Light Up the World

Why pen, if just only is to be adored?
For just creating only poetry, ethereal and planetary?

We live on this earth, so beset with misdeeds.
Should a poet dare write of these, and be afraid of poor reads?

Fairy tales, and princes are indeed, in some of our dreams.
But we turn our backs on our country’s most wanted needs.

Like hunger, murder, or worse, making our children, into binaries.
Poetry is your chance, to be one of this world’s hopeful luminaries.
