentle touch leaves a lasting, kind embrace.
In harmony they dance, the world’s most needed four,
P-L-U-M, a symphony we must implore.

WE SHALL LIVE IN PEACE

Jesus Christ preached tolerance.
Mohammed did the same.
Yet modern day messiahs,
Have brought upon them shame.

The Hindu faith is peaceful,
Jainism and Buddhism too.
But religious fanatics
Spread hatred through and through.

Every war is ruinous,
Many human lives are lost.
Conflicts benefit no one.
They come at tremendous cost.

Let us break the shackles,
Of extremist discourse.
Let's spread peace and harmony.
Let's be a positive force.

Peace Find

Eyeing forward the sky
Eclectic, unending, space fly
Moon reflecting, antennae, sky-high
Hitherto' I yield, ensemble quietness
Silent my eyes, motionless
Peaceful musings in my mind bless
It quiets me
A place, I let no other enter free
Not a solitary soul to be
My place. My space
My quietness, embrace
It is there inside, I laze
To call upon when
I wake from blurring dream zen
In midnight room den
Resembling to find serenity
Sense of harmony
My peace and tranquility

The Silent Arrow

From within, I seek
Bowstring hums, wisdom whispers
Peace reveals the truth

Twilight awakens
Through still branches, quiet glow
Clarity unfolds

A gentle breeze stirs
Thoughts settle like soft petals
Harmony remains

Premium MemberNo Rest For the Wicked

The good and true know rest and peace
Simple because without selfish intent
They can lay their burdens down
Moment by moment and so enjoy
The endless journey.
The bad and false know no rest
Because driven by desire
There is no satisfaction
And so their path
Becomes an endless wheel of suffering.

One is like a still pond
In which you can see your clear reflection,
The other a swift rapid
Making waves and turbulent eddies
At every turn.
One knows peace effortlessly
The natural byproduct of life in harmony,
The other knows it only as a dream
Something strived for
But never attained.

Losing The War

Diverse race, religion, sex, gender, caste and creed We are,
Despite that, We have come together so far.

Every God tells us to live alongside,
Yet We let even the minute difference push us away from each other wide.

Chasing power and not harmony,
We have not yet learnt from the lessons taught to us by Germany.

In killing and terrorizing some nations take pride,
The blood keeps flowing but has never dried.

Our silence is the cause of suffering,
Yet We are engrossed in our phones despite our minds buffering.

We are like a beautiful bird with different colours of feather,
Why can’t We keep aside the differences and come together?

Wars and bloodshed must cease,
If not, will our children know the meaning of peace?

Every life on this planet is worth and must not be played with like a toy,
We aspire to cry together basking in the tears of joy.

Every atrocity will be, by Him, accounted for,
Humanity can only win by losing the war.

TO THE NEED OF LOVE’S GREAT WAR

Rockets and bombings,
Replace peace and harmony;
Death, toasting with blood:-

Let us go to peace,
Feeding those starving from war:
Bombing them with love:-

Premium MemberPeace, Peace, And Honest Peace

Peace, peace and sincere peace
We all wish, dream and confuse about peace
Are we really serious, thirsty and hungry for peace
Even though the gunships and cannons are set and ready
To go, to attack the weak and the imagined enemies?
Do we truly want a world of brotherly harmonies?
Yet, superpowers invest their time, ingenuity, and moneys
In smart drones, powerful guns and well-trained armies
Are we sure that we want lasting peace?
This world is made of corrupt goons, pogamists, liars and bullies
Warmongers are hypocritical, strange, sneaky and devious
This agitprop about peace is delusional headlines or breaking news
To startle or to dimwit elderlies, idealists, and crying babies
Politicians are godawful sensationalists on steroid
Where muzzled reporters and anchors are ridiculed and toyed
By elected pogromists in search of free publicities
Yet, yes we yearn for peace and tranquility in the burgs and cities
Peace is about coming with clean and caring hands
To share the streams, the land, the sand and the highlands.

ZEN within The Storm

A light within I ponder,
love for one that should be.
A journey in silence I seek
finding a balance within the storm.
Seeking the path of yoga,
not just the union of body with breath
but a Zen within to be found,
A soul’s harmony beyond life and death

WE SHALL LIVE IN PEACE

Jesus Christ preached tolerance.
Mohammed did the same.
Yet modern day messiahs,
Have brought upon them shame.

The Hindu faith is peaceful,
Jainism and Buddhism too.
But religious fanatics
Spread hatred through and through.

Religion is a binding force,
Meant to guide the human race,
On the path to righteousness,
To achieve the Gods’ grace.

Misguided by avarice,
Nations are driven to war.
Artificial boundaries
Created; humanity tarred.

Every war is ruinous,
Many human lives are lost.
Conflicts benefit no one.
They come at tremendous cost.

Let us all break the shackles,
Of extremist discourse.
Let's spread peace and harmony.
Let's be a positive force.

For too long has Mother Earth,
Borne the disasters of wars.
It is time that mankind joins,
And travels together afar.

Let us forget jingoism;
Join the brotherhood of Man.
Eliminate all conflicts.
Together, we surely can.
