Premium MemberMy Promise To Her

Born
A life
A heartbeat
Out from the womb
Into a new world
Held by the hands of love
A beautiful little girl
She cries, and so do I- ((with joy))
Happy first "Birth" day, my Precious one
Now that you have made my dream- come true
I promise- to always love you
To comfort you when you're sad
To be there when in need
And try to shield you
From all evil
Until my
Final
Day

Premium MemberLove In a Lane 2

Day
Passed by,
Reliving.
Parked in a lane,
Hid from watchers as we lovingly kissed,
Losing count of love as emotions thrilled.
Until sunset
Meant time up,
We left
Sad.

Premium MemberFew Are True

Few Are True

A nonet to answer this question.

Will you still stand four us when Black Lives Matter isn’t trending?

So to this question this I do say.
For people lie and are not true.
You will get a thousand yes.
But only one will do.
So this I will say.
To all of you.
Say good by.
Few are
true.

The sad truth.

Premium MemberThe Company of a Pet

A pet is part of the family
Whether it is a dog or cat
They are always there for you
When you are feeling sad
Or you are happy
Cat or dog
Company
For you

 Tribute To L Milton Hankins

His
Presents
And presence
Touched this great site
Thanks to his keen sight
He flavored soup bowls
With words graced with thrills and bows
He did have a wonderful past
Now with sad hearts, we mourn that he's passed

L. Milton Hankins was a great man and I'm
honored to have been at the same table as
he was and breaking bread and having a bowl
of soup. It meant a lot to me as I am sure it
does to others. Best wishes and prayers to
his family, loved ones, and fellow poets.

Premium MemberNovember

trees,
leaves sprawled
underneath,
sway bare branches.
birds embark on plight
of sad farewell, dewdrops
glisten in misty mornings,
frisky squirrels scurry in haste,
holding prized possessions in tight grip!

Premium Member- An Ordinary November Day -

November calls for my attention
                     autumn is drawing to final
                     A trembling aspen naked
                     the leaves are autumn's spoils
                     Cool air hits the cheek
                     the clear flames fade
                     Hibernates
                     gray shroud
                     sad

Premium MemberSpousal Abuse

He said he would never hit her again
She wanted to believe him of course
Sincere and apologetic
Her children begged her not to
Her parents were askance
She has been killed now
A child sad
Abuse is
Living
Rage

Premium MemberLust

lust
seeking
completion
irrational
selfish in her search
caring for no one else
she goes after what she wants
leaving sad people in her wake
unappeasable and determined
she’s always quenchless and unsatisfied

Premium MemberJudging Ourselves Harshly

judging our actions way too harshly
                              putting ourselves into boxes
                                 dooming our life forever
do we see no way out?
                                    self imposed sorrow
                                        a cold hard cell
                                            a sad life
                                               prison
                                                 jail

Financial Crisis

The whole world's condition gets much worse.
Even rich countries experience
worries and difficulties
because of poverty.
Many families
are affected
and rigid
with sad
state.

My Daily Blues

My yearning keeps fading and fading.
Maybe I’m just too degrading,
Or I always fail to please
The sighing talking tease.
I sense smiling lips,
Smell of tulips,
However,
Clever?
Not!!!!

Well,
Maybe
Those I see
Are silhouettes
Of true souls I met.
Maybe there’s a reason
I’ve no ardor this season.
Could it be that my long lost soul
Is yet to be found and in control?

Broken Reed

I wish to sheer afar from people
who deem me as a broken reed
I dearly hate their nearness
I dearly dread of their
vicious words and deeds
cause they will give
me only
anguish
hate

I Am Missing You

I Am Missing You

I am missing the seas rolling waves
And the light spray upon my face
Clear blue skies above my head
The pelicans quick plunge
Sand between my toes
Looking for shells
Sunrise walks
Sunsets’
Kiss

Premium MemberPatient Treated Like Meat

doctor barely glances at patient
nurses take the most time with her
poking and prodding needles
patient treated like meat
hospital visit
cold stark ugly
in stage four
cancer
sad
