Premium MemberSecrets by the Fireplace

At Christmas, by the fire's gentle glow,
The secrets shared, a whispered, silent flow.
My nephews, bright, with eyes so full of glee,
And my sweet niece, a sight for all to see.

The firelight dances on their youthful faces,
As sticky marshmallows leave their sticky traces.
The scent of chocolate, warm and sweet and deep,
A tapestry of memories to keep.

We toast our smores, a sticky, sweet delight,
As secrets bloom in the warm, festive light.
Of wishes whispered to the falling snow,
And dreams that only Christmas can bestow.

The world outside is sleeping, hushed and white,
But here, within, the fire burns so bright.
And in this haven, safe and warm and low,
The seeds of future secrets start to grow.

So let the embers flicker, red and gold,
As tales of wonder, young and new, unfold.
For in this moment, simple, pure, and true,
A family's bond is born anew.

MY BROTHER AND I

My brother and I,
while choosing a name for my nephew,
tried hard to think of something unique—
something with variety and charm.
“Tractor” was the first choice,
then came “Tumbler,”
and we fell breathless with laughter,
comparing impossible things—
his eyes to stretching bubblegum.
We joked about how his name
might sound when he grew older.
Laughs and tears rolled down our cheeks.

I Gifted My Nephew a Book

I gifted my nephew a book.

He’s going to admire the colors and the happy faces inside
while the words are read to him by someone more senior.
He will point out the pumpkins, the kittens, the rainbows
and smile ear to ear with excitement and laughter.
He will reach out to turn the cardboard pages
before the sentence is even finished.
He will bounce up and down on the lap of the reader
while it gets closer and closer to the end.

I gifted my nephew a book.

One about how he’s the apple of my eye, the stars in my sky, the pumpkin to my pie.
One about how I will be with him always.
That our lives are forever intertwined.
His purity is admirable.
He embraces the rain, he sees no gray.
His innocence is peaceful
as he can sniff out what is true and avoid what is not.
His naivety is blissful
as he associates me with love and play, comfort and care.
He knows nothing within the deeper levels of my being,
but he still loves me.

I gifted my nephew a book.
A promise to him that I will be by his side, endlessly.

Premium MemberJoy of Our Hearts

Light of our lives
Kicking, he came
And then our world
Was not the same

Joy of our hearts
He's innocence
Making us laugh
With his presence

Love of us all
Childish babbles
Stolen our hearts
With his dabbles

Heaven's li'l child
Active and smart
How blessed we’re
To be a part!

Sunshine that smiles
Oh yes, that's him!
Such naughty acts!
Life's never dim

Song of our lips
He's truly that
His parents' gem
No matter what!

His dad's delight
His mom's treasure
Whate'er he does
Brings us pleasure

Go, spread your light,
Your love and joy
This world needs you,
Our bright young boy.

Running around with his little feet,
Watching his playfulness is a treat,

Trying to speak in a mumbling way,
Just listen to what he has to say,

He's keeping his parents on their toes,
Acting as if everything he knows,

Laughing mischievously like an imp,
Jumping here and there like a small chimp,

We want to shower our love on him,
Our hearts are joy-filled up to the brim.

Sleeping Boy

Sleeping boy
As he rests on my chest
In quiet slumber, he peacefully rests
Grips on my finger
A smile perched on his lips
With thoughts of angels
Somewhere, giving him a kiss
Bearer of light
That’s what he’ll be
Sweet, caring, benevolent
Is what I’ll teach him to be
So, for now, sleeping boy
As you rest on my chest
An angel face,
That makes my heart smile with just a gaze
This world is yours to see
Never let anyone dim your light
Or overshadow all that you can be
You’re meant to do great things
All the things I wish to live to see.

My Nieces and Nephews

My Nieces and Nephews

This is just a little rhyme,
That will make more sense in time,
A little keepsake from my heart to yours,
To remain with you as your mind matures,
So you will always see, what you mean to me,
So you will always no, my love for you as you grow,
At times you may mistake my authority, as simply strict seniority,
But remember it’s because your happiness is my priority,
I will always be your protector and defender,
Surrounding you with my love so tender,
No matter the disaster, together we will triumphant and master,
I will always endear every second that you’re near,
To fill your life with love laughter and all things nice,
To push you forward so you succeed at life,
To hold your hand in the darkness of strife,
I promise to be the best auntie I can be,
To love you as much as you love me,
Dedicated to my beloved nephews and nieces,
Our families best master pieces.

My Nephew, My Angel

Gazing into your angelic eyes
All around, echo your cries
With tiny feet, tiny palms
I cradle you, in my arms
From sunset until sunrise.

Your pretty smile, I love to see
You mean the world to me
Care for you all day all night
Never let you be out of sight
On my mind, in my heart you be.

When in grief with tears to hide,
To seek advice or to confide,
Your aunt will lend a patient ear,
Or a shoulder to rest your tear,
You will find me by your side.

We've met just a while ago
Yet each other, we seem to know
Will always wish the best for you
May you succeed in what you do
Can't wait to see you grow.

My Nephew Ace

My Nephew Ace

My sister is a very lucky person,
Not only us she married to a Pace,
She has three wonderful kids,
And one of them goes by Ace,
Ace is not some ordinary kid,
He is very special in our lives,
But I know my sister wishes for one day,
She wouldn't have to have all the strife,
But she never once gives up,
Never once puts her head down,
I'm very proud of my sister,
And happy she keeps me around,
She has her hands full,
Especially with Ace,
But to see how happy he is,
Always puts a smile on her face,
So this poem is for Ace,
I have put these words together,
To show him that no matter what,
He's going to be loved forever!!

My Little Nephew

It made my day
To see you smile
I want to cry
As day by day
You get bigger
You stuck out your tongue
Opened your big blue eyes
My little nephew
I sure do love you

Women Advice From Uncle To Nephew

WOMEN...ADVICE FROM UNCLE TO NEPHEW
(based on a conversation of letters from a Greek uncle to nephew 460 AD)

Dear young man, if it's love you seek
Beware that you don’t seem too meek
A woman says she wants a man
Who will be kind --meet her demands
But men who try to please with smiles
Are not victorious in life's trials
Lift up your eyes and look around
The bold men rule the sky and ground
If you’re demure –you’re thought a freak
And women spread the word you’re weak
If you run scared or spurn a fight
You’ll find your bed an empty sight

Nephew

I was young as i watched grow up

Even Knew what was going on around you

Wish'in he was a better father
But he didnt want to bother

Wish'in your momma wasnt so selfish

Should of given you more love and affection

Money cant buy what you really needed
Its like you almost got cheated

What about some morals like right and wrong
Learning how to be a man
How to take a stand

I wish i could have been there more
Wish'in you didnt have so much to Endore

Only one aunt of a few
Wish'in there was more i could do

Your like a little brother to me
You'll make it, you'll see

So just hang on tight,
Your future is in sight,
Dont give up without a fight

You'll do alright, you'll see
You'll always be loved by me

To My Nephew Hunter

Loving sighs and lullabies and kissing you goodnight

Loving you as you love me and keeping you in sight

Gum in hair and spilled milk scares

and teaching you to turn on the light

My bond with you means so much,

yet I've run out of things to write.

To My Lovely Nephew

Pretty little face
Pretty little body
Draped in your white linen
You remind me of an angel
Pure face
Pure soul
Pure heart
I want to drink in your
Pure and limpid spring water
So as to purify my soul
You mean so much to us
You have been the first to come
And you have brighten up our house and our heart
You are the sun
You are the beauty
You are the joy
You are the peace
You are the innocence
We all love you Papa

My Nephew

Joshua Mason, my nephew, was born with OI and he is still here.
When he was born things weren't good and my eyes were full of tears.
So far he has made it 3 weeks and one day,
I know he is really strong and he will make it all the way.
He is still at Children's Mercy so I don't see him as much as I want to,
I wish I could see him everyday, but it is just too hard to do.
When I see him I don't get to hold him like I wish,
But it makes me happy when I talk to him and I give him a kiss.
When he was almost 2 weeks old he smiled when I read him a book.
Oh how I will remember that cute little look.
I hope he gets to come home within the next few weeks,
So I can hold him and play with his chubby little cheeks.
When I am not with him I hope he knows that I love him,
And that I am always thinking of him and praying for him.
When I can I will hold him and let him see,
How much he really means to me.
