full moon shining down
glowing in the black night sky
controller of moods
full face of the moon
casting its light on the sea
control ebb and flow
shining moon above
it watches us while we dream
knows all our secrets
Once upon a full moon blue
I looked above and thought of you
I wonder if you see it too
This elegent moon so full and blue
Once upon a full moon blue
The morn has come and so has the dew
Glistening on fields and roof tops too
The sun has come to breath in the view
Once upon a full moon blue
Fading, fading i'll see you soon
New moon outside my bedroom window,
Restless and unable to sleep.
Another new cycle begins,
I’m wide awake, drinking it in.
Silver glow fills my bedroom,
Shadows are cast by moonlight.
Outside the world is quiet,
Not a sound to mar this night.
All thoughts of sleep are forgotten,
Tiredness instantly gone.
As if lured, I stand at my window,
Drinking in the beauty of the night.
Taking a long deep breath,
I then sigh contentedly.
Smiling til my nose crinkles,
Feeling a deep sense of peace.
I return once more to my bed,
Leaving the curtains open wide.
The glow of the moon on my duvet,
I know I shall not sleep this night.

As the sun begins its journey
Darkness overtakes the light
The moon wakes from its slumber
As it ushers in the night
The sun gives up its glorious hold
As the moon begins to rise
The pinkish glow of defiance
As they battle to own the skies
But the moon remains persistent
In its quest to gain control
While the sun looks for a resting place
To hide its radiant glow
The moon becomes impatient
And calls for the stars to appear
The sun is growing weary
For it knows its time is near
The stars reflect the moonlight
As the sun is seen no more
Each night, this battle rages
Just like the one before
The sun returns at dawn
To reclaim its rightful place
But the moon will rise at nightfall
As the sun sets in disgrace
Out next to the weeping willow
Half-full moon still shines in early morn
Amazingly the glow gets brighter
As the sun on the horizon rises
But the sun earlier was shrouded
Obscure because of the fog and mist
The birds did not seem to mind at all
Their chirping was very shrill and brisk
The sun rises over the horizon
In a fireball of red- red this day
As the sun appears everything
Seems to speedily move on their way
The clear light that is on the moon now
Much brighter with a glow that's silver
There's an aura on the very edge
That reveals it is time to go soon
Time for me to go as well as moon
Duty calls...responsibility
The chores of the day to care for home
To see my families' needs are met
I can taste the moon
Effervesces on my tongue
tickling my throat
Or is it more like
Oreo Cookie filling
So sweet and creamy
Marshmallow softness
Lite and airy as pillows
Sugar confection
I can taste the moon
In dreams where fantasy rules
It is possible
The Sun Rises- -The Moon Sets
Think of life, the cycle of
How radiation can support life, enough heat to
Ensure a stable self sustaining system.
Something like our RA, peasants producing
Under this celestial god. He may be dull at times, but
Never far from active.
Rising to all inhabitants.
Imitated by many, but none can capture
Something so surreal. For many hours
Everything thrives into productivity only to
Soon fade.
Telescoping images of you in the night
How warm is your glow soft blue white
Ever circling the world we call home
Master of revolution, elliptical, precise
Omnipresent, effervescence
Orb of the night, silent in flight
Never failing, glowing light
Shimmering beauty, through magnified eye
Emitting a wondrous, magnificent sight
Torched your surface, by meteor showers
Shine again tomorrow, I'm forever yours

A full moon glows again tonight.
Why is it so mesmerizing?
Physics tells us that gravity,
Between the earth and moon,
Keeps them both on track,
As the circle round each other,
On their annual oval,
Around our star.
Maybe moonlight is hypnotic,
Because it actually is sunlight,
And the moon a mirror of the stardust,
That we all are
She walks when the
moon is full
Her face illuminated
by moon - light
She cannot bear the
light of day
She comes alive only at night
Moon Goddess that she is
She knows about
the darker path
One dream away from
oblivion
She haunts the fields and
small villages of our land
Let's not forget that we
are mortal
But the lunar lady is not
She glows under the
light at night
Waits for her demon lover
To embrace her
Before bitter sunrise
shatters the myths
of night
and she must hide
her face
from the sunny beams
of day
Desperate Moonlight
Shining down upon
Upon faces full of unhappiness
And smiles that have withdrawn
Man on the moon never frowns
For he is forever frozen in time
With a wink from his half moon
Happiness no one can deny
Sitting outside a dark window
A child timidly awaits
Waiting for the moon to shine down
And show his undeniable fate
Happiness is certain while the moon shines down
Not an unhappy face to be showing
Not a frown to be found
Desperate Moonlight seeks out
For its time is not long
Slowly gliding above the stars
Getting ready to leave before dawn
Desperate moonlight disappears
With no promises to be seen again
Unhappy faces keep waiting
To see that man on the moons happy grin
Crescent moon in sky
Full moon somewhere else in world
All share your beauty
The moon plays at being the midnight sun
with abandon he struts across the sky
in such majesty it catches my eye
I bow in obeisance, my heart is won
Behind him come plunderous clouds of white
riders on horses with dust in their wake
racing steeds on a quest to overtake
the renegade moon in his selfish plight
Closing in for capture they poise their net
as the stars watch their proud King's demise
the clouds press on eager to seize the prize
and use the moon's light to their own benefit
The final bugle sounds, in hues of gold
The sun peeks up to watch it all unfold
I know the sun rises
When the moon sets
I know the moon rises
When the sun sets
But yet here we still stand
Even when a cycle fades…
The moon cries at dawn
As tears drip onto the now fading smile
That disappears due to the passing
It mourns its morning demise
As through the light of sun
It will disappear
The moon is elated at dusk
As its smile beams a new light
Evident to the nighttime watchers
That look to it for beauty, for romance
The sun disappears offering darkness
For the moon to appear
When the sun's burning
arms outreach
it's warming
oriflammes,
they cup the
moon within its hands,
the wild night it tames.
The moon surrenders
to the sun, for the mighty
heat it feels. Yet, the sun
asks not then for submission
but offers then its zeal.
It desires to share
in, of the sky
as two that shine as one,
to come together
hanging high
the moon and lover sun.
