sex and love are two different things
He was a canvas...a beautiful sight,
An expanse of white, so pure and bright.
Not like the moon that graces the night,
Nor like the clouds that drift in flight
Unlike anything else... but like a swan
Engraved in chiffon.
My feet drew towards him,
Each step etched in the dim,
Crystal chamber of love.
My fingers traced him,
Stroking with hymn beneath the moon,
Coloring a secret wove.
I drew back to esteem,
Stumbled, feeling light-headed, lost in a dream.
Dropping to the cold tile.
Glancing through drowsy eyes,
My gaze stared at him, painted in red.
My blood, my soul
…lost in his stead.
I trace every move you make,
I trace every note you breathe.
But you're a Mozart in disguise
How could I ever compete?
Blind with tears and rage,
I compared myself to what seemed bulletproof,
All while my doubts built up inside,
Forming an invisible bruise.
I tried to be more like you
Though I knew it was no use.
I swallowed all your words,
Like bitter, sacred juice.
What once was admiration
Turned into unhealthy obsession.
I was far too lost,
Blind to your quiet imperfections.
I called it love, but it proved to be venom.
I tried to be you, all the same.
I wore your voice like a second skin
And on the way, I lost my name.
I wish I had seen earlier: I can never be you,
No matter how I chased your tone.
After all, your song must be your own
And mine must learn to stand alone.
photography is an obsession of mine
love taking snaps by design
the capturing of moments that align
my passion for chasing sunshine
and seeing how its beauty imitates the divine

"The painting is her. Her ruin, my hunger. Every stroke on the canvas carves her deeper into me. I own her screams now."
I don't mind saying the ing word now.
I’ve been an *******—
it doesn't ing matter.
The painting on the wall taunts me,
staring, silent, brutal—
reminding me of her.
Of the way she smiled
before I crushed it.
Of the way her eyes used to beg—
God, I miss it.
She broke me.
I shattered her worse.
And still—
I'm not ready to let her go.
I don’t want to.
I don’t know how.
The tears I drag out of her—
holy, violent things,
falling from lips that still curse my name.
She hates me.
Maybe I hate her too.
But hate has teeth and claws,
and love just lies there, bleeding.
Apologies rot
on the tip of my mouth,
waiting, festering.
I could say I'm sorry.
I could beg.
But damn it,
I love to make her cry.
Her sobs are mine.
Her ruined voice is mine.
She’s mine.
Mine to cage.
Mine to ruin.
Mine to break until there’s nothing soft left.
No one else gets to bleed her.
No one else gets to call her broken
Only me
The chaos in my heart
Won’t allow for anything less
Than feeling love amplified
Heightened, magnified, buzzing
Intensity to the extreme
To care for is to cherish
To want is to yearn for
To miss is to crave
I don’t love, I consume
I encapsulate and devour
I envelope and obsess
My soul cannot bear the thought
Of living without love
Deep Painted in me
to absorb the Maze OF you
pure endless desires
There is a permanence In every move you make,
The steps you take when walking the dog
Create the rhythm for a heart that beats
Halfway around the world.
You are the butterfly whose wings provide
The current of air that someone is breathing.
Someone who has known you and loved you
All their life. There is a permanence
That surrounds you In the gliding of your days;
That sunshine is the smile you give them
with your presence; raindrops are the tears
They have cried for you.
The earth you walk so casually on Is their soul.
You are the permanence that
Anyone who knows you, would call Love.
Boom, Boom, Kaboom
My heart goes
When I see you
Vroom, Vroom, Zoom
My heart goes
When I leave you
I see you in the faces of 10,000 strangers
My love for you
Is an obsession for me,
And your love for me
Has become a necessity.
I'd be helpless without it,
A fish out of water,
As sad as Johnny Cash
Before the love of June Carter.
Your love feeds my soul
As the gospel does on Sunday.
Without that nurturing care,
My soul would wither away,
Unable to reach heaven
For the salvation of above.
My life would be hell
If I didn't have your love.
• Hold me close, love
• Never let me go
• Please feed into my obsession
• And never say no
• Make me the center of your attention
• Trail your hands on my body
• I'm the only one you want
• Please don't leave me for somebody
I don’t even know what you do to me,
but I know I want it
to keep happening;
You are a mystery
I cannot fathom;
I try to sound your depths,
and even sinking into them
I cannot tell just how far
you reach,
how far down
I am willing to descend.
Is it madness
for me to want you,
is it rapture I feel
when your skin touches mine?
Your soft breath
whispers in my year,
your heartbeat
the rhythm I dance to,
everything I think about
faded in your shadow.
How do I live,
eat,
sleep,
without you,
as I did for so many years
before knowing you exist?
I am an empty threshold,
doorless,
unhinged.
cartooning relaxes me
I love doing it
a precursor to my paintings
I adore acrylics
fluorescents entice me
fuchsia, orange, green, red, blue,
anything that dazzles under a black light
I never work on one painting
My studio is a messy mess
encouraging me to work on ten at a time
Yesterday I realized I have twenty-six waiting
without a drop of paint
I am working on twelve.
How long can this obsession last?
So far, it has been a steady ten years
Someone once thought
That you were their everything;
Rising each morning like a rolling ocean wave,
Carrying all they could ever be - to you.
Sky filled with only you; Eyes filled with only you;
Their heart brimming
With a love they never knew existed.
Until you.
Someone once thought that you were their everything.
They still do.
