I know the sun rises
When the moon sets
I know the moon rises
When the sun sets
But yet here we still stand
Even when a cycle fades…
full moon shining down
glowing in the black night sky
controller of moods
full face of the moon
casting its light on the sea
control ebb and flow
shining moon above
it watches us while we dream
knows all our secrets
I can taste the moon
Effervesces on my tongue
tickling my throat
Or is it more like
Oreo Cookie filling
So sweet and creamy
Marshmallow softness
Lite and airy as pillows
Sugar confection
I can taste the moon
In dreams where fantasy rules
It is possible
Form:
Once upon a full moon blue
I looked above and thought of you
I wonder if you see it too
This elegent moon so full and blue
Once upon a full moon blue
The morn has come and so has the dew
Glistening on fields and roof tops too
The sun has come to breath in the view
Once upon a full moon blue
Fading, fading i'll see you soon
A full moon glows again tonight.
Why is it so mesmerizing?
Physics tells us that gravity,
Between the earth and moon,
Keeps them both on track,
As the circle round each other,
On their annual oval,
Around our star.
Maybe moonlight is hypnotic,
Because it actually is sunlight,
And the moon a mirror of the stardust,
That we all are
The moon cries at dawn
As tears drip onto the now fading smile
That disappears due to the passing
It mourns its morning demise
As through the light of sun
It will disappear
The moon is elated at dusk
As its smile beams a new light
Evident to the nighttime watchers
That look to it for beauty, for romance
The sun disappears offering darkness
For the moon to appear
When the sun's burning
arms outreach
it's warming
oriflammes,
they cup the
moon within its hands,
the wild night it tames.
The moon surrenders
to the sun, for the mighty
heat it feels. Yet, the sun
asks not then for submission
but offers then its zeal.
It desires to share
in, of the sky
as two that shine as one,
to come together
hanging high
the moon and lover sun.
In the Shade of Half Eclipse
Silence…………………………………………….
Portent breathing
Light diffuse
Scattering bird song
Silence……………………………………………
Indrawn momentum
She held
Prophecy by hands cling
To premonition
Light fading
Dispersal of half moon shadow
Reaped by tufted grass
So hushed………………………………………..
Encumbered by trepidation
Shade deepening
Held by half eclipse
Nature freed by expectations darkness
Half moon shadow
Half moon light
Unveiled the fairy land
