Lake Ontario
great lake
beautiful lake
in Huron Wyandot
Ontarí’io
names but thunder
they merely rumble
intentions that echo
lake of shining waters
beautiful water
in Iroquois Mohawk
Oniatari:io
names are how we honour
reflecting our own light
our little wave
our tide our turn
to appreciate this life
Such a spiteful petulant bloated fake
Waterways’ names aren’t for you to take
With hubris your guide
Set your golf clubs aside
And go jump in your rechristened lake!
When Hugh and Ron got drunk together
and pissed a lake of mighty size,
their eery neighbor also spilled it
and let his eery waters rise.
By far superior was another
with depths of thirteen hundred feet.
His superiority was awesome
which Hugh, Ron, Eery couldn’t beat.
Below them lay Ontario Lago,
a bloke whose name is not much fun
because no matter how I turn it
I can’t create a lakey pun.
Reincarnation in Northwestern Ontario
Much thought to time is given
In Reincarnation.
To what it would be like
To come back again
In another form.
I thought about survival
And decided I would like to come back as a snapper
In Northwestern Ontario.
“So, please, great Ganesh, Remover of Obstacles,
Don’t let them build a nuclear waste dump there!”
EASTER-
No little grandchildren, no grown sons or daughters, no family or friends.
We are in provincial lock down, thanks to Covid !
So this is the first Easter I have no excuse to "not have time" to put my
"Higher Power" first.
Covid, you think you really got us! Guess what you eveil thing?
You have just made it so that many of us, in particular me, seek my God.
Boy are you in for it!
I ask for forgiveness, for the safety of my family and friends, and for the strength to beat this Covid. I thank my Higher Power for keeping me safe during this stressful time.
Just as Jesus was risen from the cave so will he bring us out of this Covid.
Happy Easter, May your Higher Power be with you.
May you be able to see that the bunny left goodies for your little ones.
when i die send me 2 Thunder Bay
thundered thunder bolts r 10 dbs
Nipigon River Bridge Recharging Station currents
regenerate thunder like brook trout roe
restocking fishing rods 2 ur net,
brook trout wear speckles not glasses,
revolted thunder bolts r 200 dbs;
give 10 loonies to the aboriginal station guard
who’ll cross u 2 station No 8
Nipigon Bridge Lightening Cove,
where lightening recharges
from 1 GW to 10,000,000,000 watts;
when i die i’ll put 100 loonies on my eyes
4 the recharging station guard
2 choose 2 join the recharging
thunder or lightening at the
Lake Nipigon Recharging Stations

Our scenery's greatest view.
Then put you in a great hotel;

The potholes greater too.
We'll show you all our greatest things.

You're absence greater too.
Then hope you come again

urban noise. . .
2000 mile drive
to Lake Ontario
dreamless sleep in tent
till generators charge
There once was a gal from Ontario
Who thought prophecy was her scenario
In reality she spewed
Fallacies quite crude
What an odd, erroneous impresario!
