Luminaries Poems | Examples

Rubicon Prophecy

I weave a narrative of unspeakable taboo, a symphony of sighs and groans, a cacophony of defiled innocence.

Your body, a temple of decadence, a sanctum of sadomasochistic excess, where the strictures of societal mores are rent asunder, and the very fabric of reality is torn apart.

Echolalic luminaries periodically tilt, their sumptuary influence shrinking villages into steel vexations.

Precedence of principles and codes, a paradigm of insecurity, influences vermillion equations.

Jeopardized crescents and tacit furor satisfy the economist’s balloons, coached through versions of fossilized tutelage.

Cathedrals of vice and transgressions wraith through legends, inferring civilian nudists infected by hurakens.

Cultures torque and embark, communicating through the columns of Groningen.

Chiaroscurist initiations of mnemonic memories effloresce in alabaster vigils, aberrant cadastral mortmain consuming convergent dispossessed flâneries.

Premium MemberThirst-quenching Poetry Soup

A community of poets,
from all over the world,
with cultures, beliefs,
and faiths, though different,
can participate in this contest
contributing their viewpoints.

As a common platform,
it treats amateur, professional,
famous and budding poets alike.

Inspired by the flawless poems
written by the luminaries,
the novices try their hand,
so innovatively, giving colors
to their thoughts, feelings and ideas.

Encouraged by the comments
posted by the fellow Soupers,
beginners, through their poems, tell us,
how to make our lives so sublime.

The saying, “A poet can see
what the Sun can’t”, seems right,
if we glance at the poems of every Souper.

If we venture to peep into the Soup,
poems of different genres,
as if soldiers doing march-past,
parade before our eyes, at one place,
quenching the thirsts of
the readers around the globe.

The Parents

I watch her even now-running,
Toward unknown paths, forever in a hurry,
With tears streaming down the eyes,
Always pretending to be tireless.

So was the mother and so were the children,
Torn from the luminaries of the soul,
My mother- the Word in my house,
And dad- the pillar that lifts us up to the clouds.

My parents, protective same as the saints,
 Guides through the absurd darkness,
Through which even the grandfathers fought,
With faith in my soul and in my heart- words.

 Despite everything, their love prevailed,
 Even through the overwhelming gloominess,
 Same as the saints shining,
Ahead our parents, and we behind them.

Premium MemberA Woman With Brilliance and Beauty

She is from Nairobi, a highlighted nation of luminaries
A country that encourages the education of women
She has her masters and her PHD but none of that matters
When the men see how beautiful she is, they discount her brilliance.

Premium MemberLight Up the World

Why pen, if just only is to be adored?
For just creating only poetry, ethereal and planetary?

We live on this earth, so beset with misdeeds.
Should a poet dare write of these, and be afraid of poor reads?

Fairy tales, and princes are indeed, in some of our dreams.
But we turn our backs on our country’s most wanted needs.

Like hunger, murder, or worse, making our children, into binaries.
Poetry is your chance, to be one of this world’s hopeful luminaries.

Premium MemberI Cannot Chase Dreams

hypnopompic hues
     multifaceted jewels
          confetti luminaries
a gift from mother?
     i’m cosseted in
          its incalescence
               its wind chime colors
my mind’s fixed upon
     rubies, sapphires, emeralds
even if i fall
     into somnambulant sleep
         i cannot chase dreams
              chimerical blooms
cut gems of rain-and-moon-bows
     that unfurl as i awake

Stars

" The stars are the cosmic luminaries to those skeptics of watchers who assume they only shine their light in the darkness. "

 Luminaries revel on a blackened velvet canvas;
swirling, whirling, tops in centrifugal dance.
A galactic party is in full swing,
at the end of every transpiring day.

Cosmic bliss betwixt sun and moon,
casts its gifts down from the heavens.
Twelve houses borne of numeric scale,
expressing events all the way to Pi.

Mathematical is the sacred tree,
where the Tetragrammaton rebirths its essence;
the seed of life in everything,
gives forth for those of third-eye sight.

Colored marbles travel in abundance,
from black hole to a new universe.
As a child, I counted these celestial eyes;
now saddened that they dwindle from view.

Humankind in all of their ignorance,
beset with greed eliminates my view.
Infinity is the playground of hope
for new stars are forever-birthing.

Stars As Cat Eye Marbles

Celestial chandeliers, strung aloft the Milky Way
Aligning as constellations, invisible by light of day
Torches burning, that the sun prevents us to behold

Earth's luminaries ignite as dusk begins to unfold
Yielding glitter more lustrous than flecks of feldspar
Evoking optimistic wishes from those near or far

Magnificently they sparkle on a black background
Alight are these orbs, as jewels they are crowned
Revealing to all that life holds abundant treasure
Beyond any value, their worth far beyond measure
Lending us such clear vision, as through a cat's eye
Exquisite marbles are the stars in the midnight sky
Sparkling in the heavens, fulgid light for you and I

Galaxy of Crystal

Reader of star stories – far flung destinies
Enclosed within a midnight crystal dome
Filled with flecks of leftover stardust
Cosmic plane of star-crossed constellations
And dust storms of the lost transcendent light -
Clearly sees through falling astral luminaries
And hopes tossed up for the first twilight star;
A gypsy crossing galaxies of interstellar legend –
A woman with starry vision clad in nebula silk
Woven from threads of spiraling chambers -
Knocks at a door with no handle
Star princess – celestial royalty – spends the night
Leaving bits of stray star clusters
To enchant the eyes of a dream child
At the stargate of the dusky etheral.

Thank you Line for your inspiration. I missed the contest but your theme set me spinning into a celestial wonderland!

Our Plea

Be the crime that should be abets
And I will be the accomplice
Be the case that should be tried
And I will be the jury to defend it
Our love shall be the judge of the trial
Love on this jurisdiction we vowed
We defend it today against hatred

Let me know you like legal maxims
Aphorism not found by many
The words that shows prowess
Like the black law dictionary
To be able to converse well
Before my lord at the Honorable
Gathering of the luminaries

Let's build foundries and havens
To melt down all the trouble and hide
In like metal form stood on the road
Our love that had stand out many trials
Liquid metals remolded into golds
Standing out till time indefinite
Let me be your case darling

Angels Danced

My Blue Angels, illuminaries of incandescent light for they frolic between non-existence and temporal time. As they prance amidst the spatiotemporal stars I can see through them for they are magnificent creatures. Like cherubic cannon balls accelerating the alluring ardent air they swing and sway amongst the twilight realms, upon symphonies of strings sighing. This was the day I was born. Now as I gaze at their glittering glare my lachrymal luminaries in a symphonic staccato stance. This was the day they returned me home.

like the brilliant sun
irradiating beauties
my own blue angels

My First Love

My First Love

I saw a caterpillar
Immediately thought could be it's pillar

Though was not easy to pick from the green environment

The camouflage was way too concealing
A complete tender twig in its freshness

Colourful at close range
Clear in the window of my eyes
Dazzling dots of rainbow
A beauty and total awe at eye sight

She completely caught my attention
I became motionless,
Speechless
Yet my heart picked up a rhythm
A lure irresistible to every inner living

I had to pick it i knew a butterfly would result
Sweetness would engulf and the future would be bright

And so the long adventurous walk took off
So locked into each other
Oblivious in everything of anything
Only the two of us existed

We were both young
Sweet memories with such luminaries
She is now a woman
And I a man...

Wingful Whispers of Wisdom

Wingful Whispers of Wisdom

Wingful whispers thru portals spread,
as wisdom softly speaks above our head
Limitless bursts of Love thru needles thread,
Angelic ambiance lies straight ahead
Scurrying starlit sparkles full of grace,
when their work is done they will efface
Illuminations of both time and space,
laboring luminaries of eternal embrace.

Upon their Divine dimensions,
they manifest on earth with ambient attentions
Orbiting with gravitational suspensions,
winged warriors of ethereal extensions
Halos of healing bringers of light,
messengers of love through the mystic night
Harbingers of Heaven with infinite sight,
benevolent in beauty admits their flight.

Winds that carry a breath of bliss,
storms of joy as they witness a soul kiss
The warmth of white light we shall miss,
once they return to their Angelic abyss
Have you seen one so did I,
they appear on the peripheral of an eye
Sometimes blue or white falling from the sky,
one stands behind me now as I shed a tear and, cry.
