It was a Christmas of oh! long ago
pine trees were dappled with frozen snow
it was a time when Noels were chimed
alongside ladders of life, still unclimbed
It was a season of pure delightement
without technologies bombardment
a moment of grace a time of quietude
filled with the Spirit of Yuletide's exude.
Finally, it is that time of the year
Lights, eggnog, with all the Christmas cheer
Father was singing noels
Then hearing jingle bells
Mother said, “It’s only the rain, dear”
Opening the nesting doll was an ache
Overturning it and began to shake
Was all full of dirt
Got all over my shirt
It was the urn of grandma, my mistake
Whiskey is gone, theres tap water
Left over candy cane's from last year
Nod the noggin yes foods delicious
Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas!
My brother with happiest grin
Certain he was going to win
2D fighting game
That ended in shame
For his controller wasn’t plugged in
Lost my favorite pair of socks
My others all have holes from rocks
Present near the tree
But was not for me
Then found with a nail by the clocks
Whiskey is gone, there's tap water
Left over candy cane's from last year
Nod the noggin, yes foods delicious
Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas!
"Christmas lives in our hearts; sometimes we have to search a little,
but it's there."... by poet
I'll always remember pine Christmas trees
scenting the air, along with plum pudding;
and the lights, soft color-etched memories
family, candlelight, carols to sing.
This year, no lads and ladies will gather,
Christmas will be with friends and memories.
But a year ago, we were together,
magic filled the air midst hours of tease.
If we could but capture moments in time,
save them to replay whenever we choose.
Christmas is the perfect time to remind
memories burnished by love we won't lose.
The magic of Christmas sung in noels,
serenading under stars' silver light.
Candlelight, open fire casting their spells,
A long-ago birth to make the world right.

First Place!
Alternating with awe and amazement
Belief breathes blessings, brilliant and bright
Calming, creative and colorful – so calm
Dreaming of dainty, delicate delights
Endlessly eager to eliminate evil
Friendly and full of feelings so faithful
Graceful, giving, glorifying God
Hopeful, heartening, a happy heart
Inspiring imaginations and insights
Joyfully jabbering with jaded jests
Keeping kindness with a keener kaleidoscope
Loving, living, laughing, lighting lives
Making music, melodies to make merry
Noels, nativities and needs being nurtured
Open odes and olive branches offered
Promises of peace, prosperity and praise
Quiet and quaint quotes on queries
Reflections and reminders of rare rhymes
Silent sounds, silvery and soft
Truths and talents tempting all to be thankful
Ultimately, using those in unbelievable unions
Visiting vibrant thoughts on velvety vistas
Wise and warm, welcoming worthy souls
Xerically xenogeny brought to xerophilous
Younger in years than in yawning yarns
Zestful zealots who live in heart zeniths

Finally, it is that time of the year
Lights, eggnog, with all the Christmas cheer
Father was singing noels
Then hearing jingle bells
Mother said, “It’s only the rain, dear”
Nativity foremost
Next to the Christmas tree.
Numerous carols sung
Near twilight Christmas eve.
Nourished with special treats,
Nocturnes joyously played.
Namaste to the world.

Note:
NOEL capitalized : means christmas
English speakers borrowed the word noel from French. It can be traced further back to the Latin word natalis, which can mean "birthday" as a noun or "of or relating to birth" as an adjective. (The English adjective natal has the same meaning and is also an offspring of natalis.). Noels were being sung in Latin or French for centuries before the word found its way into our language in the 1800s. The earliest known musical use of noel occurred in the text of a Christmas motet called "Nova vobis gaudia," which was written in the 1400s.
Namaste:
an ancient Sanskrit greeting still in everyday use in India and especially on the trail in the Nepal Himalaya. Translated roughly, it means "I bow to the God within you", or "The Spirit within me salutes the Spirit in you" - a knowing that we are all made from the same One Divine Consciousness.
My birthday, Ur Christmas, His death
Toe to toe, heals to floor, fallen with missed steps
The 21st day of September
9th child of birth, must be hell for her to remember
Then again, maybe she's happy
Living life rejoiceful, sitting on the same doorstool
Bless the heart of this poor fool
That was my birthday, this is ur Christmas
As if holidays were forgotten
Seems these passing noels only could kiss us
Perhaps that's good enough
Besides, this is coming from a child
Whom never understood himself
Circling thoughts, is he abandoned
Is he still a follower of ur Christ
Temperatures heated
No longer do I lay immortal on melting ice
Recieve your gifts, for misery will never decieve this myth
That's Ur Christmas, this is his death
First weekend of April, last sunday of February
Love me! I'll wed you, then be buried
I've become fond of you
But I'll never miss this burden I've carried
Granted no sins, no chances to win
In this failing day, I'm so eager to attend
Ur son, my mothers child, have my coffin rest on another isle
My brother I knew little of you
But I miss your smile
This was my birthday, Ur christmas, His death
