Communicate

Why are we fighting
Why can't we sit down like before
And take turns to hear each other
Or we're so out of love that we can't hear anymore

Why are we fighting
Why does it feel like you've got something to say
Have you been suffering all alone
And now you plan to actually be alone

Cause if you'd only lay it on me
And looked me in the eye
You know I'm hurting too
And the silence is hurting me too

You might think I'm fine
But I'm just being a man
I can't let you see the little boy in me
Whose afraid to lose you

How about you wait for a second
Instead of rushing out at the first chance
Or are you afraid of what they'll say
Cause I've been in a room just me and you and we had a nice night

I'll start by saying how sorry I am
Cause you a flower, delicate
And I should have understood you more
But know my feelings haven't changed

I'd hope to hear you tell me
That you are not drifting
You're just floating in your thoughts
And that you wanna hold it down with me

In the conjugal life’s complex topography,
vowed to traverse to the end together
within the sacred institution of matrimony,
the path may bifurcate where distrust dust gathers.

Marking the legal dissolution of marriage,
the partners once embraced by love and commitment,
walk divergent walkways through the emotional corridor,
away from incompatibility, for they grow apart over time.

The common course splits with the conflicting mindsets,
plunging into whirlpool of emotional challenges,
bears testimony to how the convivial chord
of conjugal harmony the impaired sentiments crumble.

In the lonely search for the way out of despair
psychic positivity leads to personal growth,
offering the opportunity of new beginnings,
helping to rise from the ruins of the past.

Self-esteemed prudence is a guide to navigate
the new reality through the terrain of self-regulating life,
and curve out an independent course to move on,
for the night ends, a new sun rises in another dawn.

Sparks Will Fly

Sparks will fly between two lonely hearts,
But they might end up torn apart.
No matter how hard both will try,
The sparks between two hearts will die.
But then the cycle will restart.

This will be our story’s first part,
Two lovers decide to depart.
But even though both lovers cry,
Sparks will fly.

The two lovers get past this subpart,
And decide to seek a fresh start.
She ties the knot with the perfect guy,
And he marries the apple of his eye.
Even in the midst of a broken heart,
Sparks will fly.

Lonely in love jungle

We're left lonely in this jungle called love,
Just the two of us finding our way through.
No help around, just God watching above,
Guiding us with a hope that we're sure of.

The trees and shrubs bow low in reverence,
Bearing witness to promises we make,
With all distractions kept in severance,
Then we can start our love without a break.

The wind stayed still as we exchanged our vows,
Granting God a clear view of our union,
So that Satan won't raise any eyebrows.
With God we'll stay in holy communion.

Time and tide may not wait for us in trust,
Still we'll defy the thorns in this jungle,
To soar to a place made for us, a must,
A chance we won't ever want to bungle.

You said it was my fault
And I said you were to blame
You said this love, you’d halt
I said, this is such a shame

You said I deserved the hurt
I said you weren’t worth the pain
You said I’d need to convert
But I said your bitterness was plain

You said it was never your mistake
Yet, I felt like it was your doing
You said I was just a crazy flake
I said you weren’t worthy of pursuing

You said I was nothing but irate
And I said you had broken my heart
You said, my love had turned to hate
But I knew you were surely no sweetheart

You said more than I can justify
I said more than I should have said
Finally, the time came when you’d say goodbye
And I would look back to a love now dead

The Truth, though, the truth would reveal
How both of us had given into selfish ways
We’d realize, only too late, how it would feel
The loneliness, the heartbreak, the dark days

The truth would soon remember the love we shared
How we lost more than just another friend
We lost the beautiful joy of someone who truly cared
And, it was the truth that grieved the most, in the end.

A lonely life it’s not easy being a fisher’s wife
but loneliness can be a compassionate companion

unbridled spite of bucking boss-mare-waves followed you ashore
her turmoil roiled the blood in your veins
and no amount of vodka
could flatline her seething heartbeat inside you

I saw her in your storm-full eyes eyes the color of stormy seas
you wore your hair in dark waves like hers a windblown tangle
I saw her in your storm-full eyes spindrift and steel blue —
rage of the Bering Sea against a canvas-sky the portrait of your eyes

your tongue-shard slashed at me like a broken bottle in hand
word-squalls blew and fist-storms
flew like splintered glass
piercing me to my marrow till I glistened
but… I could never glisten like her unblemished face at dawn

years of boss-mare-waves ground you down – razor edges worn smooth
your storm-tossed-heart now floats.. a lost raft on a tamed tsunami
your flat-sea-eyes the ancient blue of glacier ice
frosted over dull yet with a faint glow of stories you can’t tell
as you search a cognitive wasteland for words as harmless as sea glass

Premium MemberSlow Dance

Inspired by Glenn Hughes song, “Why Don’t You Stay”

You’re like a breath to my prayer
You’re silence and joy everywhere
You’re the star that glows in the night
You’re the warmth in the sun’s light

Don’t let the madness of yesterday
Leave you feeling like going away
I won’t let you feel lonely, all I can say
Is I feel so lost when you refuse to stay

Listen to my voice in your mind
Believe me, honey, you’re one of a kind
When I said that I love you, I meant for all time
Living without you feels almost a crime!

Listen to me, darling, listen and know
Reflected inside are feelings who show
Without you beside me, I feel so lost
Listen, darling, so you’ll realize the cost

Don’t leave, honey – stay beside me ‘til the end
Let love be your guide and you’ll be my best friend
Never leave me, darling – I’ll always love you so
Take my hand, sweetheart, and we’ll dance real slow

TEARS OF A LONELY GIRL

To what does she owes this?
She asked in her grief
A little girl left with no belief
Of what it means to be a child

She yearns for love as
All other girls does
The lunch pack in the bag
The good night kiss on the head; the pat on the back

Yet, there she was
Sexually serving her father
Doing exactly what her mother does
Not willingly but met with force.

The drops of her tears falls nonchalantly
As an August sky parting a sigh.
The pain she harbors speak louder in silence
In her self talk lies the evidence.

Premium MemberIt's Just Love

Her heart was torn to bits,
By rhythms of fears and tears,
Feeling like lonely was as good as it gets,
His laughter was music to her ears.

Wavering on the edges of shadows,
Lost on the shores of endless desires,
When he came to her, they would compose,
Stories of joy so daring they started wildfires.

Her heart was melted by his fierce blaze,
Almost consumed by his adoration,
She was lost in the wonder of their always,
When he assured her of love’s foundation.

When she met him, she was down,
Feeling less than the worst doubt
But thanks to love, she came around…
Certain that this is what life’s all about!

Safe in the arms of love, safe from trials,
She let him lead her to a love that lives…
Inside those who believe the heart’s lifestyles,
Are promises brought to him who gives…
Sincerity and truth, kindness that never defiles.

Thanks to the love that two hearts gained,
Tears were silenced and hearts were inspired,
So that, in time, though they couldn’t have explained…
Their love was something most hearts admired!

Premium MemberSpecial Friendships

Along life’s path, of many fine things,
Special friendships appear, without any strings.
They satisfy voids, fill in our gaps,
When love has turned stale, and loving collapsed.

Messy— is a word that describes love the best,
Clandestine at times, even secretive quests.
All for mere moments of splendor & bliss,
The deep rooted pleasure, of a deep rooted kiss.

Love isn’t fair, and neither is life,
When fire is extinguished, by husband or wife.
Keep ears to the ground, there’s rumbling nearby,
A likewise sad & lonely, gal or a guy.

The short time we’re here, pleasure & pain,
Love should be easy—an effortless campaign.
But when it turns sour, whatever the reason,
Special friendships appear, to cope with the season.

No time for guilt, no time for shame,
Life is too short, we should have but one aim.
To love and be loved, one in the same,
Just kiss me my love, I’ll assume all the blame!

Premium MemberThe Joys of Married Life

Marriage has it's ups and it's downs
But it far exceeds the alternative
A lonely life without love and affection
Love's one of life's true superlatives

Some days we have heated discussions
That's how it was meant to be
Then she does something ever so sweet
And you forget why you disagreed

It isn't always going to be clear sailing
But if the bond is truly strong
It's worth the struggles times over
If you're lucky it will end up lifelong

The male tendency is to play the field
But trust me life's way too short
To become involved at playing the field
Probably means some time in court

Not sure the ladies will like my analogy
It's the lesser of two evils as they say
Oh boy I think I may have done it this time
Must convince Cathie it's just a cliche

From a Lonely, Bitter Stone

Once my heart was made of stone
Cold and hard, it stood alone
But then I met a gentle soul
Whose kindness made my heart whole

I felt a change, deep inside
As walls I'd built began to slide
Love seeped in and warmed my core
And all the hurt I felt before

Slowly faded, like a dream
As hope and joy began to gleam
I saw the world in a new light
And felt my heart take flight

Now, my heart beats with love and grace
And every smile I see, I trace
Back to the moment when I knew
That my heart had changed, and grew

From a lonely, bitter stone
To a warm and caring home
For all the love that I can give
And all the joy that I can live.

Marriage Almost Always Poetrix

mere reconciliation
of lonely wills
of apparent solidarities......!

Premium MemberGardens of Memories

I live in the,
Gardens of Memories
Were happier days
We've shown.

If you go and I stay,
I walk down these roads
Alone, inside my brain.

In the spring,
Watch for red roses to bloom.
When they fade,
They'll turn a lilac blue.

When seasons change to the fall,
As brown leaves fall to the ground
I'll catch a glimpse or two of you,
And when I do it's only to keep me sound.

If you've gone and I stuck around,
Fighting battles to be won
Now they're lying on the ground.

"Everything you've touched,
Moving along in your way
There is this consecrated spot."

I hear your voice.
I see your smile.
Though blindly,
I may grope.

The memories of,
Your helping hands
How they buoy me all with hope.

If you go and I stay,
One thing I'll have to do for you.
Slowly walk down that long, long path,
Because soon, I'll be following you.

I want to know,
Each step you've taken.
So, I may take the same.

For someday down,
That lonely, lonely road,
You'll hear me call out your name.
