The old man plays violin.
soft, yet bittersweet
A songbird concerto
and dreams of Marguerite.
Those fifty years ago
By steeple creek
It was cold, ten below.
He proposed on bent knee.
They danced in the snow.
Her ring a Marquise.
Through Life's ebb and flow
Their love was complete.
The old man plays on
soft yet bittersweet
A songbird concerto
and Dreams of Marguerite.

Rubies

Marquise
                       Cinque linking
                     Amaranth medallion
Allows a diamond star to form
                  Immaculate teeth, glace cherry smirk
                  Swinging on invisible link
                   Sheriff starlight centre
                    Spikes squeezed between
                      Marquise

Novice shadows cross a molten Moon
Just to discover the rising Sun.
Varying hues of burgundy soon
Emerge and layer patterns that stun.
Marbled marquise clusters of low light,
Bejeweled stars ever fade away,
Evanescent, ethereal sight
Receding in the bright light of day.

Thanksgiving the holiday that marks
Harvest’s end with bountiful blessing.
Reverently thank God with remarks
inviting His goodness expressing.
Life is sustained throughout harsh Winter.
Long nights await Spring to re-enter.

Premium Member Make His Mother Your Best Friend

Diamond rings come in French, Portuguese, British cuts.
They are brilliant, marquise, round, emerald, sometimes pear.
Half-moon, rhomboid, princess, radiant, heart, oval cuts.
One thing for sure, when you see one, love is in the air.

I have had many diamond rings in my day, upgraded mine too.
From round to Asscher to cushion to a brilliant radiant diamond blue.
My husband thinks it is hilarious that I like to keep upgrading my ring.
But he did not give me any choice when he bought it, is the real thing.

He took his mother, who I love dearly, but our tastes are not the same.
I really wish he had let me in on it, and let me have some say in that game.
The ring does not matter truthfully, it is the man you gain in the end.
And if you can do it, please make his mother your very best friend.

Depression

darkness fills the night
   Uninterrupted silence
moonlight pales, loss sight

An
elegant
stone cut as
one desires into
shapes with lovely
names such as Princess,
Radiant or Marquise, or the
actual name of the chosen shape:
Round, Pear, Oval or a precious Heart!
How divine it would be to have
such jewels lavished on me;
sparkling round my neck
in splendid strands
and on my hands
lusciously
lighting
me.

When I (Unconditionally)

When I think of you, I want to speak to you
When I talk to you, I wish to see you
When our eyes connect, I long to kiss you
When our kiss concludes, I desperately miss you
When I express my feelings, I expose myself to you
When I share my thoughts, I feel much closer to you
When our hands meet, I sensually anticipate you
When our bodies fuse, I emotionally escape with you
When I am not in your presence, I place my trust in you
When I am tested vigorously, I unconditionally love you
