Waxing Nostalgic

     A middling pudding on the table
        flies hover in the livery stable 

    Mud-covered boots ascend to garrets 
        frowzy days London inherits     

    Dickensian scenes

Visitors of the Sun

Our thoughts, like the sea with its white pebbles,
painted by its foam.
The waves come little by little, to halt them.
There, I see Greece.

Beneath the clouds that hide the sun,
its furrows moving back and forth like visitors.
They were forgotten on a pale islet at the horizon, where the gaze can reach.

through open windows
time drifts by soft and slow
heartbeat of my past remains

Lava Lamp

vessel captivates
warm waxing finesse waning                                
more color less stress
glowing going with flowing
lugubrious globular!

vibrant pink guava
incandescent liquid groove~
pahoehoe lava

Nostalgic Recollections

Your kiss still lingers on my lips,
A fleeting memory that time won't rip.
Your smile, a radiant beam of light,
Echoes in my mind, a bittersweet sight.
Your laughter, contagious and free,
Haunts me now, a melancholy melody.

In whispers of the night, I hear your voice,
A gentle breeze that makes my heart rejoice.
The stars align, a celestial map,
Guiding me

Yearning Into Reverie

On dark, cold soil,
atop the soaring green turf,
lay cold, rusty, nostalgic houses.

The path that led to them
was faded and shallow,
with the feeling
it could cave in
at any moment.

Scattered along that path
were derelict vehicles
from different eras
each one different heaps of life.

Fog filled the houses.
It filled the cars too,
like a raging campfire,
too sinister
to be put out.

And yet here

Feeling Nostalgic

A lily-white stage 
once bloomed and blossomed
in rose garden plots
then time’s “green fingers”
sunk a withered root

Feeling Nostalgic

when summer was
a caterpillar 
moving at a crawl,
it became the butterfly
brightest of all

Feeling Nostalgic

Childhood memories
come back on nostalgic track.
With naivety 
I’m happy,
find the child in me.

     Feeling nostalgic
     for the simplicity
     of childhood;
     before innocence rubs off
     and defines us.

Feeling Nostalgic

 

I will turn the page,
to a place of peace,
a street of hued trees,
ending with a pond,
of gliding white swans.

Feeling Nostalgic

love rings in still rooms,
scent of long-lost blooms.
song drifts from the past,
soft stares that don't last—
rise as gone perfumes.

A Distant Melancholy

A chick plucked off its wing
Down the tall oak branches it sung
A song sung nigh free of yearning
Down the hazy amber elm til its life hung 

Near the shore, a kindred spirit melted its last candle
Melted under the dark night sky, its damping light drew him closer
Resuscitating his clockwork, its hand ticked, he threw himself
