every game was about baby, the theme is pink and gold
the giggles and laughter by women, never get old
the jokes are hilarious, this baby shower is a delight
mom and I will talk about it all through the night
diaper pins were not easy to find, but we did it
the kidding was crazy, as was the game with oven mitt
hilarity was as fun as Tupperware parties back in the day
I do not know myself, but believe my auntie Kay
we got to guess the sex, which was fun, but redundant of course
the pink and gold theme was not meant for a unicorn horse
I never knew mom’s friends could be this much fun at all.
What a marvelous party to have; I had a ball!
cloth diapers were not easy, and we painted onesies too.
Most of the partygoers chose pink, I chose a royal blue
I want my little sibling to have the best, and lots of color.
Whether she be a sister or a sweet chubby pink brother.

A masquerade party
ever since 2005
The hosts floated balloons
partygoers thrived
The masks ripped off now
Jews beheaded and raped
by those who disavow
that they're half-human

A well-attended party ends;
Halfway through, it went bust.
A wind of change blew in
A consuming cloud of dust.
The music was on full blast.
Attendees danced with great gusto.
Suddenly, gunshots rang out!
It was all fun just moments ago!
A tempest of sheer terror
Swept through the large crowd;
A roaring kerfuffle ensued
And grew increasingly loud;
Some fleeing partygoers
Knocked each other down like dominoes
Toward the exit doors. Why someone
Comes to a party armed, nobody knows!

Twinkle twinkle, the lights red blue and green,
On the end of the week, twilight evening scene.
The partygoers emerge, stardust in their eyes,
Like the sunshine glare on golden butterflies!
The end of a long day, withal the end of a week,
Sequins after sunset, and full moon of mystique.
My working days behind me, stars shine so bright,
Along with many yellow orange and purple lights!

Yup, here they come
hippies, yuppies, kiddies and Millenials, generation X on the run
they gather at the restaurants and malls
ten or twelve six feet apart walk along the walls
casually strolling pass the limited entry stores
no longer able to stay at home, so tired and so bored.
There's Old Joe and John, laughing as they wave their hands
to Sue and Lynn, Morgan and Zoe in the corner stand
masks upon their face, sauntering with grace
hoping to find a sale within this space,
but security is riding on their segway racers
courting those who appear displacers.
There are no flash mobs here
all the people hold back their fears
these once avid partygoers
are now streamlined floaters
longing, aching, wishful thinking of party times
when they all danced and drank alcoholic wines.

A chatty raccoon in a plaid racing cap
Crashed our party with a lighting zap.
Showed our guests a brand new computer app.
An intelligent creature, quite a lovely chap.
Some partygoers danced on his fluffy lap.
Landing hard on the floor, a hearty whap.
If they annoy you, I said, give ‘em a slap.
This advice caused him to laugh and flap.
He spoke of an enormously keen treasure map.
One of the guests looked and said it was crap.
Another said don’t be a crazy old sap.
A third one began to speak of her disgusting pap.
Chatty raccoon’s head was held on by a strap.
Did not untie it for it was a conspiracy trap.
He began to boogie with a whistle and clap.
Loved this party-going raccoon who never did nap.

Were I a sink, I think I'd cry
What people put down my drain
~ Oh, my!
Why, just today I looked up
to dodge the drool of a doberman pup
And on the weekend you won't believe
what partygoers tend to leave
Everything from nuts to cigar butts
and bloody band-aids from their cuts
I 'm just so lucky to a mirror be
Folks clean my glass to look at me

The birthday party, a surprise,
Had lots of things to tantalize –
A lovely house, delicious food,
A friendly host to set the mood…
Some dialogue with friends and kin,
The birthday gal’s elated grin
When, from the car, she looked about
As all of us let out a shout.
My favorite part, though, was to see,
Transcribed to view on a TV,
Home movies of the honored guest,
The past revived at our behest.
Most partygoers knew her then
And lived those mem’ries once again
But we don’t go back quite as far
So watching really raised the bar:
An eighth grade trip, a P.J. bash,
A backyard pool, with hose and splash,
The senior prom (and she the queen!),
A high school graduation scene.
To see my friend so very young
Gave background to the praises sung
And piled so high upon her plate
By all who came to celebrate.
As pals and family reminisced,
I saw a bit of what I’d missed
But I was thrilled to recognize
My younger friend, a sweet surprise.

There's a party down at the marsh,
amongst all the wild amphibians,
Theresa toad croaking alongside her tadpoles,
all one thousand and one of them,
Carla the crayfish catering all the food,
all of the partygoers in a festive mood,
the dragonflies doing their aerial light show,
getting much applause, they take a bow,
The crayfish band playing like mamba kings,
while the tadpoles do their synchronized swim,
even Rocky the raccoon stepping on in,
spinning round and round doing the swing,
While Sally the salamander does the mamba marsh dance,
Lenny the Lizard was looking for romance,
dancing all night with her in the marshy swamp,
watching out for gators and their big toothy chomp,
Till Sammy the snake cop slithered on in,
about to tell them to stop disturbing the peace,
instead he started slithering and grinning all on a whim,
hissing along to the the crayfish mamba kings beat.

A butter tin, a biscuit packet, a shampoo bottle, a can of hairspray. Writing writing writings. Inherited wisdom of print. Wow. Exclusive. And dip doo doo. Well it takes an elephant with round glasses on a field trip to study. Really quite ridiculous. Lines and Luna characteristics shrouded in a cavernous vault of systematic judgemental falsities. So beware. Be very aware. Oh dear. A rattle is stuck in a tree. Or is it a train. Or is it a minefield. Colour that in then. Sell sell sell. Mission done. Domes. Shoot shot shat. Sew and a good morning. And a night. Meetinghouse not in print then. Just die death deathly dipping drape. How cosy it must be. 500 £ or 5 million dollars hmmm interesting. Tailored trapped tea partygoers in lobster suits fry fry fry on yachts drinking salty sanitized sambucca. Hahahaha but no hahahaha. *** Deuteronomy dog. Z capital z.

he enters the room
coyly she tugs her skirt
just a bit
enough to reveal her shapely legs
tossing back her golden tresses
she shakes her head
just a bit
hoping to attract his eyes
tiny shift of the derriere
she takes long, gentle strides
just a bit
has he seen her yet?
bending to reveal cleavage
she winks as she pours champagne
just a bit
a taste of ambrosia from a vixen
“Sometimes less is more,”
she says in a deep, sensual tone
“Just a bit,
I saved the best for you.”
in the mirror she sees his eyes
they follow her
just a bit
before he saunters to her side
he kisses her hand
warm and soft
just a bit
camouflaged emotions become clearer
other partygoers stay inside
he coaxes her with flashing green eyes
just a bit
as he leads her to the lakeside pavilion
a vision in the moon’s soft light
she moves closer
just a bit
and whispers demurely in his ear
“Your place or mine?”
they giggle
just a bit
"Should we call the babysitter?"

As the glow of the sun fades away
A thousand lights begin to shine
With a melody all their own
A song of the night's design
The lights of the city come alive
As neon lights beam with colorful displays
And the pulse of the city is revived
With its unique tempo and tone
And the parties continue through the night
As the partygoers dance with delight
And everything feels so right
As the heart of the city shines bright

When the candy corn attacks
The yellow and the orange
And the ever sweetened white
All come after you
They take you in their sweetness
Enveloped and morphed inside
Grand scheme of candy delight
To take you within
Just when you thought you were safe
Candy corn comes attacking
Right on the offensive track
With high awareness
The yellow slows you way down
And orange curls your stomach
And white takes and knocks you out
Combination punch
Of all the Halloween tricks
This one seems the deadliest
To the weary partygoers
Trying to have fun

He strolled into the darkly lite room
giving off the scent of confidence
that eminated from him
that was palpable
even though
the room was crowded
with partygoers -
his skin was a rosy ivory
and hair curly and long
while his eyes took in the scope of the room
and there he spotted her
sitting off to one side with her friends...
the dark eye lashed man strode purposefully
across the room where she sat
"Would you care to dance with me" he asked politely
as she rose and took his hand
and with that began the Tango
there and then began the Dance of Love
as she fit into him like a hand into a glove.
