My First Love

My First Love

I saw a caterpillar
Immediately thought could be it's pillar

Though was not easy to pick from the green environment

The camouflage was way too concealing
A complete tender twig in its freshness

Colourful at close range
Clear in the window of my eyes
Dazzling dots of rainbow
A beauty and total awe at eye sight

She completely caught my attention
I became motionless,
Speechless
Yet my heart picked up a rhythm
A lure irresistible to every inner living

I had to pick it i knew a butterfly would result
Sweetness would engulf and the future would be bright

And so the long adventurous walk took off
So locked into each other
Oblivious in everything of anything
Only the two of us existed

We were both young
Sweet memories with such luminaries
She is now a woman
And I a man...
