Diamond Lane

traveling in the
diamond lane
a 2 caret ride

it has a nice ring to it

Richard. This caught my eye , and chuckled that i first thought Marquis Cut was a place name! But heck, maequis cut was never part of my lexicon anyway. Love it nonetheless. I'll go back 45 years to remind myself of a photo above the fold of the LA Times... an ariel photo of the LA Freeway's brand new diamond lanes commissioned the day before...they were EMPTY with traffic backed up and stalled in the other 4. Ya know what song that brought to mind, right?

Good afternoon Ken, Being a child of the '60's I've already forgotten what inspired me and why. But... to answer your question, the song that it reminds of now is LA Freeway, by Guy Clark ... the Jerry Jeff Walker version. Thanks for the kind words. Rich
