Premium Member The Lament of Zeus

Thou, Minos, know I’m weary of all things,
Of wars and deaths and cabbages and kings.
I wield that battered shield that is the sky,
And with my strength protect what ‘neath doth lie:
But what when Earth itself would wish to die?

Premium Member Princess Ariadne had an Empathetic Heart

King Minos of Crete asked Daedalus,
the inventor, to create a labyrinth
beneath his palace. He housed Minotaur,
a fearsome monster in the labyrinth.
Minotaur had the head of a bull and body of a man.
Princess Ariadne aided
the Minotaur, in an escape;
she had an empathetic heart.

The Autistic One

I live in a translucent room with no door
It has
floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Like a two-way mirror
I can see out
But nobody can see in
I am trapped!

My life
is like a hut
in the middle of Daedalus finest maze
he built for King Minos of Crete.
There is no way in
And no way out.
I have tried to escape
But to no avail
I'm forever getting lost.

My mind
Has grown selfish over the years
there's no one to think about
and no one to care about
Just me
lost in this labyrinth of my mind
for where there is no escape.
Like a tortoise
I carry my world around with me in my shell.

The Decay of the Dwell of Minos

This is The Dwell of Minos,
noble Castle of human wit and learning.

Minos, the King of Crete, so renowned for justice,
symbol of a noble soul.

Here, hidden stands The Temple
where The Sixfold Hexagon in two divides,
judges from the dead.

The grandeur of Minos
along with Radamantis and Éacos, (The Three Judges of Death)
grow smaller and smaller
as they descend from the noble Crete,
into a place mute of all light.
Where wit and learning are unknown.
Where human Judges of Death, are unknown

Meteorite

Meteorite

Comet, fast at last, Here!
Hidden from the storm,
Fires in the House of Glory,
Cards prepared to win.

Memphis, Minos, Minus,
Just another rhyme,
When you drop that dine,
Kidding or not!

Won that space & time
Destructive by force,
Concrete with desire,
Comes with fire!

Broken into pieces
There is no need.
For you to fuss or kid!
Time has gone, like a meteorite!

Gods

I am a god
Ichor drips from the wounds you left.
Like Zeus and Kronos, I will surpass you.
I will rule everything you were afraid to.
I won’t let the thought of you returning smite me.
I shall destroy everything you have done using your own weapon-
Hands with leaden callouses, touching things and making them worthless.
You are nothing like Minos.
You are nothing like my mother.
She, like Hephaestus, creates beautiful things.
She forged me into a god.
Now tell me- what creature are you?

Hekate

In the shadow of moonlight
My cape pulled up around
Me tight, standing at the crossroads
Under the tree of life, eyes like fire
In the night...
I call upon the spirit of HEKATE
As thunder rolls and lightning strikes
She rises up from out of the underworld
Like a phoenix out of the flames and
Whispers my secret name, speaking in
An ancient language I knew in a lifetime
Once a long, long time ago...
Oh HEKATE supreme and powerful
Goddess of all witches and the triple
Crossroads, Oh HEKATE supreme and
Powerful high priestess of water, wind
Earth and fire, immortal and ageless in
Her beauty with one looks in her dark
And enchanting eyes you feel yourself
Drowning in a sea of desire, seductively
She dances the dance of celestial intrigue
She says clear your mind and come and
Go with me, you have found favor with me
HEKATE, Oh HEKATE supreme and powerful
Queen mother of water, wind, earth and fire
From out of the Urns of Minos...
HEKATE goddess of the crossroads
Oh HEKATE guides me and protects me
Always...

Love's Unknown

LOVE’S UNKNOWN

From the Labyrinth
Love’s been great struck Daedalus
To that day on forward
No one could ever know
You are his love.
Even unto Greek mythology
And from nowhere to cyber space you shall come!
In local mythology
You are dealt once more
Captured that neither a cyclops with a big eye
Can take and rupture you
For this moment you are mine
The pulchritude God has given you retained
Yes, you are Daedalus in love to me now and forever.

Daedalus: Mythical Greek Architect and Sculpture

When I Go Dreaming

Oh when I go dreaming
Off to the River of Gods
To Easter Island
To the Palace of Minos
To the Temple of Poseidon
To the Acropolis

Youth and Demon Death
To the Gate of the Lion
To the Gate of the Fish
Off to the horizon
Off to Mount Everest

To the Sea of Tranquility
To the soft sands
To my lover’s arms
With you I will go
Until all is gone
