It's been almost nine years since my beloved wife died. So I can relate to your poem.

Thank you, Victor, we have something in common in the loss of a soul mate. I can imagine it doesn't get any easier in some ways but in some ways it gets better. We are still handling legal things that have to be handled and change over bills, etc. from his name to mine, etc. Every day is a struggle especially at my age. I have a daughter who is helping me handle everything. Sara K

Thank you, Sara. I hope that you and Bill will many more years of joy together. We all know and think we plan for death, but it is still a very difficult time. They delivered the grave marker or monument yesterday and we went by to see it today. In some ways it makes it surreal. Thank you for the nice review and understanding comments. Sara K

When You finally replace them with Angels and God It becomes much easier.

John, God has always been the One Who provided but my husband was my earthly source. We all become important to someone and provide them with what God wants them to have on this earth. I know God is supplying my needs, some wants, and He is there for me. I appreciate the visit and nice comments and encouragement. Sara K

Living all alone without a companion is often miserable for most of the people. Man is essentially gregarious. Great Cinquain.

Valsa, in some ways I thank God that Cody is here even though he adds more work, can generate some big problems, but his presence helps drive away the loneliness. Thank you for your kind review. Sara K

Great write. It touches the heart. There's always sunshine after the rain.

Frank, sometimes as a family we will have a laugh or two, but the laughter doesn't last very long, however, I know that the worst of the grief will decline and normalcy will return. Sara K

Nicely describes a stark existence. Like the euphony of "Simply, lonely Quietly". The empty home and winter strong images of a barren life. Love the questions marks. The narrator wondering. Thank you.

Why, thank you, Benjamin. Right now, Benjamin, it seems stark. I am hoping it gets better. Your visit added a special touch to my work. Sara K
